These shoes are perfect for my imperfect feet. I recently had one foot reconstructured and the other needs surgery. I purchased 7 pairs, including Dansko, Clark's, Merrells and Keens, and returned and thought there were no shoes for me. I called again with Alegria as a possibility. I spoke with a rep who had been to the manufacturer and also wears Alegria. She suggested Paloma to me, explaining Alegria have so much padding even the ball of the foot. She said the patents are lined with leather and are extremely soft. I chose the tortoise color to wear with all colors. I had a smile as I put them on. I am amazed by the soft glove leather feel of these shoes. I have never felt shoes like these. I am so glad I tried again and now have these adorable mary janes. Thank you to Zappos for treating me great even though I had returned so many shoes in one month. Thank you to Viola for finding the perfect shoe for me.

These shoes have excellent arch support and a very comfortable foot bed. I am a size 8.5 and I got them in a 38 which is a perfect fit. The velcro strap is nice too because it allows you to adjust the strap to fit the top of the foot without cutting into it or putting too much pressure across the top of the foot. I have high arches so this is a problem I have had with Dansko mary janes. The other thing I like about these shoes is that compared to other Dansko or clog style/comfort foot bed shoes, is that they are light weight but have a sturdy sole. The leather is pretty soft too which means less breaking in time and no blisters! I got them in the Pewter Charmer color and they remind me of a Ziggy Stardust snake. They look a lot more blue-ish multi colored than in the photo here, but for me that's a good thing. I love this brand and plan to purchase more from this company. I highly recommend these for anyone who has fatigue or back pain.

Alegrias are so comfortable and so much fun! I bought the basic black Paloma for choir performances when I have to stand still for over an hour. But now I have thrown caution to the wind and own four more pairs, including the fun prints and ones with bejeweled buckles! I have always worn Danskos for the arch support, but these are even better. I disagree with all those who say they run big, or maybe I just like them looser. I wear a 7-1/2 in most shoes, which according to the Alegria size chart is a 37. But I wear a 38 in Danskos and Birkenstocks because I don't want them to hug my foot like a sneaker, so for me, the Alegria 38s are perfect. If you want them to feel secure like a running shoe or fashion pump, buy a size smaller. If you want to wallow in comfort and have happy feet, buy your true size. (Having said that, I must add a detail: I buy the 38s in the closed styles - Paloma and Feliz and in the Classics, but a 37 in the open-toe sandals.)

I love these shoes! Not only are they festive but so comfortable to wear standing for many hours. And they kind of roll when you walk due to the curved sole, which gives you a little boost forward. I debated for an hour whether to get the size 39 or 40 and after reading many reviews decided on the 39, and it fits perfectly. I usually wear a size 9-1/2 but fluctuate between a European size 39 and 40.

My daughter is a nurse and has 7 pair of Alegria in different styles/colors. She loves the shoes, and since I need a very good arch support, she suggested I try a pair. I work at an Elementary School as Secretary to the Principal, and I am on my feet a lot. I ordered one pair of Paloma, and I loved the way they fit and their funky style and colors. I ordered a second pair, then I ordered a 3rd pair. They are soooo comfortable. The arch support is excellent. It's also fun to get the cute comments from the students, parents and co-workers who have never seen a shoe quite like this. I love going to the mall because I always get comments from people. I am really hooked on this shoe and will probably catch up on my daughter's 7 pair. Also, I will be 70 years old in April and enjoy keeping up with current styles. I have paid the same for other brands that do not come near the comfort or style of Alegria.

These are awesome! Trying to decide between 40 and 41 sizes. The uppers are stiff and may take some wear to soften...possibly. I got the gypsy rose and see that each shoe is unique. No matter how many shoes of the same style you order in gypsy rose, the design on each one will be different. I am roughly 60 and have problem feet. In my exhaustive search to find comfortable and “fun” shoes for an important wedding, I eventually gave Alegria a try. I’m glad I did! The comfort of the footbed is unparalleled. Nice stability with the sole. Great toe room that allows for bunions and the silicone separators I wear. I think I am entering a new shoe love affair. In the pics, the shoes on the left are 41s and the ones on the right are 40s. Hopefully, you can see the difference in design on each shoe. Just love them!! ??????

