I have bought and returned 4 different boots because I am so picky with comfort. Well these boots are perfect. They were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I have worn them all day several times and they are great. They look so cute over my skinny jeans. The heal is the perfect height, a tad more than flat, but not too high that you can walk around all day and feel great.

The boots are beautiful. Even better in person and so comfortable. They are high on the leg and have a beautiful patina. I have worn the Born brand shoes before and been pleased and the boot meets up to that standard. I am really happy with my choice.

I am normally a size 9 with a wide foot but on the recommendation of other reviews I ordered an 8 1/2. On the box they were marked M/W. They fit so well out of the box & I know with time would have broken in to be even more comfortable. The leather is soft, the distressed look is perfect & the rubber sole are exactly what I had been looking for. The calf is a bit big (& I do have bigger calves) so they jutted out a bit under my pant legs behind the knee but they would look adorable with a skirt/ dress or over pants. Unfortunately for me the color just did not work with my wardrobe. I need a darker boot. I was so disappointed I had to return them.

These boots are great! I found them to be true to size and so easy to wear. Comfortable right out of the box, flexible sole, soft leather. I like the zip backs and have received tons of compliments. I have 15 1/2 in circumference calves and I can wear these even with long jeans that have to be rolled a little at the ankles with no problems. Get them now! Great for moms who want to be stylish but have to chase after their kids.

I love these boots! They are super comfortable and I get compliments from everyone. They are so classic and trendy at the same time...whether it's my mom friends at Bunko or high school girls at the mall...everyone loves them and wants to know where they can get them. Calf shaft is a good circumference if you have muscular calves.

Didn't zip up. The calf circumference increases with shoe size, so on the size 6 I wear, the top of the boot shaft was a circumference of 15.25 inches (I measured), not 16.5 as the product info states. Not big enough to zip up more than two inches past the ankle -- that is because I am short, 5'2", so my calf starts lower on my leg, where a boot shaft is still skinny. I'm also a runner so I've got muscular 16 inch calves. That's what prevents me from wearing almost every knee boot out there... including this one, unfortunately. Loved the look, soft leather, heavenly cushioned footbed, stable heel. Wish it had worked.

I love these shoes! They are comfortable enough to wear on my long shifts at work and stylish enough to pair with any outfit. The zipper was difficult at first, but after breaking them in, and rolling the cuffs of my jeans they fit perfectly.

This is a great boot! Super comfortable and the perfect color to go with anything! I wear this casually and when I got out! Highly recommended!

I think I bought and returned about 15 pairs of boots before I finally settled on the Born Bitsy. I am 5'4" and 120 lbs, with athletic calves and none of the knee high boots out there would accommodate my calves with skinny jeans comfortably. These fit amazing and the leather is great. I am not in love with the heel (I purchased black and the heel is gray) but the traction on the bottom and the fit had me sold. They look cute with jeans and leggings and I've worn them to work, out on the town, and just running to the store on the weekends. Definitely worth the money. Thanks Zappos!

Absolutely in love with these boots! The leather is great quality, fits like a glove, and could walk in them all day. I have had so many compliments with this boot. Dress it up, or wear it casual with a pair of jeans. Definitely worth the price. I am thinking of getting another color! Just an FYI, calf circumference gets wider the bigger the foot size, good for me...but someone with super skinny calves might not like how roomy they are.

I bought and returned two other pairs of boots this winter, before thanking my lucky stars that I found these. I wanted flat boots because I am so concerned about comfort, but the small heel on these is actually no problem for me. Also, I sometimes find that Western boots (or boots with that type of toe, as these are) are too narrow at the end and push my pinky toes in, but this did not happen with these. The leather is soft, the style is great (I get lots of compliments), and I wore them on a trip the day after they arrived that consisted of 15 miles of walking around New York City. I did not have any problems!

These boots are amazing. The leather is sturdy and supple, they are well-made, versatile, and supportive. Unfortunately, I have to return my third pair because for me they run huge. I usually wear a 9 and ordered that size first. Then the 8½ was too big. Even after trying on the 8 I still have an inch in front of my toes and my heel slides up when I walk. For the right feet these boots are fantastic!

