While waiting for a rental car a bag fell over into our three year old Tumi Vapor and the handle bent when it fell against a pole. We needed to replace it fast so I decided to buy my dream luggage. I bought my husband a carry-on Rimowa four years ago. He flies excessively all around the world with it and it is still in great condition. I considered buying another Tumi, but the company's customer service is not what it used to be. So I spent a lot of money to get this bag. It is a gorgeous piece of luggage and extremely large. I am 6' tall and I can walk with it next to me in heels without extending the handle. I wanted one piece to take everywhere, but it might not always be full considering the size so the compression separators are great. I put clothes in both sides, compress and then put boots and shoes on top. I did get some Eagle Creek Square inserts for underwear and socks as they got lost in the vastness of the luggage. If I could do it again I might get one size down as this is really big, but my husband is Gold Status on United so our weight limit is 70 pounds not 50 pounds. The look is pure class. I especially liked the color of this model and it does not disappoint in person. Best wheel movement I've ever experienced, glides over thick carpets. The clasps are a million times better than the zipper closures which we have on our Tumis and my husband's Rimowa I have not flown with it yet as our return flight was cancelled and we drove 1,300 miles home, but will fly this weekend and the week after. I am greatly looking forward to using my marvelous piece of luggage for a very very long time.

Almost 9 months of traveling and I can pass these comments on without a problem. Cosmetically, it looks 9 months old with scratches and dents on the aluminum corners, etc. On that note, it does appear to scratch easy. I'm an american expat that works and lives in Madrid Spain which requires extensive travel so the suitcase has been thoroughly tested. On every other level, durability, ease of use, and overall basic functioning, etc., its been great. I still give it 5 Stars all around.

I bought this as I am a Madrid Spain Expat traveling with my company to all points on the globe. This thing has the scar marks to prove it. Thank God they reinforced the corners with the aluminum plates, that is where the bag really gets it. Other than the typical dings, it has held up quite well. The wheels are all intact, the TSA locks are a plus and the light weight above all is the best quality to me. I get stares all the time going through Barajas Airport. I think I wil treat myself to one more by Christmas as my old faithful canvas Samsonite bag is on its last leg.
I'd also recommend:
