Sadly, I returned this bag. I wanted to like it, but it just didn't work for me. If you want a lightweight bag big enough to hold the essentials plus file folders, iPad, lunch and sweater, maybe this huge bag will suit you. I got it in the black vintage color with the brown edges - loved the look, but the leather is so thin that the bag doesn't hold its shape. It was too big for just my usual handbag stuff, which was so far down in the the bag that I had to send a scouting party to find things. If it wasn't full, the middle bottom of the bag drooped when picked it up and the top sagged. When I set it down, it collapsed into a messy-looking pile of leather with handles. If it was a couple of inches smaller; say 12" x 12" instead of 14" x 14", or if the leather were stiff enough to have some structure, I'd have kept it. Mine had a red print lining which I didn't like nearly as much as the black/white print in Zappos' photo. This might make a great travel bag. The zipper problem others complained about has been fixed - Hobo added a leather stopper.

I bought this bag in Cobalt this summer. My zipper has a leather tag at the end and does not come apart. I really love it. Mine looks softer than the pictures. When you hold it by the small handles, the corners slope down, and when you use the crossbody strap, the center falls. The cobalt color works as a great accent to almost everything in my wardrobe. My only complaints are that I wish that the crossbody strap were wider and a little longer.

This is a cool looking bag. I like the look, style, and fun lining and was looking for a tote with a zipper across the top like this. However, the quality/design of the zipper is quite poor. It needs a "stopper" on the end because if you open the zipper all the way to reach inside the bag you need about 5 minutes to try to re-thread the zipper and get it to work.

I just bought this bag in black and I am crazy for it! First of all, it is stunning. Second, it has a pocket for everything. I do not have to paw through my bag for 10 minutes to find my keys or my cell phone or my makeup. There is enough room to shove my knitting in there along with everything else. I think I am in love.

I agree with the other review. I actually bought this bag and returned it because of a problem with the zipper. Too bad, cause it's a beautiful bag; mine was cobalt blue and stunning...I was sorry to have had to return it.

My purse has to hold a lot, between me stuff, things for my kids, and epipens & inhaler spacer, it needs to be big. This purse is large enough for everything I need with a little extra space, plus it's a very lightweight bag itself so it's not adding a bunch of unnecessary weight. I love the 2 types of handles - either in my hand with the short handles, or the options with the long strap. At 5' tall, this bag is perfect for me, not too large or overwhelming. My only complaint is I wish the long strap were either wider or had a shoulder cushion for when I need or cross body for a full day out. Love this bag & would definitely buy it again.

For years I've hunted for the "perfect bag". And this bag is IT! Big enough to carry all your needs through the day, but lightweight. Secures my items with a zipper. Style is unique and attractive. Great lining makes it easy to see what's in the bag. . Good storage pockets inside. Exterior slip pocket is the perfect size for an iPhone. Best of all, it's convertible: you can wear it three ways: Handbag, Shoulder bag, or Cross-body! Everything about this bag makes me happy. I plan to buy another one in a different color. Classy, elegant, and fun.

I am on my third gorgeous Sheila bag. The first one was Black, the second one was Green, and the third one is Cobalt. I was unable to buy the 3rd one from Zappos, as I couldn't find the color at Zappos when I wanted to get the bag. So I had to buy it from Hobo Bags, a company I admire greatly, but it doesn't have the one year return policy as Zappos does. These bags are elegant beautiful " slouch" bags. To the person who didn't like it because it was too big and limp for you, I recommend the Hobo Merritt, or another Hobo bag. The only one criticism I have of the Sheila style is that they it use a slightly stiffer bottom panel to support some little feet. I carry my handbag everywhere; I don't trust anyone to watch it as assiduously as I would, so there are times when I do find myself resting it on a floor or otherwise unsavory surface for just a minute, so I would appreciate feet. Otherwise it is the perfect sized handbag for my needs.

I can't decide! I love this bag. I got it in cobalt and granite and can't decide between the two. The cobalt is perfect for a pop of color (I hate that phrase, but it's accurate) and for running around in the summer. It easily accommodates yoga clothes, books, Kindle, charger, water bottle, etc. Things that you need on the move. Yes, you do have to search the bottom for some of your stuff, but there's no perfect solution. The smaller Marley version is more compact and stylish in many ways, but if you can't pop stuff in on the run, what use is it? I love the granite color. It seems lavender, but "fights" some of my outfits. I saw the same color in the Marley version, but function counts. I'm actually thinking of getting both, one for a more summery look, one for winter and more low key affairs. Can't decide. ):

I bought the Hobo Sheila in Teal as a work tote/laptop bag and could not be more pleased. Perfect for travel, this bag is spacious enough to be your carry-on bag/purse all-in-one fabulous piece. I found the bag sturdy and comfortable (and I wore it while running through the ATL airport). The multiple inside pockets are perfect for wallet, phone, cosmetic bag, snacks, etc, and the outside pockets will hold your water bottle. Bonus for that! No issues at all with the zipper.Highly recommend!

Such soft leather and the color is beautiful! The inside pockets could be a little wider for the new bigger phones...just a suggestion! Love it!

Bag itself is nice but the dust bag for the purse looks like it was run over, there are black marks all over the bag.

Loved the bag, but the strap was stiff and didn't really match the quality of the bag. The drop wasn't very conducive for wearing as a crossbody bag.
