These are very comfortable shoes. I am glad that they are making them again. As a whole I have not been impressed with the new generation of Keen shoes, but these are an exception. About half a size larger than marked, enough for thick socks. They provide great support and plenty of width throughout. So far they are quite durable.

These shoes are fantastic. I'm 6'6" 250lbs. and I love walking, so I put my shoes through some pretty rugged paces. The banks of the James River in Richmond, VA offer miles of rugged but walkable trails and I'm on them every day. The Keen Brixen Lo stays snugly on my foot and has the perfect lug pattern for maximum grip with minimum mud retention. They are waterproof and insulated but do not feel hot on my feet in warmer weather. I usually wear 11.5-12 depending on the shoe, so I ordered 11.5 but returned them for the 12. I love them and will definitely buy another pair if these ever wear out!

These are warm and comfortable shoes! The floor in my office is cold. Walks on cold days, my feet got cold. In the past I have worn heavily insulated boots to keep my feet warm in the winter. This year I thought I would try lower cut insulated shoes. Unlike many other shoes that I have tried, these shoes with wool socks my feet have stayed warmer. The low tops allow the sweat in my socks to corporate. There is lots of room around the toes for evaporation. I use a Dr. Scholls gel foot pad under the shoe pad. They did take a while to break in but are comfortable now after about two weeks. They are great on ice and light snow. I order one size larger for the foot pads. I am very happy with this purchase. These shoes fit me so well that I had to purchase a second pair in the brown color. I have sensitive feet where the bottoms of my foot feel like every step is on hard cement and have found that shoes with EVA Midsoles seem to help. Just do a Zappos search on EVA Midsole and you will find all shoes that have this material. The material is commonly used to manufacture flip-flops as it is soft without being sponge like. I hope this helps other customers with sensitive feet.

Awesome design! Great traction in winter! Keen Dry works well. Easy on and off! That is why I bought them, and they didn't disappoint! These are bullet proof and would highly recommend them!

Comfortable, warm, durable! These are awesome easy on, easy off, fall and winter shoes. Great grip and sturdy for trail walks.

The fit and size were perfect. After years of buying Merrils only to have the soles wear out after a year of use these Keen Brixens are a welcome change. They are very well made and clean up easily.

The left shoe was a little tight at first took a week to work out. The ring around the angle where the top of the shoe met the ankle needed working in about a week (what a ring of fire for a week). That said, they are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time. I even have been known to sleep in them. Great shoe, will be ordering the other color.

Very disappointed. Received these shoes having had great experience with keen quality in the past. Within a couple short weeks of wearing the padding in the back has slumped down and rests uncomfortably on my heel. Hoping for a refund.

I purchased this shoe mainly for my winter bike commute, and have ended up wearing it far more often. They are warm, waterproof, easy to slip on and off, and have good traction in a variety of weather conditions. Is it a pretty shoe? Nope. It's kind of clunky. But it fits the bill for everything I was looking for, so I'm a satisfied customer!

Great shoe, exactly what I've come to expect from Keen. Works wonderfully for a wider foot. Zappos just can't be beat for ease and quickness of transaction, start to finish!

Love Keen and Zappos! Ordered shoe on Monday, arrived Tuesday via overnite Fedex at no charge! My kind of place! Shoe takes a week to break in which was uncomfortable but they feel and look great. Would buy again!

Keen! Nothing like a Keen. If you haven't worn a Keen you have not been totally comfortable in your shoes.

These are great shoes but nearly a full size smaller than stated. Very surprising for Keen.

Great shoe. Comfortable right out of the box. Keeps my feet very warm as well. Haven't tested them in snow yet.

I love these shoes. Super comfortable, super easy on and off, and like having an all terrain vehicle on your feet.

Great shoes...ugly, comfortable, and easy to remove at the airport. Hopefully I'll be equally pleased after wearing them this winter.

Seemed heavy & Frankensteinish at first, but they're actually pretty light on the foot. Stiff still after wearing just a few times, but feels like they are breaking in. Hope so because the ankle cuffs are high & rub against inner ankle bones currently. They feel like they add an inch to height, but not a huge heel/toe drop. Size was right on from the Keen clogs I wore into scraps. So why'd I keep them? They are light & feel like they'll break in. I was happy enough with the clogs I replaced these with that I will give them a shot. They also seem like they will be excellent winter shoes in the Boston slush.

The Brixen Lo are comfortable, warm, and noticeably stylish. I live in Minnesota and the Brixen handles all the elements beautifully.

A little tight in the foot opening. I have a high instep so it's understandable. Really like them, but one thing: They smell like cow manure. I purchased in October and could swear every time I got into my car I had just stepped in a cow pie! Yeah yeah I know it's not my feet, but maybe the different rubber compound from my sainted ShellBack Whistlers.

My husband loved the look of the Brixen Lo. He liked the feel of durability. However, the side is too high and it's too hard for him. After the first trial, he felt the side of the shoe hit his ankle bone and it hurt.

Husband has wide toes and a hard time finding shoes. These fit well and didn’t bother him working on his feet 10 hour days. Bought both colors (the black and the brown) because of the larger toe box comfort.

These fit perfectly, like they were made for my feet specifically. No break in period. Just comfort and joy.

Needed an innersole and tongue spacer. Then, once used for a few days, they are great. Warm for winter.

Excellent fit and comfort. Great for casual winter wear when you need extra warmth and moisture protection.