I think I'm in love with my new shoes and they're chunky and funky and feel great. I would disagree with one reviewer, who said they feel a size larger than marked. I bought the 42, which is supposed to be like 11 1/2 to 12, and that's what these are. I'd prefer more of a 12 than a 11 1/2, since I can just feel the shoe front with my toes. Maybe they stretch a little over time, but from the box, they're true to size, at least in my case. Feels like good support and nice rolling action. These are going on a two-week walking tour of London and Paris soon and I hope they feel as good at the end of the trip as they do now!

These are supremely cute in real life and weigh next to nothing compared to what you'd expect for the design! The strap is highly adjustable and the shoe stays in place well even with my narrow foot (first photo). The built-in insole is comfortable overall with moderate but not extreme arch support. It is easily removed to place a custom orthotic; however, the original insole is so much thicker and cushioned at the toe than a standard insole that my custom orthotic sat very low in the shoe and left an enormous gap in the toe box (second photo). I highly recommend this shoe if you want something light, comfortable, and pretty, but think twice if you need it to support an orthotic.

Love these shoes! I have them in plum patent and silver paisley. I get compliments every single time I wear them! I can also fit my Arizona AFO (large custom ankle brace and orthotic) inside. The footbed is lovely. It also has added depth so when I have my AFO brace on I can remove the footbed and place a thinner one in. I have narrow and flat feet when they are not swollen and in braces. This style fits my foot regardless of whether I have the brace on. They way they are cut accommodates a narrower or wider foot. And the velcro seems to last and last. And yet is easy to get on. And the velcro edge does not roll up and get caught on my clothing the way other shoes do. I've never once had the velcro come loose. For someone stuck in "orthopedic shoes", but is only 35 years old, these are a breath of fresh air. The leathers are fun!

Purchased at suggestion by Alegria to replace Feliz which was loose in heel. Totally different feel in insole and Feliz was like a cloud on insole but not these. Returned, still searching for the elusive 15 hour comfort shoe for work. Button trim (not functional) was not complimentary to the style.

I am in love with these Mary Janes! I have tried EVERYTHING over the last 20 yrs of working on a concrete floors with not so great results. I wear these 11-13 hours a day sometimes and have never had any pain in feet, legs, or back. The square toe gives me plenty of room. I have a narrow foot so medium width works well for me. The great thing about that is they also have these in wide width for people with wider feet. They were well worth the money I spent! I have paid same price for sneakers with not so good results. The fit is pretty true to size. I do suggest trying them on before buying, some may need the 39 or 9s that usually wear an 8 or 38 depending on thickness at top of foot. Made of good quality leather. I work in a lab and these are great for accidental spills and clean up easily. I prefer a more solid color but there are endless colors and designs. Great buy. I will definitely be buying more. I have also had vein surgery on my leg from varicose veins and have zero pain wearing these! Great find for me!

Holy Mackerel! These are my first pair of Alegria, but they will not be my last. I can't believe how cushy, yet supportive they feel. And I can make them tight enough so they don't slop in the heel (cursed with narrow heels). Nearly always take a 38 in Euro sizing, but here a 37 (as recommended for US size 7.5 (my normal size)) is absolutely perfect. They sort of have a cute/ugly look going on. Will get one of the pretty patents next time.

I started a new job at a university and needed shoes for quickly walking across campus and up and down flights of stairs. These shoes are great; my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. The insole is simply amazing. I like the Velco strap that makes it easy to adjust. I bought the multi-metalic color and they are so cute; love the gold decorative button. I do not know why the color is called multi because what I see is black with a gold sparkly overcoat. I wear them with jeans and casual pants. They were a little squeaky but I took the insole out and added a little powder & that took care of the squeak. I wear a size 7 and it was suggeseted to buy a 37 and I am happy with the fit. I would like to buy another pair but I cannot decide which ones I like most!

