Purchased the Kooba Jonnie handbag in gray and it was love at first sight. The side snaps do have a hard time staying together, but I can live with it. Biggest disappointment is I splurged on this bag only to later discover a tag on the inside that read "Made in China." So the overall rating suffered.

I bought this in the grey color, and it is gorgeous. The leather is soft and beautiful. It holds a lot, but doesn't seem too big. The outside pocket is very handy for keys and/or phone. The magnetic closure is strong, I don't feel like it is going to fall open. The straps are long enough so I can fit them over my shoulder easily, even over a puffy coat, but they don't seem too long. It is the most I've ever spent on a handbag, but it is totally worth it to me. This could be the perfect bag.

Love this bag!! It is just the right size for me. It sits easily on my shoulder. Wonderful leather on this bag, also. I purchased this bag in the lighter color. I would suggest putting a spray coating on this bag to protect the finish.

I am very happy that Kooba decided to bring back the Jonnie last year. Just to give you a perspective I own 10 Jonnies from deep plum,camel, black, mulberry, taupe, taupe with silver, navy Croc, earth, brown and now Croc chartreuse. It is beautiful. The leather is not stiff either.The only draw back is the side zippers on the kangaroo front pouch. They sometimes are hard to unzip or they unzip themselves slightly. As a side line, Zappos is a dream to buy from.

I purchased this bag in the Brown 1 color. When it arrived I discovered that the actual Brown 1 color is darker than the color pictured here. It is a matte, somewhat distressed looking chocolate brown. I needed a versatile handbag for travel with respect to color & size that could accommodate a tablet and other travel & purse items. I kept this handbag because the quality, style and size of this handbag were exactly what I was looking for. Finally, I considered that the distressed brown color of this handbag would probably look better longer as most of the wear & tear would just blend into the look of this handbag.

I have been a Kooba owner since 2006 when their classic leather bags were over the top. They had declined in quality a few years ago, especially sadly missed was their beautiful ultrasuede lining. I think they have made a comeback with respect to quality even though their lining is just run-of-the-mill cotton. Still, if you can get a Kooba on sale, it would be very much worth it. I bought a navy Johnnie a month ago, and it is a beautiful bag for the sale price. Would I buy a Kooba again? Most definitely "yes". I got exactly what I paid for and envisioned.

Very nice soft leather bag for spring/summer. Light grey color with light tan contrast straps. Will probably darken with time. However, I was looking for fall/winter colors. Will reorder later if still around. Also, a bag at this price should have a zipper, not a magnetic one snap closure. Living in a major city, you want a zipper. The same when going through airport or any security check point.

I purchased it in grey. It looks stunning and I thought I have finally found myself an everyday purse. But this is the second Kooba bag I have craftsmanship issues. I love their leather, their hardware and their style, but with several manufacturing defects purse is not worth this price. I returned it and moved on with different brand.

I bought this bag 3 months ago and am very disappointed with the quality. I debated spending this much but I wanted a large navy bag and the reviews were favorable. Pros: I like the style and it is a very roomy bag. Cons: The color is lighter than shown and not what I would call a true navy. The straps have "discolored" in that it looks like the color is coming off and the lining has split. The bag is really poor quality and not what I would expect for a expensive bag.

I purchased this bag 2 years ago and if you were to look at it now you would think I had it for 10 years. The quality of this bag is crap. For starters, after several months the leather started to discolor. I have the taupe color and the front is turning grey. The straps are cracked and also discolored. Inside, there was a hook and clasp for keys. It tore off after one year of use. I pretty much used this bag from my house, to the car, and from my car to the office and back again. I have other luxury bags that cost less and that I've had longer that look great. This bag was also made in China as another reviewer noted. I would never purchase another Kooba bag again based on my experience. For what I paid, I had higher expectations on the quality of this handbag.

