These are the originals, and are still the best! Living in Hawaii for 7 years, had lots of need for sandals (slippers, we called them, over there). I tried many brands (Reefs, Locals, Patagonia) and ended up sticking with Scotts. They're great for the city (we're in New York now), as well as the beach. Years ago, I worked as a hiking guide in Hawaii and in addition to my daily life around town, I used these for all but the roughest of trails at work (Though I don't recommend an opened-toed shoe on the trails for a non-pro). The durability and comfort of Scott's is unmatched. They weigh a bit more than a comparable pair of Reefs, but they last dramatically longer per pair. (2-3 years for me, under heavy year-round use.) Having recently ordered a pair of each, I just learned that the difference between the Makaha and the Haleiwa is that the Makaha has the heel cup. The heel cup is definitely worth the extra dough, for both comfort and longevity.

Holy cow, these things run small...at least 2 sizes. I'm size 15 and size 16 in this sandal barely fits. I have his same Scott Hawaii Makaha in size 16 I bought a decade ago and it's huge compared to today's version. I would return it but for the fact these sandal are only going to be used as gym shower slippers. If you're at least a size 15, I'd give these a pass.

Best sandal ever. I wear sandals most of the year and these are comfortable, durable and have great support and cushioning. I wear a 10.5 in most sneakers (puma, asics, vans). Size 11 in these Scott sandals fit me perfectly.

Great Flops for the price. I have insoles for flat feet that I wear with my all other shoes. Most cheap flops hurt my feet after a couple hours. These are heavier than reefs and have an arch support and heel cup. Fraction of the price of my Olukais.

This sandal has great arch support and heel cup for comfort. I have not worn them long but they are quite comfortable. The sole seems to be firm enough for great support and long time wear. I suspect these sandals will last me many summers.

I really like this "flip flop". It has good structure with great arch support and a solid sole for use on uneven ground. The toe strap and arch are made from a quality synthetic strap that is very comfortable to use and wear and has a feeling of 'quality'. My limited use outdoors so far is showing this flip flop to be a good choice for me as it protects my foot from sticks, stones, etc. that may injure my foot if walking barefoot without being overly heavy or stiff. For use around a resort or similar urban setting, this flip flop will be a joy to use as it will protect your foot from hot concrete while allowing you to avoid sweat-soaked socks and hot shoes or boots! For anyone looking for a better flip flop than what you see at your typical 'big box mass-market' stores, buy this instead. For similar money to what I found at my local sporting goods retailer (national chain) from Nike, Addidas, etc., I got a better quality product that serves me much better. The cost was essentially the same without the impulse buy option but, with a little research, I got a better built flip flop with good arch support, a better sole for durability and, a very comfortable footbed without the cheap plastic and cheap feel of what I found at my normal retail options.

Superb quality. I had never owned a Scott’s & I will never buy another brand again. These are really well made. They are actually slightly heavy, because of the sole. In the process of buying another pair right now.

I got this as a gift for my dad. He’s had them about 5 months and he wears them everyday (we live in Hawaii). He says he likes them and wants to get another pair, so I guess they’re good.

Best flip flops ever. I got my first pair in Hawaii and have been buying them ever since. I live in these all summer. I find that these have better arch support than any of the Scott Hawaii women's sandals. Luckily they make small Men's sizes.

I get a new pair of these every year because I wear them 360 days a year. The most comfortable and durable flip flops out there. This must be the 10th pair I've purchased!

I wear these all the time inside and outside, and they've lasted 3 years! I think that's a personal flip-flop lifetime record.

As others have posted about these flip flops, they are actually really comfortable once broken in. 99% of flip flops these days have stiff, shoe-like treads which I think are a poor choice for flip flops. These also have pretty heavy treads, but they are more flexible I guess.

I had a pair of leather soled Levi's flip flops that I purchased years ago that had finally come to the end of the line. After searching and searching, it appears that Levi's no longer makes them. I scanned Zappos from the high end to the low end for some new flops and it seems from the reviews that Scott's were the way to go. I purchased a pair and can't believe how good they fit and feel. I put a five mile walk on them right out of the box, so I can attest that there is no "breaking in" period needed. The strap is a little stiff, but that will soften in time. The arch support and heel cup are very refreshing to someone who was used to a flat flip flop. I wear a size 14 and they are a perfect fit. The sole is thick enough and soft enough, but not too soft. They could be used on trails, in the city, on the beach or poolside. If they last half as long as my Levi's flip flops, I will be a customer for life.

Love em’. Been wearing Scott Hawaii since I lived there in 1995. Great, simple & Durable with good support. Survived a teething puppy and going on 2+ years.

Fit perfect and are super comfortable! Hard to find size 15 flip flops and these are awesome!

6th or 7th pair of Scott Makaha's in a row. Super solid construction and durable. Stiff at first, but gets better the more you wear them and break em in.
