I am glad I ordered these because I was afraid the women's version would be too tight on the calf. It would've been because these fit just fine. A little roomy on the feet but nothing a wool sock can solve. I usually wear women's 8.5 and the 7 in men fit fine. These boots are comfy and I am happy with them. Not to mention, Zappos super duper extra fast shipping. Zappos, you are great!

This boot has no insulation and is more of a rain boot. I also found that the uninsulated models run about a half size large. Le Chameau recommends ordering true size for the insulated models and down a half size for the non insulated versions.

I have had these boots for over two years and they still look and feel like the day I got them. Amazing quality!

I'm a 6'1 woman, and athletic. I love these boots. The quality is exceptional. The rubber is soft, flexible, and stretches if you had to tuck in jeans. Some brands are on the stiff side which is not all bad. Having said that the Le Chameau is my preference. At first I was going to order the Vierzon Nord Plus, but I wanted to go with the less expensive in case I didn't love them. I love! I ordered a 10 in men because in women sizes they were probably going to be tight around the calf. I wanted to make sure I was going to be able to tuck my jeans if needed. I have a pair of Kamik size 11 in women and they fit great but the calf area is tight and stiff leaving very little room for tucking. (still a great boot) My foot is regular width, and of course the boot is not tight because it's a rain boot. Fits as it should leaving room for a wellie sock or a thick sock. Overall a great buy. If you are a woman I recommend buying a man's size because it flatters and fits great around the calf area.

Bought the Vierzon for Quail hunting. A little large as been suggested because of D width and hopefully inersole will correct most of that issue but really like them. As my wife tells me how many boots do you need well probably no more now.

I bought this pair and the Le Chameau iris 2 for women. I am a not a guy, but I wear guy shoes sometimes. I can keep only one pair, and the choice was difficult. This rain boot doesn't hug my foot as well as the Iris, but It has a gorgeous plaid antimicrobial lining, and I can easily tuck in my pants. This is one well-made boot. I'm keeping the guy Vierzon. An absolutely awesome boot.

I love my boots! I live in a tropical country so they're especially useful for safely traversing puddles and mud. I normally wear a size 10/43, but after reading so many reviews saying they run big I opted for a size 9/42. It was a good decision. I only wear thin socks because it's 90ºF all year round so they fit perfectly. The 10/43 would have been too big. I love the looks and quality of the boot. They certainly are eye-catching.

Comfortable, fashionable, and functional. I am very happy with this purchase. They were true to size, much more flexible than other ones I tried on, and then proved themselves time and time again during the big S.C. flood of 2015! Great purchase.

I ordered the men's 41 and the women's 41 (I usually wear a women's 10, and the length is perfect). The women's is very narrow in the foot and calf and the men's is very wide in the foot and calf. I wish there was something in between. I have a narrow foot and calf, so was surprised at how tight the women's boot fits on me. I need to decide if I want a boot that is too snug or too wide. But I love the look and they seem durable.

Great boots. Fits true to size, though a little clunky. I've worn them in heavy snow and cold temperatures and have been fine.

Great boots! I love the soft, high quality rubber in them. I ended up going with the men's version because I like the feeling of roominess in the calf. The men's boots are also roomier in the foot, not as form fitting like the women's, which makes sense in a men's boot. Great for around town, soccer games and out in the fields with the dogs.

Give nature tours in salt marsh and swamp areas. Needed a calf height boot that was comfortable enough to walk a couple of miles a day. Also protection from mites and other biting creatures. These boots fit the bill perfectly. Followed the advice to get half size smaller. Easy to put on and plenty of room in the calf area. Seem to be well made and durable but have only had them for two months.

I ordered these because ladies sizes are always too tight in the calf area. I wear a women's US size 9 and ordered the men's US size 7 which worked out well. The quality is exactly what you would expect from Le Chameau...excellent! Unlike other rain boots these are lighter in weight while still having a durable sole with plenty of traction. I've had a few other rain boots that were so heavy I could barely walk in them but thankfully these are nothing like that. Originally I wanted to order the Vierzon Nord Plus so that I could wear these during the snowy cold winter we've had this year on the east coast. Since Zappos was out of stock on that particular style I decided to give the Vierzon a try. Best decision. I can add a fleece boot liner for cold days and now that we've had a couple of warmer days with lots of melted snow I've been able to try them without the boot liner and they're perfect! Can't say enough about how happy I am to have finally found the rain boot that will keep me dry and comfortable.

These boots are wonderful. I ordered them in a size 41 (I'm a normally a 42) and found that they were roomy and comfortable, if a bit wide, so I chose the women's Verizon instead in a 41. Those worked wonderfully and are a B in width and have a narrower calf. This is essentially the exact same boot, but with a wider foot (D) and wider calf. I'm technically a 7.5 W and 7.5 WW and normally wear either 9.5s or 10s in women's shoes. As they are built the same way, I can't say enough how great they are in the field. I walked miles over uneven, slippery, muddy, stump-hole filled terrain with nary a blister and no sore feet. They were great for mucking out stalls and have a heel for rising if you're on an off a horse for hunting or working. Highly, highly recommend.

First off ZAPPOS is AMAZING! I order the boots on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday! I ordered the Vierzon because I wear a 15D and I have 19 in calves. Out of the box they looked great and had no strong rubber smell. Put them on with a pair of jeans TUCKED INSIDE! Plenty of calf room and a tad to spare. Great fit through the foot and no slip in the heel. Will test this this weekend in the woods.

Loved this boot, but needed more room in the calf. Returned the women's and ordered the mens. Very comfy and roomy. Perfect muck boot for the stables and then washes up beautifully and becomes a fabulous rainy day boot. The quality is top notch.

The boots are good quality and I choose a men's boot because the calf was wider than the women's. Unfortunately they still are a little snug for my liking.

As I had read in other reviews, non-insulated La Chameau are often a half size down. I wear a size 12, and the 11.5 I ordered fits well. These are not what I consider a work boot that I would take on heavier jobs with, as I have done with Lacrosse brand boots, but I have found them very comfortable. The sole is not very rigid, so these may not be for people whose feet need a lot of support. They are a well made boot however, and I find that I do not mind the natural flex of the softer rubber. There is a little sock push down in the heel over a day's wear. Also, wearing them when it is relatively cold out will see your feet get chilled, as they are not made for low temperatures. La Chameau boots are well styled, and I have received compliments on how these boots look. I would recommend them for a wide range of activities, and like having them by the back door to step out into the weather with.

I wear a men's 8.5-9, American size and a 42 in European sizing but these are a bit too long even with thicker socks. I'll certainly use them, they are terrific in wet conditions. If you want the best, Le Chameau is the ticket.

This boot is very well made and kept my feet dry. I wear a woman's size 11 or 11.5 and bought a man's size 10. Even with 2 pair of socks, it was too large. The main problem I had was taking the boot off.
