I've been consistently wearing these boots for over a month now. I have a moderately narrow heel and I prefer footwear with a wide toe box and no arch support. Boots of this type often are not comfortable on me. These boots have been surprisingly comfortable since about thirty minutes after I put them on my feet. When I took them out of the box and first put them on, my first thought was that they were best described as rigid. Yet, the leather creased so quickly and within minutes began to feel less stiff, that I continued to wear them around the house for about an hour. After the first twenty minutes, I was pretty sure I would keep them and after forty five minutes, I really liked them. They loosened up that quickly. Be warned - if you love the unblemished look of the leather, that won't last five minutes. Walking around in them, they creased almost instantly. To me, that was just fine, the creases and color changes were quite attractive, but it you want impeccable looking leather, you will be quickly disappointed. What is interesting is that the creases that appeared so quickly have, in so way, settled in to give the boots a very attractive patina. They continue to be quite comfortable and I am very happy with them. Note that the leather upper is a single layer of leather. These are not winter boots. The flip side is that they are comfortable in warmer temperatures. I like the rubber toe caps, so that if I kneel down in them, I'm not scraping leather toes. The stitching still looks good and I have no complaints with them. I will probably purchase other boots from this company. I would not describe the toe box of these as wide, but I would say they are on the wider end of "normal" and have enough stretch to satisfy my foot's desire for toe box room. I normally fall between a 10 1/2 and 11. I purchased an 11 in these, and there is enough room for socks with medium cushion, but not for my fattest winter socks, which is right where I wanted them to be.

The Palladium boots that I ordered are a great buy. I was really surprised how light the boots are, which make them great for Spring through Autumn wearing, and how well made they are.

I bought these boots for my son who is a bass player and whose day job is stock. The shoes were perfect for leisure wear and looked great on stage, however, they're NOT for work at an on-your-feet, lifting job. He wore them out pretty quickly at work, and found that they leaked and degraded in the rain. But they are comfortable, and look awesome on him. So, the second pair we bought are reserved for style and fun, not work.

My husband loves these shoes. They're comfortable and they look good enough to wear almost anywhere. He wears size 10.5 or 11 (usually 11) and the 11 fit perfectly.

Another solid pair of Palladium boots. I love a good set of kicks and these fit the bill nicely. Whether I'm sporting jeans & tee or khakis & button-ups they look great.

I love these boots! Very comfortable walking street or hiking trails! Leather is soft and flexible. An application of weatherproofing is all these need!

Very nice and rustic looking. Comfortable and only took a few wearings to break in. Although fairly thin does keep feet warm to a certain extent. I ordered my exact size (10) and like the fit. They are roomy up front but mostly width wise and that is not a problem for me. Do not feel like feet are swimming in them. Might have been able to get away with a narrower size but, again, I like the fit. Also like the look since I was not interested in looking like a construction worker. Thick sole offers nice support.

I ordered these in size 9 (I usually wear a 9 on some brands) and this one fits me perfectly. Initially, I wanted the chocolate color but unfortunately it was not available here at zappos so I ordered the chinchilla. When the boot arrived I loved how the chinchilla looks, it was actually more brown than olive in color. The leather is of good quality, soft and durable. I felt comfortable to wear since day one. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone.

What a great boot! Looks cool, feels nice, and overall very comfortable. Fits a half size larger than I anticipated, though. Still a great boot. Recommend!

I'd already owned a pair of Palladium canvas boots for a year before buying these and I love them so I was pretty confident these leather versions would be a good boot. I wasn't disappointed. I wear these for work, where I'm on my feet all day, and they're far more comfortable than a pair of work clogs I already had. I have a high arch and Palladiums are the first shoes I've ever owned that offer any kind of arch support. These boots feel like they mold to your feet in a supportive way, my feet don't hurt after a long day at work. I've had them for about 3 months now and they've held up very well, I expect them to last much longer. Really the only negative I can think of is that they aren't slip resistant, but then again, they aren't rated to be, so can't really complain. There's not much else to say, these are just all-around great boots, highly recommended. And I just have to mention that Zappos, as always, rocks. Thanks.

When I first took the boots out of the box, I was worried because they felt very stiff. When I first put them on my feet, I thought, "wow, these are stiff and uncomfortable!" And yet... just walking across the room seemed to get them to loosen up, so I decided to walk around in them for a few minutes. Wow! in just a few minutes of walking around, they seemed to flex and stretch and loosen. I've had them on my feet for less than twenty minutes, and they feel really comfortable! Boots of this style often rub my heels raw, but these fit perfectly now that they have loosened up. Be aware that the finish on the leather creases instantly when you put them on your feet for the first time. They show flex and bend patterns instantly, so the leather will not remain pristine past the moment you put them on your feet. The wear pattern is, in my opinion, attractive and gives the boots character. They are a bit more narrow in the toe box than I was hoping they would be, but again, they seem to be stretching to fit. Bear in mind that I like shoes with a really wide toe box, so these fall within the range of standard width, I just had hopes that they would be wider than normal.

I love these boots and I'm buying my second pair. They're lightweight and comfortable, and just about on point size-wise. I have only one gripe. I wish the vamp (the part between the laces and toe cap) was of the same quality leather as the upper. It's flexible, which gives the boot a sneakerlike quality, but stains easily and the leather doesn't wear into that great sunburst look like the upper does. Otherwise, great casual boots.

In most sneakers I'm a 12. I tried a 12, but found them a tad too long about an inch extra room. Other than that, 12 felt great, but I'm not sure if I can deal with the surplus room. Although 11.5 had better length, I got pressure of the tops of my big toes and found them to be a bit narrow.

These look real nice with jeans, grey, black, or khaki pants, a fairly low profile boot like shoe with the added toe cover and grippy soles for rain, sleet or snow. I got these to be something in between the big old Sorel boots in the cold & wet weather and flip flops. These are more like a Chuck Taylor's on steroids than a boot. I normally wear 14's in almost all shoes, after trying 14's in these I had too much room in the toe and had to return for 13's. My experience is they run a full size larger than normal. maybe a 1/2 size larger with thick socks. YMMV.

Overall these shoes are fine. My main complaint about them is that they make my feet look a little stubby. Also I don't love the giant logo on the side of the boot. I didn't realize they had the logo both on the tongue and the ankle. Other than that they're not bad.

I've been looking for a pair of good basic black boots to wear during the colder weather and these looked good. However, overall impression is of cheapness. Leather is thin and stiff. Virtually no cushion or arch support. Deciding whether to send them back or not.

These boots are a perfect example of the cheapify-ing of the construction of a boot with a decorated history. When this company took a "hiatus" to upgrade it's manufacturing process, it sold out it's core values which were making an affordable yet durable product. In regard to my personal experience, as soon as I took the boot out of the box I flexed the toe-box of the boot and the crappily glued-on sole immediately separated from the leather before even putting it on my foot. This was not the degree of quality that I expected from a company that formally supplied boots to the French Foreign Legion. Do yourself a favor and seek out a proper pair of boots if you want some durability. Otherwise, these are for looks only and essentially the same as a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors.
