The item is very comfortable and soft sole makes you move like a ninja, silently and with comfort. However, the item fell apart after only one winter, see photos. The stitching went undone. I only wore them at home. In my opinion, it's too expensive to have a $70 indoor slippers that only last one season. Zappos customer support helped me to resolve the issue. 2.5 stars to Halfinger AS Classic Slipper, 5 stars to Zappos Customer Support.

Despite not being a fan of heel-less shoes, I took a chance because I was looking for a boiled wool slipper that didn't have another type of lining. The main reason I was looking for as much boiled wool as possible is because I wanted breathable slippers, i.e., I didn't want my feet to sweat in them. Unfortunately, my toes sweat in them (but only my toes). As expected, I wasn't crazy about the fact they were heel-less, I didn't feel as if they were on my feet securely enough (i.e., it required very minimal effort to make sure they didn't come off my feet when walking or sitting with my feet up). Nonetheless, I almost kept them. They were very comfortable and seemed as if they were made very well. I liked the way the wool felt all around my feet (including the bottoms). I like that they don't have a hard bottom like the more expensive Giesswein Vent slippers I ended up with. If you like this style slipper (heel-less) and you don't mind slightly sweaty toes, you'll love this slipper.

I was hoping to wear these around the house instead of sneakers. I have plantar fasciitis and these are too flat with not enough arch support. Also, they are wide (I wear a medium) so they were not snug enough. But Zappos is great and I'll keep ordering!

Not sure if my feet have changed or these slippers have. I used to buy a pair every year, same dark gray, same size 41. Now, they are FAR too small, the arch feels stiff and way too aggressive, and they're just not comfortable.

I love these slippers and have several of them - all in the same size. However, this one has something odd in the way it is made that crowds out the foot. We compared it with other slippers (same brand & style) and discovered the interior footbed is much thicker than usual. And that makes the slipper too snug - uncomfortable, binding at the top. Who wants an uncomfortable slipper?

I loved these slippers. They were warm, comfortable, and truly supportive on the hard floors of our apartment. However, in the two years that I've had them, they have disintegrated. The tops are still in excellent shape, but the soles are worn, and the tops have torn away from the soles, exposing the rubber inside the wool covering. I don't expect a slipper to last forever, but I do expect to get more than two winters out of a slipper that costs nearly $80.

While Zappos claims, "Lightweight rubber outsole" that is not the case. The outsole is wool with a few rubber dots. Can't be worn outside or anywhere with moisture on the ground.

These shoes were really large, and I have to send them back. Also there is no structure, so your foot slides back and forth a lot off the foot bed. I thought there would be more rubber on the sole/treads too, but it's mostly wool making them indoor slippers only.

I DO NOT recommend. I've bought these slippers for years but the quality is not what it used to be. There are tiny rubber dots on the sole to provide grip so you don't slip; it used to take 1-2 years for the dots to wear out. Now, however, the dots under the ball of the foot and the heel wore off in three weeks and as a result I ended up slipping and hurting myself. I'd ordered a few pairs to take advantage of the lower price but I am returning the unworn ones as these are an actual hazard.

These slippers did not hold up at all. I have worn them on and off, indoors only (alternating with other slippers), and after 3 months, they already have holes in the soles. I have had these slippers in the past, and they never wore out the way these did. I am very disappointed. $80.00 slippers should last more than 3 months.

This is my second pair of Haflinger (both were the same "model"). The first ones lasted me close to 3 years, eventually developing holes on the top were the big toe is - understandable and otherwise in good shape. However, the second pair lasted al of 7 months before the seams just started falling apart - in the front especially but at the heel too. Ok for a $30 pair of slippers to last a year but these were an expensive pair I expected to get another 3 years out of - very disappointed that quality has fallen so 'unacceptable.'

This slipper has been my go-to house slipper for many years. HOWEVER, I have just noticed that I re-order the slipper almost every year. This is because the sole wears out! It also comes unstitched at the front of the slipper; so I re-order for another year. This is why I am writing a critical review. This slipper is to be worn in the house only -- which I do, but there is no excuse for how fragile the sole is. I will not re-order this slipper again although I will miss it.

I've worn this style of Haflinger slippers for at least 20 years -- size 41, charcoal gray. Don't mess with perfection, right? However, this most recent pair went straight back to Zappos. For the first time, the seam on the top of the foot was obnoxiously irritating, and the arch support was far too much for my feet. Not sure what's changed, but I regret not having purchased several of the older ones.

These slippers literally fell apart after 9 months of normal household use ( I don't have pets). They were comfortable but the quality for the price was inferior. I would like a refund or credit.

My husband loved these slippers; however, they did not hold up. After only a month, the soles started coming off. I sewed them back on and even super glued them to no avail. Then his toes wore holes right through the front. After only 3 months, they are totally shot. I will add, however, that he works at home and wore these slippers daily, for hours at a time. If you only plan on wearing them for short periods, they might be fine. He's going back to UGGS.

Read the fit survey! I've been wearing this slipper for over 15 years...very comfy, very durable. But they do tend to run a bit narrow and short.

One of my slippers has completely come apart at the outside seam after just three months of use. That is very disappointing for the price.

Nice and comfy, easy slip on but horrible marking on floors. Poor wear of soles and seams tear at back. Worst of the Haflingers I have ever purchased. Spend more and buy something better.

I had a pair of Haflinger slippers twenty years ago and loved them - wore them out (which is not easy...). When I moved into a much colder house this year, I bought another pair and have not been disappointed - warm, breathable, durable, comfortable, good indoor sole, but still quiet. Love them.

I have worn Harlingen classic slippers for 20+ years! Weather in Minnesota is chilly, to say the least so toasty warm slippers are a gift!
