These fit really well and feel great. I think I'd be happy with them if they were what I actually needed. I'm looking for more of a trail/light hiking shoe that's waterproof, but after unsuccessfully trying just about everything available in that category I switched to waterproof running shoes to see if I would have better luck with fit. These are great, fit-wise on my narrow foot, but I just don't think they're reinforced enough to hold up to how I'd use them. Maybe if I liked the way they look in addition to loving the feel I would find a reason to keep them, but I think they're heinous. Back to square one in my search.

I really like this shoe. My only concern is they didn't make it in wide. I'd prefer a wide because these shoes make my feet fall asleep if I tie them too tight. However, otherwise they are super comfortable for walking and running. It rains all the time and my feet have not gotten wet. I really recommend these shoes.

I purchased this shoe because I currently live in Alaska and did not want the snow/ice to stop me from running outside. I am a little new to running (for enjoyment) and this is my first pair of Brooks. It is a very tough, sturdy and definitely waterproof shoe! While slightly more bulky than my other running shoes, it is supportive, and comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone that needs a rugged running shoe.

Run small. Sized up and purchased 8.5 for 10 year old girl for school shoes. Loves them. Great arch support for days when she is not in her UGGs. Waterproof. Replaced laces with longer ones to make it easier for her to tie.

This is perfect - I love Brooks shoes and have several pairs. This waterproof version of Ghost is fantastic. All the great fit and comfort of Ghost that I can wear in wet weather. Love the color too. I kind of wish they came with a second pair of colored laces.

These shoes are great for hiking in the rain, playing golf in wet grass, and walking on cobblestones in foreign cities. They breath, are well cushioned, and are the only pair I need when traveling.

This shoe is completely waterproof and has great traction. I run a very rugged trail and this is my go to shoe, love it.

I love Brooks shoes, but these are not as great as my other ones. They feel more stiff? should have returned them but I kept thinking I could break them in.

Fantastic shoes, and they really keep feet dry while running in the rain. I usually wear a 9.5B in running shoes (Saucony, Asics, and New Balance), and the 9.5B in the Ghost fit perfectly. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel, and need a running shoe with snug heel room, and this is exactly how this shoe fits. I also have a medium-high arch, and I can't believe how comfortable these are, just enough stability (I'm an underpronator) and plenty of cushioning. Highly recommend.

I walk in a conservation area that has damp grass most mornings. Am always looking for the perfect shoe that is comfortable and will keep my feet dry. These shoes are so nice. When a put my foot in the first time they were so lightweight and cushioned and comfortable. Took my first walk and my feet were dry. My thoughts were to go online and immediately order another pair. Because you know how it seems...as soon as you find something nice they try to new and improve it and it is never the same. Would very definitely recommend these shoes/sneakers. I think they are nice looking too. Like sneakers not hiking shoes.

Looks like a sneaker. Feels like a sneaker. But, it's also waterproof. Perfect for everyday rainy weather. The traction could be better. I have to be careful when I encounter mud and moss on steep hills in Seattle. That said, this shoe is a diamond compared to the contenders. Love it.

These are great shoes. They are comfortable, but not too heavy. They provide great arch support. I like the black with feminine pink touches.

Love this shoe! True to size and width. Extra room in the toe area. Good heel to toe walking. Waterproof makes this shoe perfect. My second pair. I have a neutral foot and the fit is excellent.

I thought that these Gortex shoes would be great as I live in Port Townsend, Washington, where it rains a lot all year round and I walk outside every day. The shoes are rainproof but the down side is that the shoes squeaked horribly after only wearing them for two months! I called and spoke to a Brooks representative on their website and was told that many customers with these Goretex shoes had the same problem as the water gets inside the shoes and the glue starts to come apart so the squeaky sound will not ever go away. I bought these shoes at a fitness store in Bellingham, Washington, and they exchanged the shoes for me so I got a pair of non-Goretex Ghost shoes. My feet get wet now but at least the shoes do not squeak. I do not recommend the Goretex Ghost shoes because of the very annoying squeaky sounds the shoes make.

