Size of bag and length of handles and strap are great. Leather quality not so much. It's thin, flimsy, and doesn't match the price point.

I own two of the Frans and one of the larger version, Francesca. I love all three of them and wear them almost daily. I use it while out shopping, brunch, to the gym, daily for school to carry all my books & notebooks. They are extremely sturdy, roomy, durable, with no signs of wear and tear, fading of the leather quality or color after continuous, daily use. And keep in mind, the quality remains superb even though I am very rough with my purses. I throw them around, overload them, etc. The Frans are my second & third Marc Jacobs bags, I love them. Onto purchasing my sixth one.

I got this bag a week ago and absolutely love it. Great size and great quality. A staple bag that everyone needs as part of their wardrobe!

This is the best everyday bag that I could find. I had been eying the larger version for a while, but I am so glad that I never purchased it. This smaller version fits everything without making it look overly bulky. The only downfall is that the bag itself is pretty heavy, so when all your stuff is inside, it becomes even heavier. I hope that the rolled handles do not crack and that there is no color transfer or fade as some reviewers have mentioned from other MBMJ bags. I have two other MJ bags, and I noticed that this one is a little more cheaply made. The leather is still gorgeous, but just different from my other ones that were bought a few years back. Also, the inside used to be canvas, but the newer bags now are more plastic-y material-like umbrella material. Other than that, I truly love this bag! It's perfect for an everyday, classy, but yet casual look. I am giving it four stars due to the fact that it is heavy and hurts my shoulders a bit.

I have been looking at this bag for months and months. Seriously, I think the girls at Nordstrom started getting creeped out with me coming in once every three weeks to look at the bag and try it on and compare the colors. I rationalized that I would have this purse for a really long time and thus far it has definitely been worth the money! The color Cement is a great everyday, neutral color - it's darker than in these pictures, however. I love the gold hardware and it's so spacious. Just a beautiful bag. It can easily fit all the necessary items, along with a book. I love that you can wear this bag three ways - on your shoulder, with the long strap and on your arm. Yes, the bag will get heavy with more stuff in it, like any bag would. I absolutely love MBMJ bags - they're quality bags and after experimenting with a MBMJ Percy, I fell in love with the pebbled leather and how classy and durable it is. The bag itself is very slouchy and flexible. Yes, it's a pricey bag, but no regrets here! I can not say enough about how excellent Zappos service is! I ordered this bag on two day shipping the week of 4th of July, totally spacing the holiday and that deliveries would be delayed. Unfortunately, the shipping time would have turned into 5 day shipping, although I paid extra. Although the package was already in transition, I called Zappos and they shipped out another with overnight shipping and didn't charge me for the 2 day or overnight shipping. There was a fumble at the post office and I accidentally received both of the purses, but I'm a huge believer in karma and called Zappos to return it - after all I was so appreciative of them helping me out. They thanked me and gave me a coupon to use on my next purchase! Zappos truly knows how to make their customers feel like they matter and truly overextend themselves. I've always believed that Nordstrom had the best service, but I'm so happy I started coming to Zappos!

I love Marc by Marc Jacobs' bags but I think that the quality has diminished significantly through out the years. The leather - although of still good quality - is a lot thinner from the previous bags they produced. I like the shape, style and color but would rather they used the old leather from the previous collections.

I have been looking for a black bag with gold hardware for everyday use, and this bag fits the bill. I love how versatile the carrying options are; it can be handheld, carried in the crook of the arm, slung over the shoulder with either the rolled handles or shoulder strap, or worn crossbody. The only thing is that the bag is already quite heavy, so once I load it up even with just a few essentials, it gets even heavier. I've gotten used to it though and it doesn't feel as heavy when worn over my coats.

I'm a bit of a bag snob. Not in the sense that it has to be name brand, but it has to be perfect. It needs the right amount of inner pockets and comfortable way to be carried. I need it to hold all my stuff and have some extra room for when I buy little things at the store. I've spent the last year looking for that bag after I had to replace my Michael Kors Large Bedford Hobo. I simply loved that bag, but when I lost it, I didn't have the money to replace it. This bag has been amazing. I love it. It's so soft. It has two great ways to carry it. It has the right compartments. There aren't enough words for why I love it.

