I thought I needed hip replacement; instead I needed these. I have worn them for years at the suggestion of physical therapists at the Rehab Institute of Chicago, who said that these are as good as custom orthotics for at least 80 percent of people. If you are between sizes, order up; if when you try them on, you feel pressure mid-arch then you might need a bigger size because the key point of support is actually closer to the outside of your foot at the intersection between your heel and your arch. The 3/4 size inserts tend to slide forward no matter what: the full size are fabulously more comfortable. If you pronate and have never worn arch supports before, begin with only a few hours each day and be patient as the bones in your feet slowly move back into a proper alignment. They will soon be completely and entirely comfortable: you will not know they are there. The hip pain that I had had for decades is completely gone. Usually pronating ankles cause knee or back pain, but for me it was my left hip.

Excellent arch supports. As good as the 300.00 ones that I've had in the past, no, better. Great for Plantar Fasciitis.

This is a good supportive orthodic. I have an over-pronation as a result from a knee injury 2 yrs ago. I had expensive custom orthodics made and learned through my experience one orthodic does alway work in every shoe thus I now have an assortment of orthodics for different types of shoes. Orthaheel is one of my favorites.

This insole has the most support than any other that I've bought. I have tried many in-store type, even the Dr. Scholl's ones that you stand on the machine and supposedly are customized for your foot. These insoles adapt to many of my other shoes by taking out the original insole. I have very flat feet and had a partial tear of one of the tendons in my foot. The doc recommended Dansko type shoes because of the high arch supports for my feet. I did order a couple pair but Dansko shoes are very expensive and not much variety, especially in sandals, etc. I tried the Orthaheels and found that they are the closest to the strong support I needed. The Orthaheel dress slim fit insoles did not have much support at all in my opinion but these did. I am ordering several pair now and will continue in the future. A good investment to ensure that I can wear many of the shoes I already have. Thanks for a great product.

Orthaheel shoes & orthotics are the very best. I use this orthotic in a neutral pair of running shoes. It is very comfortable & gives me the support I need for my feet & ankles.

I'm flat footed. Let me way that again with emphasis... I'm completely and totally flat footed and have been since birth. Not such a big deal - right? Wrong. Having no arch has helped to destroy both knees and hips and my back is constantly out of alignment. I've bought literally every orthotic out there and some (actually only a few) work but for a very short period of time before they're completely broken down. I get cramps in my feet from being flat footed and my activity level continually decreased to the point of being a couch potato. I found these on Zappos and decided to give them a shot and I love them. Let me say that again with emphasis, I love them. Really and truly... these Orthaheel Oh Active Orthotics have given me back a new lease on a normal life. I have them in my shoes right now. They don't break down so trust me when I tell you they're worth their price. I only wish they would come up with something for sandals. I'm not able to wear the Orthaheel Sandals because I have wide feet due to them being flat so they don't fit. These are the best orthotics I've ever bought and trust me when I tell you. I've bought a lot!

My size is the 6.5 one for women. This insert is too large for me. The support is in the wrong place. The product is a good one but more sizes are needed.

I bought these because I have a really high arch and most shoes don't have much arch support. I am really happy with these insoles. I wear them in my tennis shoes and I don't have any hip or knee pain. I am going to order another pair so I don't have to switch from one pair of shoes to another. Great product.

Amazing product. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and from the time I was given a cortisone shot in my foot and very expensive custom orthotics in January it got progressively worse until I could barely walk. I have used these Orthaheel orthotics for about 6 weeks and my foot has improved dramatically. I've ordered more so I don't have to keep shifting the same pair from one pair of shoes to the others. They are far superior to the hard, very expensive, custom orthotics I was sold.

I purchased two of these inserts for my workout and golf shoes. They work great and help eliminate the symptoms that occur from plantar fasciitis. I would recommend them for great arch support and comfort. They are too wide for a dress shoe, but I plan to purchase the thinner orthotic designed for dress shoes.

I am not happy at all with the orthotic. I got them because I love the Orthaheel flip flops. They saved my feet and back this summer. The orthotic for me makes my feet and back ache after wearing for a few hours.

Just bought my second pair of these and love them! Had to trim them a bit to fit, as I was in between sizes! I had this really sharp pain across the top of my instep (metatarsals) and when I started wearing these it went away! I have very high arches and high instep, these are great. The only drawback is, I need to wear them in wider shoes, but they do well in walking shoes.

I'm a nurse an am on my feet all day. I've had plantar fasciitis for 1 1/2 years. I wear these in my work shoes, and do fine all day long. These are my second pair!

I have an extremely high arch, and I have a pair of Vionic slides and the arch actually touches my foot, so I decided to try the inserts for my tennis shoes. I had to trim a bit to fit my pair of shoes, but that is to be expected. So at first these were great, they were a little less supportive then the actual shoe, but again that did not bother me. What bothered me was after one month of wearing them they pretty much went flat and wore out. I paid quite a bit for these and they lasted a month. I should have sent them back but I was in the middle of moving and just forgot all about them. It was really disappointing that the clogs that I own are great and these failed so miserably. Do not waste your money if you have extremely high arches. Also, just try a clog/shoe made by them, much better. Podiatrist I see said that's what she would've expected out of these, and she recommended the Powerstep brand instead. And if you order their shoes, and are a half size, order down. And if you have narrow feet, look for adjustable straps, their stuff is made for wide feet, which not all of us have. I am an average women, size 12, 5'5" and only 160 pounds. So not like I squished this or anything.
I'd also recommend:
Powerstep, or the actual Vionic Shoes skip the inserts

These made a big difference in my tennis shoes. I can be on my feet all day and not have pain. I m considering gettting the ones you can place in your dress shoes.

I have used these inserts for years successfully to avoid plantar fascia issues . Recent materials changes have made the inserts very noisy in all my shoes (squeaky). I'm going to try powder. If the noise can't be fixed I will have to find another solution.

I have several pairs of Vionic shoes and love the support. I bought some cowboy boots that I needed arch support to be able to wear. These orthotics fit perfectly and I was happy for a few hours till they started squeaking. It is very noticeable noise and embarrassing. I can’t wear the boots without the support so I am going to see what I can do to them to make the squeaking go away. They are the exact support I need, now to stop the noise....

Why is nobody talking about the ridiculous noise these make when you walk?
Absolutely awful inserts. Not at all more comfortable than stock. And they sound ridiculous. 0 stars.

This was a long shot. I wear Vionic flip-flops all summer. When I put on winter shoes I realized I would not be able to wear anything without the wonderful Vionic support so I started shopping for shoes shoes. I saw the Vionic orthotics and thought I have 5 pairs of good shoes that I can't wear maybe with the orthotics I don't need to buy shoes . I was skeptical when I found I had to trim the orthotics to fit my shoe but so far this is working wonderfully well.

Really great orthotic for OTC. Only good for athletic shoes, hiking shoes, boots, etc. Not for dress or many casual shoes.

I wear women’s size 11 in shoes and 12 in athletic shoes. I also have plantar fasciitis. These inserts are my go to for running, walking, gym, work and recreation. I tried at least 8 different brands of inserts (thank you Zappos for your return policy) and for me this was the winner.

I have custom made orthotics that I received from my podiatrist, but I have had an extremely hard time finding sneakers that will fit my custom orthotics without my heels feeling like they're slipping out the back. I decided to give these a try (removing the insert from a pair of New Balance sneakers and using these instead). I'm thrilled! They are comfortable (although take a couple wears to get used to) and fit my shoes perfectly (I ordered a small and I wear an 8 in sneakers).
