I have high weak arches, PF from genetics, years of too much step aerobics teaching, and moderate to excessive over pronation. They are great. Superb arch support. Hardy shoe and adjustable. Just because a description says it has arch support does not mean that it is enough. This shoe has plenty! My feet sweat so the only thing I wish they had was some type of absorbent foot bed but I understand why they don't. I will buy orthaheel again. Another summer shoe you also want to look at is the Montrail Molokini (female shoe) not a slide but its foot bed is also impressive. Note, I would say that if you don't need a lot of arch and motion/stability control this would not be the shoe for you.

A podiatrist suggested Orthoheels, saying that my hiking shoes and orthotics were great but I spent a lot of time indoors with lousy support. Compared to slippers, these aren't great looking, they're noisy on floors, heavy, and I have to be careful not to step on my wife's toes... but, bottom line is that my feet are getting the kind of support they should get all the time. Great shoes.

Very comfortable! I bought this style because of the Velcro adjustable feature. There were no problems making it fit my narrow foot. Very comfortable sandal from the first day. Nice high arch support for my own high arches. I love these!

These slides should be named "instant relief." This is the second pair that I have purchased because I now use one pair for around the house and one pair for going out. They are quality slippers that live up to the advertising statements made about them.

Excellent sandals, With major heel and arch issues (plantar fasciitis), though I am not healed, I am getting better, and it is in large part due to these sandals. They are comfortable and offer excellent arch support for those of us with ridiculously high arches. If you have heel or arch issues, these are a definite buy.

I purchased the Orthaheel Slides about two months ago and I can say they were better feeling than I expected. The slide supports the foot extremely well, and I have had no back pain. I have now purchased a second pair to use just in the house. Now my wife is thinking about ordering the Orthaheel. I just wished they would put a simple Velcro heel strap on, then I would wear them all the time.

The color was totally not the same as the photo. I ordered this same sandal a couple years ago and wanted to replace it with the same. The new ones are a light taupe / mushroom-tan color not the brownish color as shown. Liked the old ones better. Also the new ones have tiny little dots left on the the footbed from the relief of the die mold that forms the footbed that poke your foot making it hurt.

Runs large and wide, however, the wideness can be overcome by the adjustable top, which can be tightened and loosened with velcro. I would never wear these out because they are rather homely, but I bought them as house shoes, so they are working out just fine.

I have flat feet and I recently developed plantar fasciitis. I've never purchased shoes for plantar fasciitis before. These are my first pair, and I chose them because Vionic is known for sensible, supportive, stylish shoes. I figured these would have great arch support, and I was right. However, the material is so firm that it has almost no give, almost no cushioning. My flat feet were pressing strongly against the arch support, but the arch support was so firm that the arch support was actually grinding against my flat feet, increasing my pain in my mid-foot and giving me new pain in the heel. Still, I continued to wear these for several evenings indoors, thinking that it might require a break-in period. When there was no change, I got a hammer and actually pounded the foot bed a good bit, thinking that this might tenderize the material a little. No dice. In contrast, I can wear my Crocs for an hour with little pain; after an hour, though, my feet start to hurt. These hurt after just 15 minutes, in both my mid-foot and in my heel. My Crocs are closed-toe clogs, I wanted something open-toed with more support, so that's why I bought these. I recommend these shoes if you have moderate or arch arches that need support, but you don't need cushioning in the heel. I do not recommend these if you have flat feet, because the arch area of the foot bed is very pronounced; that, coupled with the hardness of the material, will make you feel like the arch support is digging into your mid-foot. I cannot return these because I wore them several times (albeit indoors) and I hit them quite a bit with a hammer (which didn't seem to affect them at all). Since they are in excellent, barely-used condition, and I still have the box, I'm going to take them to a consignment store and see if I can make back some of what I spent on them.

I only wear Orthaheel shoes and only certain ones. They did heal my pain in my hip, knees and ankles. I did not know the cause was alignment, and Orthaheel did realign me within about 2 weeks- no pain. One must break the shoes in slowly as the Mfer suggests in the pamphlet. The Kiwi has excellent cushioning in the sole. The footbed (strong arch and heel cup support) is Orthaheel at its best. However the strapping is a bit higher up on the forefoot than the Holly sandal, for example, making it harder to keep the foot anchored properly in the footbed. The Chocolate color was fine and the style a bit funky. The closing adjusts wonderfully, an improvement for Orthaheel designs. I use it mainly inside like a house slipper because of the strapping. I am not sure I would purchase another pair unless I were desperate.

Feels great for my plantar fasciitis. However the velcro does not last. The velcro on the right sliper got so bad that I could only take 2 steps before the velcro gave way and my foot comes out. I'm going to be returning this pair and going to try a pair of the kinetic flip flops.

