Hmm, what can I say? Peppermint Patty sandals on steroids. Classic Birk fit, wide, chunky. If you have narrow feet like me, adjusting the straps is a must, your feet will mold to the foot-bed, but do not expect a perfect fit-comfy yes! Size wise, I'm a long toed, skinny foot 8, ordered a 38, fits fine. Note, these sandals are not demure,they embody something else. That part is up to you. Get these sandals and you'll look like a gladiator ready to rumble with scary monsters, or not.

My daughter will look fabulous in these comfortable sandals as she walks the streets of Italy this summer!

I absolutely love these sandals! The most comfortable pair of anything that I've ever had on my feet. This is my 3rd pair of Birks and I may order another pair of these before they stop carrying them! I love these!

I absolutley love these sandals, especially because I can adjust all the straps to fit both my feet andthe top strap fit around my large ankles. The leather is soft and I love the funky style!

I didn't realize I had ordered a narrow, but it worked out great. Very stylish! They are very comfortable and stay on with no effort.

It's a Birkenstock, so you know it's comfortable! Great shoe, with a funky look. One reviewer mentioned that they remind her of Peppermint Patty. I agree. Love the look though...just a little bit out there. Not your normal gladiator!

I'm in love! I wear a size 10, but ordered a size down (size 40 regular instead of 41 narrow) because with Birkenstock sandals I know they run big. These gladiator sandals have great support, won't fall off your feet, super comfortable. They're going to look great with summer skirts and pants, so glad it's an early summer here in D.C. I've been wearing Birkenstocks for work since 1999, and my feet love them! after being on my feet for 13 hours.

Loving these and I've only had them a couple hours! Had to get a size down, usually wear a 9 but, got a 39 (8). They are extremely sturdy but, look good.

Love these shoes and they fit around my large ankles!!! The leather was soft and they took no break in time for me.

I am probably the only person on the planet made this way, but the Birkenstock footbed turns out not to agree with my feet. They are very cute, cuter than I expected, and I will just not wear for long walks. I have truly terrible feet, though.

Love Birkenstock brand but never knew they had a 'gladiator' style. Tried them on and did not want to take them off. In addition to the cool style, the comfort is unbelievable! Love Zappos so much. Never been this pleased with a purchase in my life!

First, let me say that a Birkenstock narrow is pretty much an average width in most shoes. So I hope Zappos will offer more Birkenstocks in narrow. If I buy Birkenstocks in regular width, they are always too wide, and my foot is a regular width in all other shoes. These gladiators are adorable, and the color is a perfect neutral, which makes them look a little less bulky. Birkenstocks will always give you a bulkier look, but in this style, like their Gizeh, it's a great, modern look. These have great adjustment abilities with the three buckles...the bottom one can just be left done up getting them on and off. Look cute with pants, shorts, and even shorter skirts. These are awesome, period.

Love these! They truly are comfortable right out of the box...even if you're not a regular Birkenstock wearer. Love that all the straps are adjustable, as my feet tend to swell a bit in the heat! And...the ankle straps hide thick ankles! I will definitely be getting more of this brand.

I am absolutely in love with these shoes. After reading some reviews complaining about size, I was worried they would not fit but they fit perfectly. I don't want to take them off. I own 5 pairs of Birks and these are my favorite by far. I ordered these for an upcoming music festival and after wearing them I can tell they will be super comfortable. I have no complaints about these shoes.

These are my favorite shoes. I love them. They are super comfortable. I also always get compliments on them. I wear them with shorts, capri's, skirts, dresses. I like the boho style, so they go with a lot! Get them. You will love them too.

Birkenstock sandals have been in and out of my wardrobe for many years. And it has been a love-hate relationship. But the Chania is definitely a love experience. Much more style than the usual Birkie and yet still very comfortable. Also very flattering! So get them while you can and don't worry about them being narrow because they're not..

These are awesome and I receive compliments me on them frequently. I have average width, size 8 feet and the 38 narrow fit perfectly. I walk three miles in them on a regular basis and they are always comfortable. I'm glad I kept them because at first I was on the fence. One of the straps seemed too tight and the back of the shoe rubbed a little on my heel. I took a chance knowing the footbed would settle and the leather straps would stretch and soften a little and, lo and behold, the shoes were comfortable within a week's time. There's a reason there are so many five star reviews on this superb Birkenstock!

I love Birkenstocks and own many pairs. These are by far the most unusual. They are of course comfortable since they are Birkenstocks and have complete adjustability. I got the dark brown and want the Tobacco (light taupe) but will have to wait a while on those since they cost a bit more than normal Birkis. Get them while you can; you won't be sorry. They have the wonderful Birkenstock support for your feet.

Love them! So I was very hesitant to buy these given that they didn't come in regular width. I have the Gizeh in regular width and they fit great. I tried Gizeh in the narrow and they were too narrow. My feet are normal width. I never have to purchase wide shoes. I am starting to think they don't make this shoe in the regular width because it isn't available anywhere. They look great, they fit great, and best of all are super comfortable to walk in, and I do a lot of walking!

Birkenstocks are back according to the New York Times. I never stopped wearing them and this particular style fits right in with today's Grecian sandal craze.

My feet have taken to hurting in every pair of shoes that I own but not in these! I love my Birkenstock sandals! Plus, I think these are really different Gladiator-style sandals; not like everyone else.

Love my Birks! Comfy and stylish; I admired them on someone else and was delighted to find them on Zappos. Always pleased with your prompt service and very courteous customer service....a pleasant experience.

Very comfortable and stylish shoe. The ankle strap and middle foot strap were not big enough (size 42/11), so I had a hole punched in middle strap and for the ankle strap, I had a bit of elastic put in and a hole punch. Works wonderfully - I can even slip the shoes on (those ankle buckles can be a challenge). Now I wish I could find these in black.

I have size 10 2A narrow feet, but I went down a size and got the 9-91/2 narrow.The foot bed is the perfect width, the straps adjust well to the size of my feet, and the sandal is so cute! Sadly, the strap that holds the heel in place is not adjustable, and it was too big on me (I have very narrow heels) and looked sloppy. I returned them.
