These are beautiful, well made, and the footbed feels very comfortable. Unfortunately I can't comfortably zip them up so back they go.

These are fantastic boots! Expensive, but worth every penny. Got these for riding everyday, however, they are such a great alternative to clunky rainboots that I find myself wearing them to work when it rains. Extremely comfortable and soft.

These boots are gorgeous! However, they run about a size and half larger. I wear a size 6 and that is what I ordered. The fit is like a 7.5. Also the zippers were difficult to zip. Le Chameau boot makers should re-think their sizes.

These boots are beautiful and did (barely) fit my muscular calves which are often a challenge in boots. But there wasn't any room for regular pants or riding tights left over. I can't speak to whether or not these would stretch to accommodate pants/socks because I didn't try. They seemed a little stiff for actual riding with a flexed foot and I'm not sure how the rubber finish would be affected by friction like posting the trot. Maybe they are great for casual riding or if your calf is a little smaller. If I spent more time in water wearing thin tights or bare legs - I would keep these because they are beautiful and almost look like leather (with leather lining).

I posted an review a while back. I love my Le Chameau Prestige boots. I figured out an easy way to move that stiff stubborn zipper: after i put the boot on i take an extra-long shoelace, run it thru the zipper-tab, I stand up and pull the zipper up! Works like a charm every time!
These boots make my legs look magnificent! I get compliments on them all day long! They truly are one-size-and-a-half larger than your normal size.

I couldn't resist the fashion PULL of the riding boot look and I do ride occasionally so I wanted a real riding boot. I used to do dressage but have outgrown my gear. I recall my leather riding boots were too tall and wide for my leg so I really wanted a narrower and shorter boot with a rear zipper because I loathed pulling off the boots. The Alezan seemed perfect for me! I read the reviews about the Alezan size issue so I ordered the US size 8. My foot is a true-size 9 med width and my calf naked is 14". There is zero arch support. The boot is alittle "swimmy" so I put in my professional orthotic and it tightened it sufficiently to make the boot feel like the right fit however my heel does pick up too much for my taste. Perhaps if I put on thicker socks? The calf fit with thin lycra pants on is perfect. I am not confident I will get my jeans in the boot. The zipper is a bit of a nightmare - very difficult to move in either direction but it does seem to improve with use. My calf shaft is 15 1/2" from the floor to behind my knee. This boot strikes the back of my thigh when I sit so when I ride I will definitely need a pad. However, the Alezan shaft is shorter than most other tall boots and doesn't interfere with the front of my knee so I plan to keep these boots. If your naked calf measures more than 14 1/2" you will not be happy with this boot.

Gorgeous boot but the calf was too small. I have ballerina calves so I would have to order the next size up to fit them. But this is still a beautiful boot, great quality.

Gorgeous boot but definitely not for those who have calves. I am 5'6 and could not bend my knee or zip. The zipper was incredibly difficult to slide and finally had to use pliers just to try it on. Recommend the Angel Peak Merrell if you are seeking a stylish, waterproof, comfortable boot.