I probably shouldn't even write this. I bought these shoes thinking they might help my sensitive feet but after trying them for a bit I found I just can't keep them on my feet. I would like them better if they had a strap in the rear.

These might be perfect for some people just not me. I purchased the sandal because of the arch support since I have a plantar fascia strain. These might be great for somebody else but I found them painful for having too much arch support. Like I said, it's probably just me but, "too much of anything is..."

I'm a big fan of Vionic Tide flip flops. I've been wearing them for decades, back when they were called "Orthaheel", and I have a closet full of different colors. With problem feet (extremely high arch, super high instep, overpronation, and plantar fasciitis that's almost been corrected by wearing Vionics) I almost always wear my Vionic flip flops when I can. I used to live in Texas, and flip-flop-wearing-weather was a huge portion of the year. Unfortunately, that's not so much the case now that I live up north again, and I have to wear other shoes during the colder months of the year. Typically closed-toe Vionic shoes don't provide the same level of arch support for me, they rub in weird places, and the shoes don't suit my style preferences, so I need to wear a different brand on cold days. Last year, I tried wearing Vionic flip flops with toe socks while indoors to give my feet a break , but found toe socks to be really uncomfortable, so this year I tried this pair of Vionic Kiwi Slides. I started wearing them around the house on cooler days since they easily accommodate socks. They are great! They provide the same excellent arch support that I'm accustomed to with Vionic Tide shoes. The sizing is the same -- I wear a women's 10 in Tides, and the same size fits me in this unisex style. I love that the band around the forefoot is adjustable... I can quickly and easily tweak the fit depending on whether I'm barefoot, or wearing either thick or thin socks. The little nubs on the insole seem to be more pronounced on these shoes than on any Tides I've bought in a long time, which I find to be nice ; they massage a little when I walk in them, and they are comfortable with socks or not. I will say that the sole is more firm and less cushy/spongy than I'd prefer, but perhaps they'll soften some with age and more wear (I've only had them a little more than a week).
My only real suggestion is on the style... They're not super-feminine looking on, which was not at all a surprise given the color choices and the fact that they are a unisex style, but I knew that when I made the purchase. I bought a camel pair and a black pair just because I know I'm going to want these for a long time living up north. These slides are purely for comfort and not for looks. However, wouldn't it be nice if there was prettier version available? I bought a pair of Vionic Val slides this past summer -- which are women's slides, and the pair I got was a nice fuchsia color -- but they are extremely narrow and I have to cram my foot into the shoes. There is no way the Vals will fit with socks. The Vals also don't have an adjustable velcro strap. It would be really great if Vionic would make these Kiwi slides in some nicer colors... Even if they didn't want to come up with girly pastels, a light denim blue or a soft gray would be nicer. In the meantime, I'm still going to opt for comfort, and wear my sort-of-masculine-looking-sandals around the house in the fall and winter!

I have got chronic foot pain and neuropathy due to a botched surgical intervention, bunions and very flat feet. I am hard to fit because one foot is almost a full size larger than the other. I got these this afternoon and have not taken them off since. I was able to stand for over an hour in these, which is remarkable. Thanks for the quick service, Zappos!

Very comfortable slide, nice arch support. So it's not pretty, it's not terrible either. I am using it mostly for a house shoe as I have pain walking barefoot. Something to note, I also bought the woman's blue version of this slide (this is unisex), and the arch support on the woman's shoe is much more substantial. Not sure why the difference, but there is. I wear either one of these Orthaheel slides daily, and I love them. Looking forward to trying other Orthaheel products!

I usually don't take the time to write a product review, but this one is an exception. The Orthaheel: Kiwi Slide Unisex is the most comfortable slipper that I've bought in decades. I have a hard time wearing flat slippers because they provide no support to the bottom of me feet. This slipper is built to account for the bottom shape of your feet - there is a heal cop, raised arch support and cushions the impact of walking. It's a great slipper to wear in the house. I'm 67 and would recommend this slipper to anyone who cares about their feet's comfort. Stephen

These shoes are my great around the house shoes, and fine for errands. They have protected my heel (plantar fasciitis) so that other shoes are more comfortable for me. I try to wear this shoe as much as possible for its therapeutic benefits.

If you have plantar fasciitis this is the shoe for you. My husband has plantar foot/bone spurs. We got him the walking company version of this shoe but he now loves & wears these all the time. The other ones are only 2 months old too. He just feels more relief when he wears the Orthaheels. Planning on buying him another color before next summer. They are also great as a slipper in the winter with socks to keep warm.
