I fell in love with the sneaker but dressy look of these the moment I saw them. I had a very difficult time tracking down my size, but finally did. They definitely fit my foot lengthwise but are a tad tight widthwise, but I have a fairly wide foot. I am not a fan of most vegan dress shoes, typically because they are rather expensive unless you get low quality shoes that happen to be vegan, so this is an excellent value for a stylish shoe, and Macbeth has made some quality vegan shoes over the years.

These shoes are very unique. I find them to be very comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone interested. I think they are a very elegant shoe that could be used in a business casual environment.

These shoes are awesome! Great style, great comfort. I have gotten so many compliments from these shoes. If you want to go out in style, wear these!

I bought these shoes because I wanted something to pass as "smart casual" for work. I'm teacher and these do the trick quite nicely. A recommendation: switch out the laces. I bought some thin, black laces (meant for dress shoes) and it made them look much more professional and slick. The off-white ones are just too bulky and easily show dirt. I'm on my feet for at least 4 hours straight in the morning and these are much more comfortable than your standard dress shoes. In addition to my work outfits, they go nicely with all of my regular casual clothes/pants/jeans as well. I own a pair of MacBeth Brighton's and I'd say the Gatsby is slightly less comfortable. Though (so far) they have still been worth the money. We'll see how durable they wind up being over this next school year.

I had a love/hate relationship with this shoe. I returned it twice because it has issues with the sole in the heel splitting. Both pairs had this problem. Also, since I have low arches, the padding made the shoe very uncomfortable for me. Great looking shoe. Very uncomfortable, expensive, and shoddy. Never had this problem with Macbeth before.

Big Macbeth fan. The Gatsby shoe itself is very nice to look at, simple and smart looking. The size lengthwise to me fits true to size the width may be a bit narrow feeling but once you get your foot in them, still comfortable. There's a bit of padding inside around the toe makes it a bit tight but really comfortable again. My arches aren't too drastic but it was also one if the first things I noticed about the insole, they are made to support a medium to high arch. So people with low arches may want to replace the sole. If buying the leather model the bending point in the toe will crease so if that bothers you get the waxed canvas model. The only issue about these is that they split at the heel from the sponge sole making them very delicate to remove. Hopefully this gets reinforced and this shoe is one of the best Macbeth have right now.

These were the most uncomfortable shoes I ever wore -- for the first day or two. Now that they are broken in, they are super comfortable and I wear them every day. Tying them tightly is a little uncomfortable, but I quickly found a happy medium where they are secure and do not bind. I am sure I will buy them again. For casual shoes, I normally wear New Balance size 12.5 2E (aka Wide), but these pair in 13 are just a hair too long (not bad) and just the right width. I was looking for professional office shoes that are not leather and these work great with slacks and a button-down shirt. The soles seem sturdy, but I do not trust them too much to keep me from slipping after some Minnesota snow or ice. There is little texture to get traction, but they have not been a problem when just walking slowly.

I like this shoe so much that I bought it in 2 colors. Comfortable and stylish, perfect for when you don't want to wear dress shoes or sneakers.

Very lightweight and comfortable. This is my second pair of Gatsbys, and I'm pleased again. These were slightly wider than my feet, but tightening the laces fixed this. The black can blend in for semi formal occasions as well as casual, but don't look great with shorts. As you would expect from the material, they don't breathe very well in hot weather. The material is shinier than pictured, which doesn't really matter.

At first, I thought about returning the shoes because they were terribly uncomfortable. I decided to muscle through, and I am happy I did. Now, 6-7 months of daily wear, the shoes are VERY comfortable and have stood up well against the wear and tear.

Great shoe. Seems to be holding up nicely despite my propensity to wreck shoes quick. The only thing I will say is that it seems a little tight on the top of the foot. Thats a common problem I have with shoes though.

I really love the style and feel of these shoes. they've got a great vibe, and I love the cap toe look too. Sometimes I wish it didn't have the white stripe along the sole, but I've learned to live with it, and it gives the shoe a bi more of a 'puma' style athletic look that makes it more casual and versatile. It's a very comfortable shoe, fit true to size lengthwise, but were a tiny bit wide for my foot. Pretty good support, and the break-in period didn't seem to last very long. Buy it.

Currently on my second pair of these. Wear them everywhere I go, with the only surprise I haven't been through more. Stitching holds though, just the glue holding the two soles together comes apart after intense use. But that is what I get for playing soccer in them. If you want a great everyday shoe, and every occasion shoe, I couldn't recommend these more.

I've owned about ten pairs of MacBeth shoes and in the past I have fit into an 11. These are very tight! You may wish to consider going up just one size for this style. I think the width of the shoe is the problem.

Comfortable, supportive, minimal, stylish...really no complaints. I've done some walking in these as well, no major issues at all. Coloring is great and price point is fantastic for a solid canvas shoe. I vary between 10 & 10.5 depending on brand; Size 10 fit me perfect.

Runs just a little tight through the front. I wear a 10.5 or 11 in most sizes and purchased the 10.5. This particular shoe runs just a little smaller than expected, so I would recommend rounding up for most people. If you just tie it a little looser, you don't notice it at all and I can wear it all day at work without any problems. Looks great, feels good, and seems like it is well put together. Definitely a good price for a shoe that can be worn in a social or work environment.

I got these looking for something casual that still had a touch of class above just regular shoes and these definitely fot the bill. They are also pretty tough and really grippy. I bike around a lot and these have held up well so far. They havent even stained yet which I think another other propably would have. Like othera have said, it might be a little tight in the toe at first but within the week they felt fine.

My husband loved the first pair so much, I bought another for when they wear out. As a restaurant manager, he's on his feet all day and needs a comfortable, stylish shoe. These totally fit the bill. The best part - they're vegan, so no animals were harmed in the making of these awesome shoes.

Love these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box, and I've walked quite a bit in them with no problems. They've quickly become my favorite pair of shoes. I had to order a full size up because my foot is a little wide.

Their best feature is that they're very stylish, honestly I've gotten more compliments on this pair than any other shoe I've owned. They're kind of a dress shoe sneaker, which also means they're a little thinner soled than most other sneakers. After a day, maybe two, of breaking them in they have been very comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend wearing them every single day or your feet might hurt a little - I speak from experience.

These have really grown on me. I bought them on looks. Wanted something I could weather to work (business casual) and around town. I also really like faux leather. Like true leather shoes, you should be aware they take a little while to break in. They were pretty uncomfortable for the first few days but after about a week of wear they started to form to my foot. They were too tight in the toes and hard around the ankles initially. The soles are hard and stiff out of the box and have a break-in period as well. Once comparable to a pair of Vans as far as sole comfort. Now a month in to owning them, I would say they were worth the money and would recommend them.

I love these shoes. They look nice and don't get dirty easily. I switched out the laces for formal black ones so they can be casual and formal, whichever. My foot isn't necessarily "wide," but it's not skinny, and this shoe doesn't squeeze my foot. There also isn't too much arch support (I'm flat footed), and it's super comfy. Unfortunately, they didn't come in my size so I had to get half a size too large, but it stills looks nice.

I bought these as a gift for someone else. He has really liked them so far. He's had them for about three weeks and they appear to be in good condition.

Just got my second pair of these. They're pretty sturdy for vegan shoes. What I like best about them is the versatility - they look decent for slightly more formal occasions but don't look awkward with casual clothing.
