I actually found these in red in a local shoe warehouse store. I normally need a C width, so I'd never ordered Ariat boots online as I assumed they would be too narrow. Surprisingly, these boots are quite generous and I can wear a medium weight sock with them and have plenty of room in width and in the toebox. I did realize I needed to cut my toenails though :) Anyway, I don't know why but all the boots at this particular store had a weird haze on them, like too much wax had been applied, which I initially thought was some kind of funky antiquing effect, but I buffed them at home and it went away, so that might be what some reviewers are saying looks pink; these are definitely red, but have a worn, aged look to them and are not a bright, over-dyed shade of red like one often finds on purses. As far as length goes, I also don't agree that they run long. A cowboy boot should NOT stay on your heel when you walk, so I can understand why those not used to this feel would think them too big, but trust me, order your normal size and you'll be fine. My foot measures just under an 8 C and the 8 B in this boot is a perfect fit. The arch of the shoe should hit your own arch, so go by that and not heel fit. Right out of the box, these felt great. There is no break in period, the soles are flexible and well cushioned, and I can feel the arch support despite my high arches. They also don't weigh much so your feet and legs won't get tired they way a heavy motorcycle boot does, despite the solid construction. The soles are stitched from the bottom, the hallmark of a quality product. The price on these might seem a bit high, but they are really worth the money if you demand quality footwear that will last for years. I wore these all day yesterday, attending a baby shower and a concert, walked through rain, unpaved and gravel covered pathways, and they just felt great. For once I didn't come home and immediately want to take my shoes off. Even sitting at home all day today I've had them on and they feel good.

These boots are comfortable, true to size and very cute. I first tried to find a similar style in Frye but they never fit right. This boot, like the Ariat riding boots I have worn for 8 years, are built for comfort and style and really can work.

The boots are faboosh! Definitely a half size large, nice details, nice leather, nice lining, solid zipper. And they make we want to lasso a cowboy onto the dance floor. Yeehaw!

I love Ariat boots and this boot is so comfortable and cool. I have them in black and as usual, I took them out of the box and have been wearing them everyday without any problem, they are so comfy. No boot like an Ariat.

These boots are fantastic. As a huge fan of cowboy boots I wanted to get a pair that were shorter for the summer and fall. I wear them all around my college campus walking all day and my feet don't hurt or pinch at all! Definitely worth the purchase!

I was conflicted about these boots. For some reason I do not know, I let them sit in the box trying them on for weeks in front of the mirror before I finally walked onto the hard floor and made them officially Mine. And I am so glad that I did. This is the only pair of shoes that I reach for now. The go to. Every time I leave the house, this is it. You will stop wearing those awful, ugly tennis shoes you wear under the excuse that they are comfortable. Come on ladies. Give it a little energy. These boots got 10 years old comfortable within two wearings. They are on sale. You want these. Yes, you do.

Ariat boots rock, simple as that. These Billie boots are my new favorite, since I broke my ankle and can no longer wear pull-on boots due to lifetime pain and swelling. The zipper, probably just a cute touch for most, are a lifesaver for me, and I'm thankful for them. These boots are absolutely adorable, and in true Ariat style, are a perfect fit and uber-comfortable for all day wear right out of the box. All Ariats run a half size large, but if you know that going in, there should be no complaints from customers. I love these boots, and can't wait to wear them with shorts and skirts!

Love them! I was going to send them back at first (pale red looked slightly pink) but my girlfriends saw them and said "They are you!" Now I wear them at least 3 times a week - as casual office attire even. Fit was perfect and totally comfortable.

I absolutely love these boots in styling, fit, comfort and support. I wear a size 11 and have to wear good supporting shoes these fit like a glove. I really wanted the black Billies but they were out of my size and cannot find them anywhere else. Unfortunately, I really cannot wear this light tan color with anything so I am sending them back. If I wore skirts or faded denim they would be cute. I really want to keep them!! I am getting another pair of Ariat western boots from Zappos and hope they work out. I have Ariat clogs and other boots they are just the best and feel no need to buy another brand. I hope my size in black comes in again. Thanks Zappos for the great service.

These boots are comfortable, and not pinchy in the toes, which tends to happen to me. The opening of the boot is rather larger than it looks in the picture, so boot cut pants are good if you're wearing pants over them. They are beautiful -- slightly more pink than red, but lovely stitching. Nice padded footbed, which Ariat does so well.

I love this boot. I was unprepared for the slight heel slip that is common for all western boots, but was easy to get used to. Very comfortable. It is now my default footwear.

I love these boots! They broke in quickly, and now I wear them most days. I wear a size 9, B width and have a moderate arch, not high, not low. They really feel like exactly the right size. The color is a dusty black, just what I was looking for.

I absolutely love these boots. They are a fun style and are comfortable right out of the box. They are true to size if you are wearing athletic weight socks. If you plan to wear them with hose/tights or barefoot, you should order half a size smaller than usual.

I Love this boots! I always want boots as comfortable and well made as my riding boots. These are both! They have cute styling with a vintage twist! The fit true to size. They have a great no slip sole. They looks great with skinny jeans, leggings or bootcut jeans.

These boots are awesome. Seem to run half a size larger so I'm still debating whether to send back for a smaller size but definitely will keep a pair of these boots. They look great and are excellent quality and color. Love them.

Love these boots! Cute as all get out. I wear a 9 in Ariat and although the heel did slip when I tried them with just socks, when I got home and tucked my jeans into them: perfect. I like having enough space inside the boot to hold the jeans and they don't slip at all. I'll wear a thicker sock if I want to wear jeans outside but these are too cute to hide under a pant leg. Can't wait to wear them to work on Friday! Also, I have a condition called Morton's Neuroma in my left foot and Ariat is the one boot I can wear that offers the kind of support my foot needs and doesn't squash my foot at its widest part. Ariat's a godsend for problem feet.

Fantastic. Good looking and really really well made. Super comfortable--I put them right on and wore them all day. These are wide enough at the top to tuck straight jeans into them, but narrow enough that boot cut jeans fit over them neatly.

These shoes run a 1/2 size big. They are fantastic though. I first got an 8 which is my normal size, they were a bit loose and slipped in the heel so I ordered the 7.5 which fit perfectly. These boots are as cute as they are in the picture and have great support. The 7.5 felt snug when I first put them on but even just wearing them a couple hours have them forming to my foot comfortably. I don't ride horses but when I saw how much time this company put into making a good shoe for riders I figured they'd be a good shoe for a NYC walker/bike rider. I am very pleased, they will be my everyday shoe.

Ordered in the red, what a beautiful boot with comfort fit too. Seem a 1/2 size longer than true and a generous b width.

Ordered these boots in my natural size 10 and true to what the other reviewers say they are 1/2 size to large. The heel slips, I don't have to unzip them to take off. They are really cute and well made though, I will reorder a 9 1/2 and hope they fit.
