Finally found the original clog that I loved from years ago when Dansko and Sanita were merged. When comparing Dansko and Sanita, the photos look the same and many of the reviews are similar. Hard to tell a difference. I have had quite a few pairs of Danskos since they parted with Sanita and they were never quite right, although I like them. But - Sanita is much better for me! So happy. I have bunions and now plantar fasciitis so the right shoe is imperative. This clog is actually attractive! Its not as clunky as a Dansko, a little lighter weight, more flex and more comfortable. I have a very wide foot and the regular width is fine. The leather is soft enough that it will form to my foot over time. The upper is softer than Dansko so very good for bunions. They actually look good with my skinny jeans. And really, when you wear a size 11 (42) you don't really like clogs with skinny jeans. Not a great look. The mule style also helps with the look. My husband even commented. So I'm thrilled. From now on, it's Sanita for me.

What's not to like? These Sanita's are super comfortable, and the pebbled leather is a nice update. I prefer Sanita's to Danskos as I feel they are not as stiff, and they are my go-to casual shoes.

Great shoe! Like the other reviewer, I had to order up. I am a 37, but in these shoes I had to go up to a 38. They are short in length. (I also have Danskos, which fit fine in a 37.)

I love me some Sanita shoes and these are as well made and supportive as any other. I swear my feet were born for Sanita foot beds. I just didn’t understand the color of the antique brown.. It’s much lighter than the photos. The photos look like a rich dark chocolate brown. IRL they are light brown mud color. I’ll still probably keep them. But I wish they were dark velvety like is shown…

Looks beautiful, but too heavy a shoe for me. Also runs 1/2 to 1 size short in length, my heel was at back edge almost hanging over in my regular size. Would look really nice with jeans if you can get a good fit and like a heavy, sturdy clog.

I received these today and Oh. My. Gosh. They are perfect. So comfortable the moment I stepped into them. These replaced the Dansko Professionals, which didn't feel nearly as perfect. I had to order up a size from my normal "Dansko" size (36). I wear a 6 and had to order a 37. Great arch; they just feel right.

Just what I needed! One of my heels has been bothering me from too much distance walking on pavement and the only shoes in my closet that have felt good to wear lately, even better than tennis shoes, were some old (from at least 7 years ago) Sanita's clogs, basically the same style as this but with a closed back. I decided to try this open-back style. They feel great and are much lighter than the old pair of standard clogs. These also have a little bit of cushion at the ball of my foot which is nice. Both pairs are size 39, but if these had a back I would say they would be too small for me, so maybe the sizing has changed over the years. I am consistently an 8 in regular shoes and 8.5 in athletic shoes, and 39s in this are perfect for me. I think these are great for my current 'WFH' lifestyle. I prefer plain oiled leather to a shiny or print material and wasn't sure what textured leather would be like, but I don't even notice it. These are great for me and I am so happy I found something to wear while my heel (hopefully) heals.

Great if you are on your feet a lot. My orthopedic surgeon said they are good for my achilles tendonitis and minor plantar fascitis and I have definitely noticed a decrease in pain since wearing these. AND, they are super cute. If you like these, you might also like the Sanita Ellis which is also an open backed clog, but with a beige heel so it looks a more summery. I wore Sanitas and Danskos for years when my kids were small and I'm glad I rediscovered them!

This clog is very comfortable, casual and good looking. I have feet problems and this shoe has helped tremendously. I live in South Florida and would love to see summer options by Sanita.

Disappointed that the shoes received to not match the photo on Zappos. I bought these to replace a pair of Sanita Sonja Oil Clogs that were 8 years old. That model had the smooth leather insole that was stitched as featured in the photo. However, the clogs received had a suede type insole with no stitching and there appears to be more padding under the insole. The problem with this apparent product change is that the sueded/padded insole adds height that causes the shoe to fit tighter and it also causes my feet to be hotter and sweat more. I was very disappointed with this change and the fact that the photo misrepresents the actual product.

I normally wear the Dansko version of this Sanita mule and thought I'd check out the Sanita version, since reviewers have described it as made of a softer, sueded leather. I ordered a 39 (the size I wear in Dansko) and a 40, since some reviewers recommended ordering a size up. Here's my result: The Sanita 39 was noticeably smaller than the Dansko 39 - my heel hung a bit off the back. But the Sanita 39 was wider than the Dansko 39, and the added width did feel more comfortable (if only my heels weren't hanging off the back!). Now for the twist...The Sanita 40 was considerably bigger than the 39, to the extent that my heel was much too far forward, and with the wider width of the Sanitas, my foot had far too much real estate - I'd be constantly slipping and falling out of the Sanita 40, especially as the softer material stretches with wearing. So...back to my Dansko 39s! The material is stiffer and less forgiving, but at least I won't break an ankle. (And the shoes will last longer as well). One other note...the Sanita Sonja Oil as pictured is a dark brown. The shoe as received was a much lighter color with a lot of orange in it. If you're looking for a dark brown shoe, this won't work for you. If you like a lighter brown, (not quite tan, but close), it could work.

