I love the new Grand Traveler! This is not just a larger version of the Traveler, but so much improved! This is absolutely perfect for travel, as it not only fits underneath an airline seat, but you can slide it over the handle of your rolling carry-on so that you do not have to carry it through the airport! I love it!

The Grand Traveler is almost perfect except that it's enormous (think Volkswagen)! It's about 3" too wide. I see no way that the airlines would allow me to carry this in addition to my wheeled 21" rollaboard. Maybe occasionally I could get away with it, but I wouldn't want to count on it. I wanted a bag big enough to hold my laptop and essentials that had a trolley sleeve (slides over suitcase handle). Well, this is way too large; the Metropolitan is too small for my needs; and there doesn't appear to be anything in the middle except the Weekender which doesn't have the trolley feature. Right size trumps trolley sleeve so I guess I'll be ordering a Weekender. Again, this is a great design but so huge, that loaded up, I probably wouldn't be able to lift it.

I love, love, love this new Vera addition. It is the perfect carry on piece. They really researched the needs of travelers for this one. Dimension are airline approved, yet still has lots of room and pockets!

I got the Grand Traveler in the new print, island bloom. I love it! I am going on a weekend trip and am by no means a light packer. This will be perfect to fit a couple changes of clothes, jammies, swimsuit, and I won't even need an additional bag for my toiletries (like usual). Can't wait to use it! Awesome! I think I will go pack now! Zappos can't be beat, it was on my doorstep in less than 2 hours!

I love using this bag as an alternative to checked luggage whenever possible. I can easily fit my hair straightener, toiletries bag, an extra pair of shoes, and clothes for 5-6 days without the bag being too stuffed. The outside pockets are perfect for my iPhone/iPad, boarding pass, and a book. Before traveling with this bag I was nervous about the dimensions, but I have used it as a carryon multiple times without being harassed by TSA. However, on smaller planes it may only fit in the overhead bins on one side. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase, the only negative is that it can get uncomfortable to carry if it is heavy, but that's to be expected.

I bought the Vera Bradley Grand Traveler in Very Berry for my daughter-n-law for Christmas. She loves it. It is the perfect size and the pattern is beautiful!

This is a really nice bag -- typical Vera Bradley. Unfortunately it's a bit too big. Wish I'd gotten one of the duffels instead. I would have sent it back and re-ordered but I was leaving for a trip the next day (love the Zappos overnight delivery!). This hardly fits under the seat when full, but it sure does look good!

What a beautiful pattern on this Grand Traveler. Very well made. I took it to the hospital with me and before they asked how I was they commented on my beautiful bag.

I love my bag. I got it in print Camellia and it's much prettier in person, the photo does not do it justice. It does fit under you feet under the plane (flew Southwest). Bought it for traveling with a 2 year old and it fit everything with tons of room to spare. The only improvement I would suggest is having stronger magnets in the front pocket flip area. Once the bag is stuffed, the flap doesn't stay flat and pops out a little.

I love this bag! It is the perfect weekend bag. It fits everything I need. In reading some of the other reviews, I disagree that it is too big. I think that it would fit fine in an overhead compartment on an airplane. I love all of the pockets and compartments. It is so much better than throwing everything into one big pocket. I would definitely recommend this bag. As usual, Zappos is awesome for getting it to me the next day, and for free! You can't beat that!

I was looking for a carry on that was big enough for a 3-4 day trip but not a rollerboard so that I wouldn't have issues with space. This bag is even a bit bigger than I would need for that. The things I like about this bag are: great size, well constructed, option of handles vs. shoulder strap, fabulous construction and placement of the pockets. It is not clear from the pictures but there is are 2 pockets on the one external side of the bag (1 about 1/3 bag width and the other 2/3 bag width) with a flap that has internal magnets to snap shut over them. They are the perfect size for your netbook and bag of liquids for fast TSA screening. One more pocket on the other external side and the pass-through for your suitcase. 4 pockets on inside. As always, I love the option with VB bags that you can wash them. The minor drawbacks to the bag are that it is a shade bigger than I wanted, it is heavier than you'd expect (though still light), and I find the handles a bit too small to get up onto my shoulder comfortably. If the bag is fully packed, the shoulder strap can really bite into the shoulder, so the handles are the way to go. Still overall, this totally suits my needs!

Great bag, large, roomy, sturdy!!!

I am very please with this piece of luggage. I was looking for a piece that would meet the airlines requirements. also, I like the weight but yet, it is sturdy enough to hold my belongings

I love this bag! I needed a bag to hold what I need for a weekend trip. I was able to fit a shower bag, make-up case, hair dryer, brush, curling iron, pair of shoes and a large stack of clothes.

This bag is great! It makes it so much easier to pack and get things in and out of my bag for short trips. The inside pockets and layout make it so much easier for me to organize my things and find them making me less stressed when I travel.

Very nice piece. Very well crafted and constructed, capacious, ergonomic in that its design makes it easy to manage either on shoulder or in hand. I would order another piece without hesitation.

Love it. Perfect bag for weekend get away. And excellent to use as a carry on for plane ride. Fits on handles of my suitcase so I don't have to carry it. We definitely be buying more as retirement and birthday gifts for my family and friends.

This is an excellent bag for travel! Either on its own for the weekend, or as carry-on with a suitcase. A reviewer below expressed concerns that you wouldn't be able to travel with it and a suitcase carry-on, but I just flew with it and don't think it would be a problem at all unless perhaps you really stuff it to the brim. I flew domestically bringing this and my suitcase (roller bag) carry-on and no problems at all on a completely packed flight. The Vera Bradley bag easily fit under the seat in front of me. Plus it was a great travel bag! It has a lot of pockets to keep things organized and the strap to attach it to your roller bag is so convenient. Two people in the airport asked about it - it's really convenient and super cute! Got the canterberry magenta and love the design.

I was looking for a polished travel bag that could be an alternative to a roller board suitcase, and I found it! This bag is way roomier than I expected and doesn't look like it will fit under an airplane seat, but absolutely can be brought on a plane and stowed overhead. Quality construction and a beautiful bag.

I love this bag ! I can put everything I need in it for three full days including makeup and shoes. It travels very well and it is an excellent carry-on if it is very full it might not fit overhead but will fit under seat. I actually have two of these.

Love this bag. My boyfriend's brother lives downtown Chicago and we go in for weekends, and this bag is perfect for that. It can hold my day clothes, going out clothes, shoes, makeup bag, Blow dryer and straightener and full sized shower bottles and a towel. Pockets inside and out (outsides have magnetic flap closure) The bag is giant, but not so huge that I can't take it on the train. Also the padded shoulder carry strap is well padded, making it comfortable to walk at least 2 miles with. I only wish it was cheaper so I could justify buying another!

I am not usually a Vera Bradley fan, but I wanted a good-sized weekender bag for a 3-night stay in Newport, RI, and from reading the other reviews of the Grand Traveler, I decided to try it out. I am so pleased with the size and the pattern of the bag (I ordered the Floral Nightingale) which is much prettier in person than online. Though my trip is forthcoming, I packed up the bag today with everything I'm likely to bring (as a sort of test run) and it's all just fabulous. I am not a light packer, especially during the fall/winter months, and I already have extra space. Definitely recommend. As always, love Zappos and VIP next day delivery.

This bag is huge and that's why I love it. I'm not a huge fan of the Vera Bradley patterns but this one is pretty without looking like my grandma's quilt.
