These are gorgeous boots! Wish I could keep them, but there is no way to get my 16" calves into this boot and still pull it all the way up. I'm so sad. I thought about taking them to the cobbler to get them stretched because I like the style so much, but it's not even close. There's not even a zipper or goring to make it easier. These boots are made for very narrow calves. The footbed felt true to size, though.

Not for muscular calves! I am 5'8, with very muscular 15 1/2 calves. Could not pull these size 8s on with no amount of stretching or breaking in could ever make these work. Beautiful boot if you have average sized calves - gorgeous thick leather with a lovely feel. So sad and these are going back.

I love these boots! I was hesitant to purchase this style at first because the Melissa Button style did not fit me very well at all. These fit WAY better! Are very comfortable. I purchased the 8.5 which is my typical size in Frye in the all black. The leather is very durable, yet soft. They have a classic look while still being very unique. The circumference is 15 in and height is 17 in. Long story short, I'm in LOVE with these! Highly recommended.

Gorgeous boot, but sadly not made for anyone under 5'6". It doesn't hit your leg in the right place. Had to send back.

I was hesitant to buy these boots because at 5'2" it is really hard to find boots that are not too tall. Surprisingly, they fit just fine (though they are a little wide circumference wise). I purchased these boots in my usual size and they were roomy at first, though that problem was easily fixed with a pair of thick socks. Overall, I would highly recommend these boots.

Loved the idea of this boot. The monogram cutout accent is really cool. They are too tall for me and too wide in the calf, so they are going back. I am 5'5" if that helps anyone. I am going to try a Born riding boot next.

Bought the 8.5 and it was not a 16 circumference as listed. It measured 15" circumference for those that want to know.

This boot looked and felt like a stove pipe on. The leather is incredibly stiff and the ankle is huge. Every time I tried to walk, the bulk ankle would make this loud noise that sounded like I was a little kid wearing my Mom's rain boots. On top of that, the boot came up behind my knee, making walking and sitting difficult. I rode for years, so I know boots, a riding boot would come up that high so that when it dropped at the ankle it was still high enough to protect the leg. It would take years for these to break in like that and I really don't want my fashion boot all wrinkled at the ankle so it fits at the knee. The sole was very slippery on my carpeting too. On the plus side, they have a nice footbed and you can get skinny jeans into them easily. But I shouldn't have to talk myself into keeping boots this pricey simply because they at the house and I'm tired of the boot search. Back they went and on to the next pair.

You get what you pay for...it's a great boot and a head turner. I have the black and brown. I would totally buy it again. This is a quality boot.

I love this boot! I got it in the black/brown combo. So cute and not super common. At first I thought I might need to order a half size down from my regular 9 (a little slippage in the heal and room to wiggle my toes). But then I read on the Frye Company website about those things being desirable in a Frye boot. So I kept my size 9s (my size in every other shoe I own) and I have worn them for an extended period once so far and at this point I think I have the perfect size and boot! They are fitted around my foot (narrow in a good way) so they definitely don't feel too big, and like I said, I have room to wiggle my toes (unlike the suggested fit for some cowboy boots). They are snug on my calves when I wear straight leg jeans, but it is definitely doable and they are perfect with leggings and skinny jeans (I tried them on with all my pants to be sure they would work with everything)! I love these boots. That is really what it comes down to.

These are stunningly gorgeous boots. I got the two-tone and, like other reviewers have said, they go well with anything. I had some difficulty getting them on initially but solved the problem with the shopping bag trick. For reference, my calves are 13.5 inches and I have a rather high arch (which might explain the difficulty getting them on). I did not size down or up. I felt they run true to size. The only mention I will make about fit is that there seems to be a little extra room in the ankle. My skinny jeans fit with just enough room. I would not, however, recommend for someone with athletic calves.

These boots are amazing, they were slightly snug around the calf at first but quickly loosened up to have that classic riding boot look. They are very tall and come up right below my knee (I am 5'8"). The all leather footbed molds to your foot quickly and they did not take very long to break in at all. They are gorgeous and I wear them almost daily and get tons and tons of compliments. They are definitely a great buy.

