Great shoe! I have 4 pairs of Finns and I always look forward to putting them on. I wore bad shoes for years and my feet paid the price. You can tell as soon as you put a pair of Finn Comforts on that they are quality. Worth the price!

These are lovely shoes, purchased for my husband to wear on a walking-intensive vacation this summer. We are both in our mid-40s and I was afraid these shoes might look, well, elderly. They do not. They look like upscale Chuck Taylors! The leather is fine, the soles are more like hiking boots than orthopedic shoes and the support is, reportedly, extraordinary. I thought I would have to talk MDH into wearing them, but he really loves them!

These shoes are certainly cute, a bit in a geriatric way, but cute nonetheless. Despite a nice firm footbed, there is practically no arch support for a pronator and there is very little cushioning. My hopes for multipurpose walking / occasional gym / jog use disappeared once I tried them. I had to return these.

I loved these shoes - but I had to return them because the insoles don't have enough padding for my aging feet. Now that the natural padding of my feet has diminished, I need the help of more cushioning. If you have a cushioned orthotic, by all means get them - the style is totally cool.

I really liked the styling and support, but the soles are thin and my feet need more protection when walking on hard surfaces. I'm returning them, for this much money I don't want sore feet.

I love these shoes, I find the foot bed shape really comfortable, they don't have a fairly flat contour like most shoes. I can wear these at my clinic office all day walking around the building and wear them home and my first inclination is not to take them off as soon as I get home that is how comfortable they are. They look nice too and a few people have asked me what kind of shoes they are. I think they look classy yet casual and they don't look like old geezer shoes either.

I wasn't too sure about these for the first couple of days because of the high arch support, but I sure love them now! It's a great casual shoe that I wear to work, but comfortable enough to wear on long walks. The workmanship is great!

I purchased these Alamos last year and during normal daily wear the soles began to unglue from the shoe after two months. I currently have both shoes held together with tons of Shoo-Goo as the soles continue to completely fall off around the toe sections back to about the midway area of the shoes. I contacted Finn Comfort customer service and explained the issue only to be told that they would be happy to repair them at NuShoe. I feel that these glued-on soles are a design flaw and noticed that Finn Comfort realized this themselves and introduced the same model shoe with the exception of a stitched sole; the Nantes. I would not recommend the Alamos due to poor construction. If you really like the style go with the Nantes instead. Or better yet, my new favorite shoes are Mephisto. I have purchased five pairs of Finn Comfort shoes over the past ten years with the Alamo being the first failed pair. After this slap in the face by Finn Comfort customer service I will not purchase any more of their shoes and instead invest my money in Shoo-Goo to maintain them. It is disheartening to invest so much in shoes that fall apart in a couple of months; I can get that at Wal-Mart. Please look into Mephisto shoes as they are truly well built. They are a bit heavier than Finn Comfort, but you get quality, and support that easily surpasses the Finn Comfort. When you examine Mephistos in your hand you will notice the high quality pretty quickly. I can still remember the first time I tried them on, stood up, and began to walk at how amazingly comfortable these shoes are. It is your money. Invest it wisely. I guess it is pretty easy for me to say for myself and to others, so long Finn Comfort.

Bought these shoes Jan 2015, wear shoe to work only, I am a dentist so basically I am wearing these shoes to the office. 8 months later I notice both soles are coming off not just a little but debonding from the shoe in a large are about 1/4 of the surface of the shoe. These are the most expensive shoes I have ever bought and they are falling apart like they were bought at the dollar store. They are also the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, can wear all day long and when I get home my first inclination to relax doesn't involve taking off the shoes because they are so comfortable. The footbed is very different and very comfortable.

I got these shoes as a gift for my husband. He loved them right out of the box. No breaking in required.

This is my second pair of Alamos. I'm not a guy but I have long feet and need a decent shoe to hold me up. These shows have great arch support, but not as high as Halvorsen and a good narrow heel. Plenty of toe room. I love them.

These are outstanding shoes! Light, comfortable, and very well made. Outstanding quality and fit. Yes they are expensive but they will last for years. You will not go wrong with Finn Comfort.

If you're buying solely for style...well, these ain't no Chuck Taylors. They have a bit of the "eat your vegetables" vibe to them. But, vegetables are good for you and these shoes feel really great. And the style really isn't bad. It's my first pair of Finn Comforts and I believe I'm hooked: life's too short for sore feet.

Solid shoes mine are slightly large but comfortable. This is real leather and built to last. It's pricey but the quality is impeccable and you will have this shoe 10years if worn for casual purposes. Outsole is great but insole should be swapped out unless your like exaggerated sole support and they are stiff so be patient with break in period.

These shoes are very well made and very comfortable. That said, they are absolutely huge Frankenshoes, at least twice the size/bulk of the Converse they resemble. They could be considered stylish, but the utter hugeness detracts from that aspect.

Loved the shoe. It was a full size too large.