Don't know about these. Have other pairs of Brooks, and love them. This shoe feels comfortable on my foot, no pinching or anything, but after a couple of hours -- ouch! For whatever reason they make my Achilles tendon hurt like h**l! Tried them out in the house, and when I decided they were okay, fed the horses in them. Now I guess they are mine. Mud and poop stained, and only good for wearing short times. Maybe they'll break in. I will have to wait until the Salomon's I usually buy are back in stock in my size (the curse of wearing a woman's 12).

I really liked these shoes but they are a bit short for me. I wear a 12 and Brooks does not offer a 12½. I have great Asics running shoes in a 12½AA. But Asics does not offer a waterproof style in that size. I thought I would try Brooks. They are exactly what I want but sadly do not fit. So I am sending them back. Thank you for the free returns.

Great shoe! I was needing a neutral shoe to give good support and found it. Roomy toe box for a wide foot yet the heel could be laced tight enough to satisfy and narrow heel. Looks nice too. My feet seem to be changing (according to an MD, this is normal) so can't really say if true to size since my size seems to be changing).

These are light and comfortable and great for a large foot with a narrow heel and wide toe box. but at least a 1/2 size too small. My toe touches the end. Sent back, reordered next size up

I didn't believe sneakers could be waterproof; but these really truly are. I was looking for something to help me keep my exercise routine up in the rainy Pacific Northwest winter and WOW I am impressed. I took them to the beach. I have walked in the rain. They really work. My feet stay dry. I will say that I wore them to my children's swim lesson at the indoor pool and found them very hot - - but around town and around the house that hasn't been a problem. They are comfortable, supportive. My only complain is that the toe box is a tad bit more narrow than my favorite running shoe Nike Air Pegasus. They are also pretty stiff. However, that hasn't been a problem for me. I find I wear them more than I intend to.

I am a Brooks fan. I live in the Cascadia's Spring thru fall (I think I am on my seventh pair of them now). In the winter, I switch to gortex trail running shoes, (a must when living in either the Colorado Rockies, Portland Oregon, or northwest Montana. I typically wear vasque gortex trail runners. This year, I found a deal on both the Adrenaline and the Ghost. The Ghosts are amazing. Just as comfortable as my Cascadias! Who cares if they are not the most attractive - comfort and function are my priorities especially in winter running shoes. For some reason, the Sdrenalines were not as comfortable so I sending them back. I highly recommend these shoes for those who look at comfort and function over style!

I love these shoes! I was a bit skeptical about the waterproof-ness of them until I was at the soccer field this weekend. It was incredibly muddy and wet. When my foot sank into the ground, I braced myself for cold wetness. What a surprise when my foot stayed completely dry! That, coupled with the fact they're as comfortable as you'd expect from a Brooks shoe, makes them perfect for wet conditions. Worth every penny!

These are great shoes! I use them to trail run in wet grass and tall weeds and they keep my feet dry. Sand stays out too. The traction and support is great too.

These are great shoes. I use them for walking and for my job as a gardener. Love the fact that they are dark so they don't show dirt and are water-proof. I can walk through grass that is heavy with dew in the morning and my feet stay dry. Great support also for walking and standing all day.

These shoes are hideous to look at and not at all feminine and it may be because the color is black - that's the bad news. The good news is that they are waterproof and that's rare in running shoes. The fit is as advertised, so no need to size up or down. If you have wide feet, I'd suggest you still try them as I normally order wide and found these are actually fit in width. The shoe has a little arch support but not a lot but you can put your own orthotics in which I have done. I'd recommend this shoe. Hope they make them in a more feminine color going forward.

I bought these shoes after trying four other hiking shoes and deciding they were all too uncomfortable. I'm taking these to Alaska and hope the Gore-Tex keeps my feet dry. They are comfortable (of course they are, they are Brooks) and feel just like my running shoes, but a tiny bit more stiffness from the Gore-Tex. I usually wear an 8 in running shoes but I have to wear an 8.5 with any Brooks shoe.
