Let me tell you about the fit. They run wide, not long. Unlike my feet. On previous reviewer's recommendation, I ordered a size 6, in black, instead of my usual 7. Too short. Today its replacement, (black not available) size 7 Berry Zebra, arrived. It is very wide but a true size 7 in length. Now let's talk color. Berry is not the pinkish red shown in the photo, but mauve. Smoky pale magenta. The fabric is not as fleecy as the black, and probably the tan, but some slightly napped inexpensive synthetic covering. I don't care one bit! Now to function. My back hurts less. My shoulders even hurt less. My hips and, most notably, sacroiliac, hurt less when I walk. I don't mind that I look like a stick figure with upholstered duck feet. If anyone complains, I will redirect them to my strikingly improved mood. Now to plans. When wonderful Zappos and I figure out which of the Orthaheel sandals I have on order will fit, all other usable sandals (e.g., Birks, Naots) will be donated to the homeless shelter. I look forward to actually being able to take walks again. Deo gratias.

I saw these in open toed on the shopping network for the same price (and that was their special). I got online to Zappos to see if they had them and they did, and even closed toed. Knowing the excellent customer service that Zappos has and always quick shipping, I ordered from them. I finally broke in the slippers, they have a very firm inner support, so don't expect plush. But my feet use to hurt bare foot or in my other slippers on our hard floors walking around doing chores on my days off. I put these on and after getting use to them I notice a huge difference in how I feel. I don't have the pain I use too. Also the outer sole is nice in case I have to step outside. No fuzzy close to the ground to get dirty. Personally i love the product and as always Zappos has the best customer service that I have ever came across and I even work in customer service.

I've never been the slipper-wearing type, but my plantar fasciitis has been flaring up and I've heard having supportive shoes on at home can help. So began my quest for the perfect slipper with two big Zappos orders full of options. These Gemma's were the winner! I like the non-slip soles, I like how easy they are to slip on, I love the hard arch support, and I love how cozy they are (though they're a little warm for summer). I have very wide feet and generally will go up a size or two in length just to get the width I need, but these fit great at my regular size in the medium width. They have stretched out a bit and I'm grateful that there's velcro to tighten. The velcro does allow you to customize the fit quite a bit but I suspect that folks with narrow feet won't be able to keep these on even with that adjustment. Having hard support is the most important thing to me. Soft, cushy soles make plantar fasciitis worse. Despite the good arch support, the fuzzy lining means that I love slipping these on as soon as I swing my legs out of bed. They've done a good job at alleviating foot pain, though it hasn't been curative, so don't expect any miracles. As far as wear goes: I've only worn them inside, but I've had them on nearly nonstop since I work from home and so far they look fresh out of the box. I don't expect them to last more than a year though because of how soft the lining is — I imagine I'll wear through it. This is based on my larger body size and how much I wear them during the day, your mileage may vary if you weigh less and wear them less often than I do! The only downside to me is that these are not fashionable at all, but I'm only wearing them in the house and my vanity can handle that just fine. They're not hideous by any means but they're quite plain. I appreciate that they come in all black so they don't look very dirty, but they do pick up lint and dog hair, as you can see by my picture!

My podiatrist recommended Orthaheel slippers as I was diagnosed with plantar fasciiitis. Once I put them on, I threw out every pair of slippers I owned! Since then, I have ordered Orthaheel sandals and clogs. The only time I wear anything else on my feet, I replace the insoles with Powerstep insoles (sold at Zappos and from my podiatrist). I have done the exercises twice daily as prescribed by the podiatrist and have alternated between my Orthaheel slippers, sandals and clogs. Amazing...after six weeks, no more plantar fasciitis. I ordered the Dr.Andrew Weil sandals and clogs. They are both stylish and comfortable.

I bought these slippers because I needed something with support to wear around the house. I have a pair of Vionic sandals that I love, so I thought I would give these a try. I got these at the end of May. I like the way they feel. My complaint is that they didn't last long. It's only been 3 months and the inside heel already has big holes in it. The fabric wore out completely. The picture shows the heel after 3 months of wearing in the morning and the evening. I really thought they should have lasted longer. This is from normal wear, nothing excessive.

Excellent arch support, nice heel cup, great style, cute pattern! I typically wear a size 9 and based on other Orthaheel slipper reviews I ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly!

These are my fifth pair of Vionic slippers. I wear them in the house all day and even in the yard sometimes. The arch support is great for my flat feet. I wash them in the washing machine and air dry.

