What seems to be the biggest problem is the narrowness of the boot around where the bottom laces are. I have been told I have a slightly narrow foot. They were pretty tight at first and I considered ordering a half size larger, but if i had, the toe room would have been huge. After having worn the boot for several days they stretched and now they fit perfectly.
So my advice, just order your normal size of shoe and they will loosen up to your foot. Leather apparently has a tendency to stretch. If theyre too tight, wear thin socks, if they stretch a bit much, wear thick socks.
The leather is so amazing. The quality is top notch. Its loose leather, not extremely firm like most leather boots are. So this adds to comfort and maneuverability. Though, it is firm in the necessary places like the toe, heel, and surrounding areas near the outer sole. The leather around the calf and the middle part of your foot is loose.

Extremely disappointed in this boot. The heel just broke off and the rubber sole was warn almost completely down. These are about 4 months old and for the price I would have expected at least a couple years of use. Besides that I love the style and they were pretty comfortable.

Good, comfortable boot. I loved them until the heel fell off. (I am 65 years old, and did not abuse them.) The company would not help, or even return my calls. For the price they should last more than 6 months.

The leather is extremely supple and the boots are very comfortable. The downside to the supple leather, however, is less durability (so don't go and get into fights with them or whatever). Despite what others have said about sizing down, I feel the boots fit true to size. I initially ordered a half size down and that was a mistake. This is the first time I've ever spent this much on a pair of boots but I don't regret doing so. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Wow. These feel like the softest gloves you've ever adorned. The stitching and lacing are very clean and stylish. I have only these a couple of weeks so their durability is unknown. Based on how incredibly soft and supple they are I wouldn't use these for anything other than light office, retail or casual walking. A beautiful boot but definitely not for "boot" wear.

This boot fits and adapts to your foot very well. The leather is quality and they were some of the most comfortable boots I've worn. Unfortunately, I was not happy with the design; the toe was a bit squat and the boot made my feet look somewhat stubby, and they shouldn't considering I wear size 11. Given that, I returned them.

I've had these boots for over a year. As the other reviews have mentioned the leather is very supple, almost to the point of an easy rip if you aren't careful. Aesthetically, this boot is amazing-plus I'm a sucker for the historical context the company applies to every shoe or boot. I ordered true to size, and it feels a bit tight. The length is fine, its the width that is a bit too snug for me. I have a hell of a time putting them on (as I mentioned before, I'm worried I'll rip the leather). Even after a year, the width is an issue. Comfort is so-so... I couldn't wear these on a work site or standing on a hard surface for a day. It's not a serious work boot, you'd be insane to do any work in these! But they are made in the us and look stunning.

The only thing I do not like about the Nathaniel Jump boot, is my pair seem to feel a size bigger than what they are marked. Other than that, I love them. They bring back memories of the pair I had from the Army surplus store way back!

This is the most expensive pair of boots I've ever bought...the most expensive piece of clothing I've bought for that matter. The quality is amazing. The leather is amazing. They fit like a custom made fine leather glove. They look amazing. However, my pair is very narrow, and pretty tight. I guess my feet are a little wide, but regular width boots are never much of a problem. On these tight/narrow boots, it causes a long/big blister along the side of my outer right foot...where my foot kind of sits on the edge of the sole. There doesn't seem to be a wide size, so I don't know that going a size larger would solve the problem. So I don't know if I should return them, or try to "break them in"...they're otherwise great boots! It's a bit frustrating, considering how much they cost, but I want to keep them!

I was surprized that this boot wasn't lined in the vamp area. The toe cap was and also the heel. But didn't look very stable in the vamp area. I felt it ran slightly big also and narrow. I think for the price the boot is well made, however I would expect the vamp to be lined for comfort and durablility. Sent back!

This is an extremely well made boot. However, the pair I received was either mislabeled, or else they run very small.
I normally wear a 10 but ordered a 10 1/2, expecting them to run somewhat small, but I couldn't get my foot into the boot.
They looked more like a pair of 9s. If they all run this small I'll have to order an 11 1/2 to get a good fit.

Garbage. Do yourself a favor and buy real Corcoran 1500 Jump Boots. While they don't have the cool weathered look and supple leather out of the box, the craftsmanship is far superior and they come in all sizes including different widths for a proper fit that won't destroy your feet. These knockoffs run extremely narrow and have poor craftsmanship. I exchanged several pairs trying to find the right fit and couldn't believe they considered some of what they sent to be pairs at all. They were mismatched, had uneven stitching, and didn't even sit level on the ground. I eventually settled on a pair and gave them a month thinking they would break in, but didn't. The result was nothing but blisters and money in my trash can.

These boots are fantastic. Previous reviews were helpful and spot on. It took exactly one week at Burning Man to wear them in and now they fit like a glove.
After a full three months they are my new favorite boots. Wear them out, wear them to work, wear them to the Black Rock desert. Not for hiking but darn stylish.
My only suggestion for improvement is in the arch support and overall insole comfort (its a traditional leather insole with very little resilience). Still far better than support in a Frye boot, and frankly my Ferragamo dress shoes are worse, so I cant complain!
You will love these shoes and thus far it appears they will last many years, are the type of shoe that can be easily repaired by a cobbler if sole wears out, etc.

These boots are head and shoulders above the competition in terms of build, style and comfort. American workers put foreign competitors to shame. You may not ever jump out of the back of a plane into enemy territory but wearing these boots will transport you to a better place.

My feet are exactly 11?" long and slightly on the narrow side. The width was great, but the shoes ran long. I tried an 11 and it was too big so I am returning it. I would probably need a 10½. Shoe sizes are never correct nor run true to size! How is that so difficult? These are cool boots, I wish they fit.

My pair of Corcoran Jump Boots were just plain worn out and I was in the market for a replacement. Corcoran makes a great jump boot, but the break in period is a bit painful and not something one looks forward to. I decided to look for an alternative and the Nathaniel Jump Boot from Vintage fit the bill. It is an excellent looking boot, maintaining that classic jump boot style. The leather, however is soft and supple, which limits the break in to a few days of wear. These boots are very well made, though I was a bit disappointed with the rather slim rubber tread. While not as tough as my Corcorans, they have held up well so far for normal wear. They are not designed for work wear, which is fine for me, because I have other boots more suited for work.
Overall, I am pretty happy with this purchase and would recommend the boot to folks looking for jump boot style, without the weeks of painful break in.

The boot itself is beautiful. The leather is really soft and broken in and the style is really unique. However, it is very narrow. I have an average foot width and my foot was hanging off the side of the sole, which is more noticeable because the leather is so soft.

I had been looking at these boots for almost 2 years but the price was kept me at bay, so you can imagine my excitement went they went on sale! Unfortunately, I think I understand why they did. I've read a few other reviews, and they have stretched with a weeks wear, but yes these boots are very, very, VERY (did I say very?) snug, to the point that it takes effort to get them on/off & they are not wearable for more than a few hours. The leather is soft and Vintage has decided not to put an inside liner (red flag #1) so when not wearing them, they sit there sadly crumpled (see product video of the dude holding them). I suspect these boots are going to have a short life. The soles are ridiculously cheap (red flag #2)- they are some kind of moderately hard plastic/rubber blend. I loved the patina look (darker around the edges, see pics) but my pair came just a monotone chocolate brown. Overall, I love the style of the boot but for the cost, even on sale, the quality is disappointing, the value is just not there. These should be a priced a little less. If you're looking for a tough boot that's going to last you for a few years, this is not it. If you're looking for a fair weather, fashion statement, look no further.