I bought these for my 21 year old, fashion conscious daughter for Christmas. She loves them. They are very flattering even in the size 12 we needed. The barnwood color is a great color and it will go with anything. They are comfortable, and she says she'll wear them several times a week...we'll see. They really fit the bill for the height as they almost come to the knee on this 5'9" woman.

Such a groovy boot. Worth the splurge. I'll wear them until they worn out. Love these boots! Muah!

These boots are very comfortable and warm. I get a lot of compliments, you can be stylish and comfortable with these very well made boots and as usual with Zappos, I got them in one day!

These boots are amazing! They are made of incredibly soft leather-I didn't need any time to break them in (and I have finicky feet!) And although the design isn't particularly exciting, I find myself wearing these with absolutely everything I own. I have average size calves and they fit easily over jeans without feeling too tight. These are great boots you will want to wear everywhere.

Love these boots. I have very muscular calves and have difficulty finding boots that will fit. These are perfect. The color is a nice neutral. Between grey and beige. Very comfortable and good arch support.

Believe the 5 star ratings you see! These boots fit like a glove, and Born should make more like these. I am now ordering a pair in another color. These are the only shoes/boots I wore immediately without any problems. Comfort without a doubt. I have always felt that my calves were a little muscular, but these boots fit and I even have extra room. I wear these with skinny jeans, and no problem. Buy these boots. Note to Born - make shoes/boots that feel like these.

Nice boot, but very wide shaft. Looks way out of proportion, and I have very muscular calves and legs.

I finally found the perfect boot after trying for a couple of years. I ordered these boots in black. I love the fit. They are so comfortable you don't need any break in time. The arch hits in the proper place. It has great arch support. (The most important feature of any boot or shoe!) The full grain high quality leather is supple (not thin and flimsy). The sole is thick and durable. The shaft of the boot hugs in all the right places. I have wide calves (16") and the boot zipped up nicely. The back zipper is a little different but my husband really likes it, plus it's easier to do than the side zipper. I won't be able to tuck in any jeans, but I wanted them more for dress than casual anyway. And even though they have that western kind of look, in black they do dress up nicely. I finally found the perfect boot! I love Zappos! I thank Zappos for giving me the opportunity to try on Wide calf boots which brick and mortar stores don't carry and find the perfect boot!

I have tried on quite a few pairs of boots and these fit like a glove! Comfortable and stylish. I love the rubber-like soles and heel, they don't go "clomp, clomp" when you walk. Zappos has the fastest shipping, by far!

These are the most comfortable boots I have tried on, and I've tried on at least 20 this season. They are great quality and actually fit my athletic calf. I am 5'4 and 120 pounds and have a 14.5 inch calf. If they were a smidgen wider I would be in heaven. As it is, they are so much better than everything else I've come across, that I might have finally found my boots after searching for nearly 2 years. A tad more western and worn-in than I was going for, but still super cute and versatile!

These are super comfortable boots. And I have foot issues which make a lot of boots uncomfortable. The sole is so nice and cushioned. The leather on the barnwood taupe is buttery soft (distressed and matte finished almost like a nubuck). There is enough room across the ball of the foot and not to pointy/not too round toe. They have a nice mediumish heel height. Also, the shaft is quite tall. I am 5'7" and it comes all the way up to the bottom of my kneecap. I think that the shaft is a bit more roomy than I would like (I am a runner and very muscular) as I can tuck bootcut jeans with all that extra fabric into them. But it is not enough to make me give these babies up. The barnwood is a great neutral mushroomy/taupe. True to size. I orginally ordered the 9 (I am really more of an 8½) as that was all that was available at the time. I can get away with the 9 but have the 8½ coming and I am sure that will be the perfect fit. I should mention that I have boots that are double the price (and triple the price) of these boots that are not as comfortable.

I love these boots. They are comfortable enough to wear around work (I work at a school, so there is tons of walking involved) and very cute. Happy I splurged and bought them! They are an investment. :)
