I bought these boots from another dealer but they are the most comfortable boot you can work in. I wear them for about 12 hours a day even when I'm not working. I've had them for over a year and I can't find one broken stitch. Oh yeah, all Chippewas have a refurbish plan with them so look into it, it's worth it.

Two months ago I had a brilliant idea to go to Zappos.com, after 3 different competitors miserably fitting boots left me with a numb foot and a bad disposition. From the first moment I tried them on in my living room, I knew this particular pair of Chippewa's were going to be perfect. I am on my feet all day as tech at an auto repair shop and do highly recommend this boot. Thank you Zappos.

I bought these in 9.5 and they fit perfect. I wear size 11 in new balance and nike sneakers. These boots are great and much easier to walk in then I thought they would be. These are quality boots for sure.

Chippewa boots are FANTASTIC, and these are no different...just be wary of the sizing on this particular style. My husband normally wears a 9.5, with an average width, but he needed to exchange them for the 10 WIDE. This style is QUITE narrow, especially when they are new. If you have a narrow foot, buy the "average" width; if you have an average-width foot, buy the "wide"(and if you have a wide foot, I'd say try a different style.) The boot does stretch a bit after a week or so, but if you are going to use these for winter work, you'll need that space for an extra pair of socks: these boots are NOT insulated. (We knew this when we bought them. My husband's last pair of Chippewas WERE insulated, but when Chippewa insulates something, boy do they insulate! His feet were so hot in the summer! He decided that it's easier for him to have cooler feet in the summer and add an extra pair of socks in the winter. Lol!) Hubby says these boots are VERY comfy, and the 2" heel is nice in case he steps on a nail. Note about Zappos exchange/return: They are very good about their returns, BUT the boots can NOT have been worn outside or used at ALL! Make sure they are what you want BEFORE you wear them outside, because they must be "re-sale ready" in order for them to accept the return!

Worst fitting boot I've ever tried on. So much slop in the heel. I can't imagine anyone wearing these and walking, let alone working.

Like any good boots the break-in period was a little rough but after that they were super comfortable. Ended up lasting me 5 years until I wore a hole in the leather (mostly my own fault for not oiling them often enough).

Having this boot for almost a year I can say it's built well,I do run a orthotic insole for better arch support .So thick socks is not an option unless you run a half size larger. Every six months I use mink oil on them and dry em with a hair dryer. I have yet to have any issues with them.

I picked these boots for some serious caving, but I love them so much they are rapidly becoming part of my regular wear. I take a woman's size 8.5 and ordered a men's seven, which is perfect with thick socks. No break-in to speak of; comfortable right out of the box. I love the way they look, but above all I love the way they feel.

I was looking for a good riding boot to wear with jeans. A sturdy boot is minimum safety for me if I don't like to wear a full Motorcycle boot. I tried a lot of different brands and styles. I really like Red Wing Shoes but the boots did not fit me. This boot feels good right out of the box. I usually wear size 12 with superfeet insoles on all my shoes and it works well with this boot. To test I ordered 11 1/2 wide and 12 regular to try. The size 12 fits me great in the toe box I could not see a difference in the wide version and the 11 1/2 may even be a bit longer. This boot is well made and the material is nice and thick. Worth the money, actually reasonably priced for that type of boot. I wore it all day straight out of the box.

Husband is an A/C Tech. On his feet a lot. Up and down ladders. Absolutely loves these boots. This is his second pair. Replaced Doc Martens that didn't hold up as well.

These have good construction. It takes a bit to break in, but that is only due to a quality product made in where it's made, not like that other stuff!

Awesome boots. If you are looking for a hard working and hard wearing boot, look no further. Boots are extremely durable and surprisingly comfortable. I am very pleased with the ruggedness of the boot. I don't see these wearing out anytime soon. This was my first pair of Chippewa boots and won't be my last. Great work boot.

If your feet are very wide just get a EE and a half size larger and you'll be fine. I'm an electrician and on my feet all day. These boots are very durable and last me about a year. Not a bad price for a quality product made in the USA.

Gave moderate blisters until broken in, even with wool hiking socks. Very comfortable after being broken in, but the sole began to separate from the upper portion almost immediately. By work week number two I had to exchange them for something else.