I needed a pair of shoes that I could wear my custom orthotics with. I'm recovering from foot surgery. I haven't been able to find anything that is remotely stylish and youthful looking. These are so comfortable and everyone in the office thinks they're super cute. Not my normal style, but I'm so grateful for this option. They really are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. If you're contemplating buying them you should. The footbeds that come in them are much better than my custom orthotics! I normally wear a 9.5 and the size 40 fit perfect.

I just got my Alegria Paloma. This is the first Alegria shoes I own. It is not going to be the last though. I put them on and it was like walking on a cloud. I have a Morton's neuroma and shoes make my feet hurt but these shoes transfer the weight of your step to the back of the foot and the toes have plenty of room to spread. Fantastic! My feet are happy!

Received this shoe in the mail today in Charming Pewter and love the print/color. They are not too flashy, but a bit jazzier than your typical black. Perfect for a day in the OR, or a whole day on your feet. True to size, I wear a size 8 and 38's fit great. A bit wide in the toe area, but every shoe in this brand tends to run that way. I would definitely recommend!

First time Alegria buyer and yes, I am happy. I ordered Paloma in the midnight garden which is super cute. But, although I took a back up pair to school (I teach high school) they were not needed. Frankly, I even forgot that I had on new shoes - my students noticed and gave their approval. Size 36 was perfect and the fact that there is some heel is great.

Very comfy shoes. I originally ordered the black rose patent, but was really disappointed with it. If you're ordering that color, please be aware that the pattern is all very obviously outlined in gold (doesn't look at all like the picture). I returned them and am anxiously waiting the etched patent. I couldn't get over how comfortable they were and can't wait for the new ones to arrive. The insole if very cushy and supportive. The only drawback is that if you have custom orthotics you will probably have to get plain flat insoles to add in. The insole that comes with the shoes is really thick so once you take it out and put your orthotic in, the shoes are really lose. I think that's easily remedied though. I'm a size 9 and ordered the 39.

I love Alegria shoes! I love how they form fit to your feet, how they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and I can work all day without my feet, knees and back hurting. I teach and I can never find a moment to sit down. The velcro strap fits to any size. I wear an 8 1/2 but a 38 is a little tight so I get a loose 39. People stop me all the time and ask about these shoes, one woman even tried them on!

Love, love,love them. Have many Allegria shoes and these didn’t disappoint me. Yes now I have another shoe I love and looks so cute. They fit true to size and very comfortable. I saw the Hippie chic color last year but the store I I saw them in didn’t have my size. Should of looked on Zappos. Just found out about Zappos this year. Wish I would of found them earlier. Thank you Zappos to your excellent customer service. Have another box coming today from Zappos. I can’t wait to see this awesome boot I bought. It is only 8:30 am so I guess I have to wait awhile.

I’m a 58 year old teacher. I’ve worn Danskos for years, but now they just feel to hard. I’m coming home fatigued, sore legs, tired back. As soon as I put these on, I felt like my spine was aligned and my posture improved. I wore them to work today, and I’m hooked! Great arch support, which I need. I came home and took the dogs on a long walk :) It’s amazing what the right shoes can do. Yes they look a little funky, but so do my Birkenstocks! I could stand/walk forever in these.

I have the Paloma in Secret Garden and I love these shoes. I used to be a Dansko girl but no more. I am a nurse and am on my feet for 12 hours per shift. I have had previous foot surgeries and these are the only shoes that I will work in ever again. My feet have never felt this good after working 12 hours. I came to Zappos today to purchase another pair for work. A girl has to have a little variety you know.

I really like these shoes. They are cute looking and very comfortable. The arch support is amazing! I wear a size 5.5 and this European size 35 does very well especially as you can easily adjust the velcro closure. I did try another version with a thinner sole but they did not fit as well. I also purchased sandals that I am pleased with.

These are my second pair of Alegria shoes - and I think my favorite so far! Literally zero break-in time! Comfort straight from the box! I wear a 7.5 - 8.5 US size, I ordered a 38, and they fit perfectly! The strap is so comfortable, keeping them snug on my foot! I usually wear open back shoes and was afraid that this may bother my heel or rub my ankles - but no rubbing! I ordered on Saturday - they arrived on Monday! Wow!