This bag is absolutely beautiful and so soft! I own the Kooba Tab Wallet and hoped this bag wouldn't let me down. I bought them in tropical blue and I have to tell you - they aren't blue. More of a soft blueish purple but totally lovely. If you can splurge, do it!

I own five Jonnie purses and they are all beautiful. The design of this bag really works for me. It's roomy without being excessive. I love the roo pocket for the things I need easy access to. Definitely an investment but well worth it to me.

I bought the Jonnie with Studs in Blanco (which Zappos doesn't have anymore, but it's the same bag as this one that Zappos carries, just with added studs). I wanted to review it here since I know so many of us check Zappos reviews. The Jonnie is a GREAT handbag! I am a big Coach fan, but I may have found my new HG brand! The leather feels like butter. The style is fabulous (classy and fun and a little funky all at once). I can wear it when I'm dressed up for work or when I'm dressed down for kids ball games, etc. The interior is well organized AND has a key clip! Yay! The front pocket is great. You can slide your keys or phone or other small items into it without unzipping it, or you can unzip the sides for greater access. This bag is the right amount of slouchy without being droopy. It's easy to get into and find your things. I'm afraid I may have to get this bag in another color, also. :) Luv it!

I love this bag! I'm absolutely in love with the feel of the leather, how well it weathers water, and the color is what grabbed me in the first place. The straps are a little too short to wear this as a shoulder bag with comfort, but that hasn't stopped me. It is huge! It would probably hold three of my standard shoulder bags. I don't carry a lot most of the time, but it's held everything I've asked it to, including books, notebooks, and a large bottle of Pellegrino. Other than the straps, I'm happy as a clam.

Nice roomy handbag for those who carry a lot of items...I have a handbag organizer, so I can see just about EVERYTHING! Nice quality leather bag.

Love this bag! The leather is so soft and beautiful. It is perfect size for my needs, to be able to put my iPad in it along with all my other must haves. Front pocket is great for cell phone, keys, and lip stick. I have happy with this purchase!

I have never bought a handbag so expensive as this one but I love it. The color is gorgeous with space enough for everything but the kitchen sink. It goes with just about everything except red. The zippers stick a bit but a little soap took care of that. Definitely a winner!

I just received my bag and I am in love. I have been waiting to find Jonnie bag in light grey forever and I was so happy to see it on Zappos (finally) and was able to snatch the only one in stock. The Jonnie bag is a great size, great style with high quality leather. I recommend this bag to all Kooba lovers. Thank you Zappos!

This is my second review of this bag. I felt that I had to mention my total satisfaction with this bag just one more time, as I just received my second Johnnie in the mail today. This time, the color is Ginger, and it is exactly the color as pictured. I got it at a ridiculous sale price, paid no shipping, and it was delivered by Zappos the very next day! How can you say anything bad about that? I truly believe that Kooba is getting better and better.

I bought this purse for my Sister (as a Christmas present) she loved it. It was so soft, she just loves to throw things in her bag and go, so it was also so accommodating for her. She said she had never had a better bag that fits all her things before. She used to fumble in her purse - now she finds everything easily.

I stalked this bag on various websites, including auction sites, for weeks but couldn't find it for under my budget (it retails for more). When I found that the Zappos had dropped to half the retail, I snapped it up. I couldn't be happier with it! The leather is soft, the bag is huge and roomy without looking like a duffel bag, and the straps fit snugly on my shoulder. My only complaint is that the stock photo--which I've viewed on several different devices--is consistently a little brighter and more teal (= has more green in it) than the actual bag. I still love it, but I would be thrilled if the color were just a little brighter. This is my second Kooba bag. I purchased the first 2.5 years ago, and it was the best purse I've ever had. It only just started showing signs of wear, and I will still use it periodically. Zappos wins again: besides offering the best price, they shipped it free overnight with my VIP status. Made my day to get it so quickly!

Love this bag! Perfect size, color true to photo, soft soft leather. Would definitely recommend, and will buy in more colors for sure!