Just received my Classic Q Fran. I can't even explain the excitement I've had finally being able to purchase this bag. I've had my eye on it for over a year, read so many reviews and finally took the plunge on purchasing it right here on Zappos. I haven't ordered from Zappos in a while and was pleasantly surprised and pleased that my bag came the next day! How awesome is that? I'm going to enjoy this bag and will continue to read reviews on a few more that I have my eye on. Overall, this bag is gorgeous, sturdy and the pebbled leather is so soft. My first MBMJ bag was the Percy and it has come a long way. I definitely recommend these purses hands down. Although, I was a little surprised that this did not come with a dust bag.

I cannot say enough good this about this bag. This is my first Marc Jacobs and it will not be my last! I was looking for an everyday bag that would fit my ipad and everything else I needed for work. The only complaint is I wish there were more pockets on the inside. The leather is great, color is great and the quality is great. One reviewer did mention the inside feeling plastic like. I agree its not the greatest quality, but its bad.

I have this bag in pantsy purple and smoked almond. They are really nice bags. Oddly enough however, the one in purple is a much softer, buttery leather. The almond color is a little rigid. The bags are the perfect size and highly versatile. I am very happy and receive many compliments on both!

I'm obsessed with this bag! So soft and comfortable. Love that you can carry it two different ways. It's the perfect size for me. Not too big not too small.

Gorgeous bag. I bought it in the Oyster color that is on sale. Was eyeing this bag in a different color at full price and when I found it here for a lot less I was ecstatic...then I discovered no tax too! (This makes me so happy because Chicago sales tax eats me alive!) I wasn't sure about the color, but I am quite pleased with it. It's like a very light gray and will look really nice with everything for spring/summer. The leather quality is great (not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about!). It stays on the shoulder with the double straps and is just the right size for my body frame (I'm 5'6"). Nice hardware, too! Thank you, Zappos...you've consistently been one of my favorite online retailers!

Am very satisfied with my bag. The leather is perfect for me. It's robust enough to withstand getting beaten up, yet the purse is elegant enough to be suitable when dressed up. The interior is well done: 2 small side pockets for cells, etc. and one zip-up pocket. The bag looks good in the crook of the arm, as well as on the shoulder, and the shape still looks good when using the longer strap to hang it across the body. Only downside: it's a bit heavy even when empty due to the robust leather, thick shorter straps and the metal bits.

I am very picky when it comes to handbags. This bag has excellent quality and amazing leather and looks beautiful. It is timeless and just classic! it is big enough to carry a lot of stuff including a laptop. The only problem I have is that it's heavy. Make sure you try on before buying it. The handles can be carried on the shoulders but they slip off sometimes so I use the strap which works great. Also, as mentioned before there's no big compartments inside the bag. For the quality and the look, I think it's worth the price.

Great bag overall. I would change that it doesn't have any pegs/studs on the bottom to help it stand and that it doesn't have a zipper. It also gets extremely heavy if you carry it too long with too much inside. Luckily, the longer strap does help when that happens. The quality is good and it's a beautiful bag. I love the gold accents. I say buy if you want a weekend bag to carry around.

Love the leather, the look, and the way it sits. I can fit all my child's stuff and my things in it, but the inner zipped compartment is too small for my continental style wallet! Such a bummer. I would keep it if the inner pocket fit my wallet (which is the typical 7" in length). Been looking for a bag this size forever.

Not crazy about this bag. Got the jet blue, which is quite dark, but can work with jeans. However, the leather is not great, and the style, though popular with others, doesn't quite grab me. It's going back and I'm trying a Kate Spade multi with navy blue instead.

We bought this bag a few weeks ago and loved it. The leather was soft and smooth. We ordered a second one just like it and were so disappointed. the leather was rough and pebbly - looked like elephant skin. Just so surprised at the inconsistency. We are returning the second bag.