I only bought this new pair of Sanita clogs when my old pair of almost daily use over the past 11 years started unsticking from the heel...you can't imagine the hard labor these clogs went through! I expect nothing less from this new pair and have been using them daily since they arrived from Zappos. And that Zappos...what exceptional customer service! My old clogs were a half size smaller but had fit perfectly over time due to that hard labor that I mentioned before...I called Zappos immediately upon trying on the new pair and discovering it was too short and not quite comfortable so I ordered the right size fully expecting I would now have to send this pair back and wait for the new pair to arrive (unless I wanted to have my card charged again). Well, not only did they not do this, not charge my account again, they expressed understanding and advised that the replacement pair would be shipped out immediately so that I would not have to wait! I had not purchased from Zappos before but it will certainly not be the last time...finally a vendor who gets it! Thanks Zappos!

These are really nice clogs; very comfy and good quality. I have a super narrow foot (AA) and they are loose on my unless I wear fairly thick socks, which is fine as they are winter shoes.. I usually wear and 8 to 8.5 depending on style and brand of shoe. These clogs run a little short. The 9 was perfect length!

These shoes were comfy right from the get-go! Love the dark color and roomy toe box. The size is perfect as well. These shoes also don't stain the soles of your feet like some other clogs can-no dye bleeding onto skin. I will buy another pair in a funky fun color soon.

Apparently, Dansko shoes do not work with my feet. I purchased my regular size, which was very tight. So, I bought the largest size available. It fit but, it was still tight and, because it was so hard, I didn't have much hope of breaking it in. I almost gave up hope but, decided to read the reviews (thank goodness for them). Someone recommended the Sanita because it's softer. Since there was only one left in the largest size, I hurried up and ordered it. I just received my order and it is softer and feels so much better than the hard, unbendable, Dansko shoe! It's the afternoon in my neck of the woods so my feet are a little swollen but they fit and are not tight like the Dansko. I can at least wear trouser socks or tights with the Sanita's and, since they are softer, I'm sure I can break them in a little more to wear thicker socks. Whoever recommended Sanita's...THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I FINALLY HAVE SHOES FOR AUTUMN/WINTER! :-)

I'm very disappointed with these shoes. I really expected to love them. They look cute and stylish, (I love the clog look and fit in general, and have been wearing clogs for 40 years), but on closer inspection, the top rim of this shoe is cut in a square-ish way so that the top covers more foot and ends closer to the leg, and that extra coverage is too tight, and doesn't look right either. Being a black shoe, I didn't notice that in the photo before purchase. After wearing all day (with light walking 1 block to and from train station, and around the office a little, where I sit at a desk most of the day), the tops of my feet were red and sore. Another big problem with these shoes is that there is dye inside the shoe, and you won't notice till you wear them, and find that your socks have been ruined. After only 1 day of wear, to my horror, the socks I wore, one of my favorite pairs of textured knitted socks, were black at the foot end. The dye from the inside of the shoe bled into the socks, and this dye does not come off. This means these shoes can only be worn with very dark colored socks. Why is there dye on the inside of the shoes anyway? Cheap Payless shoes occasionally have dye problems like this, but these are priced as high quality shoes. Dansko clogs do not have dye problems, and Dansko clogs fit better too, and do not have the square, excessively high shoe opening. Dansko and Sanita clogs are very similar looking and in price, but different in shape and fit, and dye. My advice is to go with Dansko clogs, and stay away from Sanita. I sure will in the future.

These are great for work. I’m in the medical field and on my feet all shift. Have had problems with plantar fasciitis (PF) in the past and these have helped tremendously due to great arch support. I did have to switch between these and sneakers during a PF flare up. But since have only worn these and have not had any flare ups. Also, these provide toe protection, unlike sneakers

I love these, but the sizing is a bit smaller than that of Dansko. I had to return my 36 to a 37 so I can wear them with socks in colder weather. It is a bit roomy without socks but very comfortable and not an issue. They are light and when they arrived I immediately put them on and wore them around the house because they were just SO comfy. Sidenote: the brown pair was much lighter in color than depicted in the photo, but I just went over them with leather oil and now they are absolutely perfect for me. (Completly personal preference)

These shoes are amazing. I have trouble with sizing--always between. This time I went for the larger size because I just returned a pair of clogs (by Softwalk) that felt much too small in one size down. If I'm honest, these could be slightly smaller and still fit fine--but they are so comfortable! The right amount of give and enough arch support. I prefer these to my everyday Dansko's that I've worn for years.

Sanita makes incredibly comfortable clogs. Light weight, supple yet sturdy at the same time. I wear these barefoot in the summer and with socks in the winter. Easy to dress up or down -- wearable with skirts, shorts and jeans. Purchased two of same colors by mistake so sending this one pair back. Thanks, Zappos!