Arch support in this slipper is so hard it pushes your foot off to the side when you walk. I can't wear them.

Heaven in a slipper...I have been searching for a slipper that provided sufficient arch support and comfort out of the box. This is a winner on both counts. Keeps my feet toasty, and is the best slipper I have ever worn.

I just received my third pair of these slippers. I have been wearing them daily for several years. I have plantar fasciitis, and a heel spur. I have extremely high arches. I cannot walk barefoot, and I have to wear custom orthotics in my shoes. While at home, I live in these slippers. They have a very soft finish, and a very durable sole. Highly recommend them.

Good quality, comfortable slippers with a sturdy sole that allows me to dash outside in them. I wear a size 7.5 so I followed the instructions and sized down to a 7. They fit perfectly. They're also adjustable over the top of the foot. Also this was my first Zappos purchase and I was very happy with the service and the free shipping. I'll be back!

These slippers are awesome and will give your feet the TLC they deserve! I bought these slippers because my feet have been hurting like crazy working from home. For the past two months, I've been walking around on my hard floors either barefoot or in old, flat slippers. My feet ached like crazy stepping out of bed every morning and I am young! I ended up with plantar fascitis and knew I had to change something. I came across these slippers and saw some good reviews. Even a few like "these house shoes cured my plantar fascitis!" I was skeptical but hopeful. Needless to say, my feet felt SO much better just after a day wearing them. THEY ACTUALLY WORK! Highly recommend for anyone with foot issues like myself. Sturdy, comfy, supportive!

I have plantar fasciitis and needed a slipper with support. This slipper has good arch support, is comfortable, and roomy. I may purchase another pair in one of the fun colors. I love this slipper!

I need to wear these in my house (and sometimes for quick kid dropoffs/pickups in the car) for support. They are definitely roomy & I usually wear with socks. In the summer I wear the open toe Orthaheel slipper.

I was looking for house slippers for winter that would give some support. I have plantar fasciitis, so I needed something supportive, but I didn't want them to look super orthopedic! These are both cute and supportive. The only downside is that they do get a bit sweaty if you're doing a lot of housework in them.

I was having both foot and leg pain from being in my slippers all day most days while we SIP. My daughter lent me her Vionic slippers and by the next day I ordered a pair for myself. What a difference! I really like that they can be adjusted for a skinny or chunkier foot. Best purchase I’ve made during the pandemic.

VERY comfortable! great arch support. Just a little heavy/boxy/clunky. Also the leopard print is very nice and vibrant, but even brand new, the edges of the pattern look a bit worn (you may be able to see that in the picture). I would think that over time it would quickly look worn out. This is probably a minor concern overall though.

I bought these based on a Zappo's service rep's referral for slippers with arch support and I'm thrilled! Thanks, Zappo! I needed arch support in a slipper and these are excellent. There is room to wiggle my toes, but they stay on well. (Although it did take me a night or two to adapt.) The terry is warm and the fabric is soft. They aren't those soft, cushy-bottom slippers most people are used to because of the excellent support. If you're not used to good arch support, I can see they might feel a bit hard. But, for feet health, these are superb.

After having foot surgery I needed to wear slippers with support at home. After trying several pairs these were by far the most comfortable. I would buy these again.

I like wearing these slippers in the house but I find them a tripping hazard. I have fallen three times (and I am not clumsy)because the slipper catches on carpet etc. and sends me flying! Be very careful.

The first thing I did when I took these out of the box was push on the slipper to see how padded they are and I was very disappointed because I thought they would be softer. Then I put them on and literally stopped complaining mid-syllable. These slippers feel so great on my feet. No, they're not cloud soft, but it doesn't matter. The arch support and heel support makes all the difference in the world. I wore these all day without a hint of pain or discomfort in my heel or anywhere else. I will definitely be looking at Vionic for my next pair of shoes, because imagine what those would be like, considering what they did with slippers.

size, fit great! been wearing Tides for years but now need slipper with arch support (hip surgery last year). I've been wearing 10 min AWESOME!.. I'm used to the vionics so no break in with the arch support. Just wish they were washable. I'll just use powder and EO sprays; but feet sweat.

I love this brand Vionic, I have slippers, sandals, and sneakers. This style Gemma is replacing a much older pair. Love that even with high arches, PF, and heel spurs I can still have cute shoes.