I just received these boots and all I can say is beautiful and they are so much more beautiful in person and they look so expensive! I'm obsessed! They are very hard to take on and off but I'm sure over time this will change. Also my delivery was lost and Zappos sent out a brand new pair the very next day no questions asked! Thank you Zappos!

These boots are beautiful, however, they are very tall if you are a shorter girl. I am 5'3 and these reached to my knees; I returned them and am keeping the Melissa button (no logo) instead, which are slightly shorter in the shaft.

Lets start by stating that I am a Boot-aholic. I have several brands in my collection, Old Gringo, Via Spiga, Michael Kors, El Vaquero just to name a few and I will admit that I am very picky when it comes to boots. If they don't look great and feel great at first glance and wear, I don't by them, period. Last night the Frye Melissa Logo boot (in cognac) was delivered to my door. When I opened the box I feel in love immediately. The color was so beautiful. A rich, warm, cognac with a hand rubbed wax that gives the boot an aged patina. Yummy! The boot is a classic riding boot that will never go out of style and the logo detail at the top of the shaft adds that little something special. It's well made and very comfortable. For the ladies who have slimmer calves these fryes are perfect. They felt great from the moment I put them on. All of these qualities justify the price. I will wear these boots for years to come!

The quality is amazing; you are greeted by a rich leather scent upon opening the box. As stated by previous reviewers, they are tight around the calf area, easily fixed by a trip to the cobbler. Similar versions of the black multi version include the Stuart Weitzman - upbeat (higher price range) and the Etienne Aigner - chastity (lower price range). At the end of the day, this is a splurge item but well worth it.

Love! I have a very narrow, flat foot, and I usually wear an 8. However, after ordering my usual size from the Frye site, I ended up returning it. I found that Zappos had the 8.5 for cheaper! I advise ordering a 1/2 size up. The boots run a bit narrow around the balls of the feet, and the calf can be a little snug (even on my slim/athletic frame). The leather and craftsmanship are phenomenal and the foot bed is super comfy. I get tons of compliments on the appearance, especially the crest. I had my cobbler add a rubber sole for traction, and I'm looking forward to wearing these for years to come.

Beautiful boot! I love this boot! I bought the Black Multi-color. I first saw Kourtney Kardashian in a similar multi-colored pair that are Chanel. They were super cute. So when I saw these Fryes I had to buy them. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. They are very comfortable right out of the box. They are very classy and versatile. You can dress them up with a blazer and skinnies or wear casual with leggings and a sweater. Well worth the money! Excellent quality and they are FRYE need I say more!

This is a beautiful boot and comfortable right out of the box (because it fits!). Measure the circumference of your calf at the widest part to insure you get the right boot. I also ordered another Frye (the Melissa Trapunto) which is gorgeous but way too tight in the calf. On the Trapunto, it said 15" circumference, which is what my calf is, but I really couldn't even pull it up without tights on. There just wasn't enough room for my calves to flex while walking. Sending those back but definitely keeping the Melissa Logo.

These boots are beyond gorgeous! I have them in the black/brown combo which I love because it matches everything. I love how easy it is to dress these up or down. I ordered a half size down according to the other Frye reveiws. They are a little tough to pull on at first, but break in after 2-3 wears. I have small calves, and they fit pretty snug compared to other pull on boots. I get compliments on them every time I wear them and for the quality, I think the price is reasonable.

I'm so in love with these boots. Everything about them is perfect. They're a little stiff right away, and a little tight around the calves, but after a few wears they stretch out a bit and are super comfortable and easy to put on. It's my first pair of Frye boots, and I will be purchasing another pair in the near future! :)

Ordered these boots yesterday, received them today and I'm obsessed! I'm not the skinniest person alive and was worried about my calves fitting, but I was able to fit them over my skinny jeans snuggly and over leggings comfortably. I've already received 6 compliments and can't wait to wear them to NYC and am confident they will be very comfortable walking around the city.

This an absolutely beautiful pair of boots! I wear an 8 in Paige and an 8.5 in Veronica slouch. Took an 8 in these.

These boots are beautiful. The dark brown is deep and rich and the logo on the top is unique. I get compliments on these every time I wear them, and no one guesses they are Frye boots because they are unique looking. They are a bit stiff at first and hard to get on but they soften up after several wears.
