I have had a previous pair of Merrell shoes and they are awesome, but these were a disappointment. The sizing was awful so I had to return them. I purchased a size 8 and it was the length of at least a 9, but super tight and narrow in the middle. The toe was not only too long but much wider than the mid section. They kind of reminded me of clown shoes. Maybe I have weird feet, but I have never tried shoes with such odd dimensions.

I am on my feet 12 hours a day for work. These are the only pair of shoes that do not hurt my feet by the end of the day.

I got these (Bracken color style) late last week and wore them all weekend. I wanted a non-sneaker type sneaker to wear this summer since all I wear are Sambas or Puma Voltaics. Overall pretty comfortable shoes (you really can't go wrong with Merrell in the comfort department) even though they have little to no arch support, which kind of reminded me of lowtop Chucks. This is more of a casual shoe so don't wear them to play sports or hiking or anything like that. The Bracken color style is pretty dead on in the pics above. On Merrell's website, the red trim along the sole and around the M logo look more orange. I'm happy with the red-ish color! Very satisfied with the shoe and the price!

Recently got these in a 13 as everyday sneakers to replace the most recent pair of skate shoes I destroyed. They're a little shorter than they look in the pictures, more like low-top Converses, but they look great and are fairly comfortable. I wear either a 14 or a 13 depending on the shoe, and the 13 is a tiny bit snug on me, but not enough to make them uncomfortable.

Very stylish shoes. I had to return my first pair as they were one full size large on me. If you like like Converses, you will dig these shoes. Trust me, I am a shoe doctor.

Hi. Love your Chucks? Hate that after walking even for a few minutes your feet hurt? Me too. I've owed dozens of pairs of Allstars in my life. Please allow me to introduce you to Chucks upgrade. They're comfortable, well built. I loved them so much the first week, I bought a second pair. I may buy a few more pairs just to have in case they are phased out. You don't know me, I understand. But I'm telling you, buy them. NOW!

I got the Bracken colored pair and I like the look a lot. Comfortable and well priced.

These shoes are incredibly stylish and more importantly comfortable. They are great for running around town or dressing them up for a night out. I highly recommend them.

My husband loves them. I talked him into getting them...when they arrived he was glad I did. They are true to size, comfortable, and look better than the pictures show.

These sneaks are bloody cool. I wear a 9.5 in Puma and Tigers, and these in 9.5 fit me well. I have longer toes and these shoes accommodate them well. I got the black ones. They look very nifty with black socks and shorts. More substantial thanks Chucks, a bit less bulky feeling than Keens.

This shoe is comfortable, solidly constructed and surprisingly lightweight. They're semi-breathable, but not as cool as thin canvas shoes, so wearing them in warm weather without socks is a little less than ideal. I think the thing I like most about these shoes is the sole. It's grippy and thin. I can feel what I'm walking on so it feels more like I'm without shoes, but without any discomfort.

A really nice, high quality sneaker - but, as mentioned in other reviews, this pair of sneakers runs narrow. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Overall, pretty decent shoes. Not as comfortable as I'd like given that they're pretty price and Merrell, and infamously comfortable brand. However I place most of the blame on my own wide feet. The materials are nice (though I don't like the leather laces). Pretty good arch support and over looks. I like neutral, and these are it. I'm expecting these to hold for for at least a year. I'm pretty rough on shoes (I shred a pair of chucks in about 6 mos., typically) so that's quite a while. If they don't make it that long I'd be really mad and never buy these again. They last? I'd consider them again.

It fits the foot nicely if you wear thinner socks, consider a half size up if you like thick socks or have a wide foot.

These look like clown shoes in person. The huge white border is ridiculous. Too bad, because they are comfortable.

I wore these fun and stylish shoes once and have been in severe foot pain ever since. I went to the doctor for x-rays and he informed me I have inflamed the nerves under my toes (ball of foot). His first question was, what shoes did you wear? I have a pair of Merrell trail shoes and they are slightly more comfortable, but not much. I will stick with other brands going forward.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned

I got these for my husband for his birthday. He says they are very comfortable. They look nice and are a nice little change up from say, your converse. Would recommend. They were true to size.

I've been looking for a skate style shoe for work/play and have been having trouble finding a shoe that fits. I am size 13 and most skate shoes felt too tight in front. I finally my solution with the Merrell Rant. Totally comfortable right away, looks nice and has decent arch support, unlike many similar shoes. I have two other pairs of Merrell (day hiker and a casual work shoe) that also fit great. I am sold on Merrells for sure!

I love them as I do all my merrell's. had bought a similar style and really liked them so I bought this pair too. definitely more of a fashion/style sneaker but will get you through the day happily. My feet are just a little wide, not enough to warrant wide shoes as they flop around on my feet, so I ordered a 10.5 and still work just fine.

I bought these for my husband as an early Father's Day present. He loves the brand and needed a new pair. He is a size 13 and would prefer a wide width option, but after a couple days, he gets the stretch he needs and the shoes are comfortable.

I got these because I like the style...casual with just enough design elements that make them more than plain. I also got them because I walk a lot to and from work (3+ miles a day) and I need something comfortable. I've had them for about 3 months and I like them enough that I'm going to order another pair (I walk so much that all of my shoes just wear out after about 3 months and get too scuzzy to wear to work). I've had a few pairs of Keen Coronados which I also liked, but the Merrell Rants are more comfortable and hold up a little better.

Bought these as a gift for my husband. Very cool shoes and great quality. They seem true to size, at least the size 13s I ordered. My husband loves them. No complaints on these whatsoever.

These Merrell shoes are the best. The fit, comfort & style are great. I ordered this shoe in the spring & reordered in September for next year. I have 5 pairs in different colors! Scared they will discontinue. As usual, buying from Zappos was a pleasure, no charges for overnight shipping and always arrives within 24 hours! My favorite part is the attitude of staff, humorous but professional.

This item is excellent, yet needs serious adjustment of the insole. I'll guess the insole is machine installed. As delivered the arch was too far forward, and the heel felt a bit loose. Barefoot, I found the solution. Slide the insole back toward the heel. After a couple of such adjustments, the arch support was in the right place, and the shoe felt, well, it lost all feel, just like a really good fit feels.
