This is gorgeous. It dresses up or down. It is the perfect size for petite women, but really should be called small and not medium. It is well constructed. Despite all of this it is tad expensive.

I'm an aid worker and I have used these bags in some really harsh conditions. I love them because they: are easily washable, have lots of zippers so my stuff stays safe and doesn't fall out, and are the perfect size to carry my laptop, kindle, iPod, passport, snacks, a shawl, sunglasses, travel size toothpaste, lotion, etc and other essentials as a carry on. I'm also petite and it sits comfortable on my shoulder. I haven't found a better tote and it's worth every penny. Of course, buying them from Zappos is an added bonus!

LeSportsac totes are by far the best for travel. Light weight and stylish, I always use them for international travel, which they double as my personal-sized carry on and my personal bag while walking around town. The Medium size is perfect to hold as many guide books as you want, but not too big to become a burden. The shiny graphite grey feels nice and looks sharp. Quality is always superior!

This is so cute. I bought this as a gift and then got one for myself. I think Le Sportsac is a little pricey, but I like the materials. The first time I wore it out, a friend spilled beer on it. I tossed in the wash and line dried. It was as good as new! It is a great size, with lots of pockets. I can see many occasions for this bag.

This is the perfect bag for a full day out in the city or wherever. It weighs nothing empty and is great in any weather. It holds what I need - a small/medium purse, compact umbrella, water bottle, iPad, and more.

This is a great size and shape for a day of shopping or as a carry-on. It's easy on the shoulder due to the wide straps, holds plenty without adding weight and patent wipes clean easily. Am loving this bag!

Great tote. Works great with iPad and other work necessary stuff. The little pouch is great to carry into stores when you don't need the large tote.

LeSportsac makes great bags and this particular size is my favorite. This is a really cute pattern and I get lots of compliments on it. It's machine washable, which is great for keeping it looking bright and new. It's sturdier than it looks and I have never had one rip or had the handle come loose from the body of the bag. Love it, love it!

I absolutely love lesportsac, they last forever and are so easy to clean! I bought the small and medium travel tote knowing I would return one. The medium is a little bit bigger, and in my opinion better as a carry-on bag. The small one comes with a matching cosmetic purse, which is nice but I have so many of those anyway. If you want more of a purse, go with the small. More of a spacious tote, go with the medium size. I imagine the large travel tote is too big.

Love the organization, capacity, pattern, and strap drop, but dislike how slippy the smooth straps are I have trouble keeping them from sliding off my shoulder while walking. Unfortunately this is my pet peeve with totes and most likely will be returning it.

I was looking for a bag that would make my winter commute to work a little easier, without sacrificing style. I needed something roomy enough to hold a pair of shoes (to change into from my snowy boots), and hold my lunch, wallet, phone, etc. I've always loved LeSport Sac, and so I was willing to try this bag even though the price was a bit steep. So far it's awesome -- very durable bag, and the silver/pewter color is a nice neutral with a little flare to it. This particular color actually has a hint of lavender/mauve to it...but depending on what you pair it with, that may not show through as much. Great zippers, with the ability to put a lock on the top zipper area (it's supposed to be a piece of luggage), and the inside clutch piece is roomy enough to fit phone, keys, lip gloss and wallet for easy access to "purse" things around whatever else you're toting in the large area. Love this bag!

LeSportsac is the only purse I carry. It is lightweight even after I stuff everything into it. Easy on the shoulder too. The many pockets keeps me and my valuables organized. The brand machine washes well. The black color is rich looking. These bags last forever, believe me. I have navy, tan, and a striped one. You can't go wrong with this purse or any LeSportsac purse.

The size dimensions for the width of this bag is wrong, it is more like 17 inches at the top and 13.5 at the bottom. Otherwise, this is a very nice bag. I use it for college and it fits my laptop, books, and almost anything else that I need. I love that it has a zippered top and pockets unlike other totes. It isn't heavy at all, it is weather proof, and it is very easy to clean.

Great sturdy lightweight bag will fit a 14" laptop, 1-2 schoolbooks / or notebook. Three front compartments for pens, Money, phones and the bag fits nicely on arm hits at hip - very comfortable and versatile.

LeSportsac Medium Travel Tote in Black Crinkle Patent. I bought this bag for business travel. The size is slightly bigger than a medium size bag. It holds that same amount as a Nylon Le Pliage Large tote, maybe a little more. I carry my mini iPad with keyboard, large wallet, and large bag organizer where I keep all the essentials for travel and work. I am also able to get my 13 inch work laptop in the bag. The three pockets on the outside hold my keys, eyeglass case and cellphone and small umbrella if needed. The back wall zip pockets hold a package of wet wipes for air travel use. I am very organized and I like this tote. This tote is a little heavier than the thinner LeSportsac bags. This bag material is a little thicker. I really like that you can lock the main interior zipper with a small travel lock which I also carry in my bag.The bag is comfortable on the shoulders, the straps are made of seat belt material and are wide and stay on the shoulders comfortably. The black patent is not to flashy but good with business attire. The bag is small enough to stow under airplane seats. I like this bag and will use for a long time to come and I do recommend this bag. The bag appears to be made well no strings hanging off, looks durable. With the bag organizer the bag doesn't collapse on itself. I can organize a little more in this bag than my Le Pliage but I love both bags. This bag is a good buy it does not feel flimsy or cheap. The black patent is slightly more dressy which I prefer for a more professional look and if you need more room than this medium to large bag, they have the bigger size. Hopes this review helps.

I have a few LeSportsac totes. I used them for my vacations to Mexico as a carry-on bag, empty it out when I get to my destination, and then use it as a beach tote. It's easily washable (line dry) and still looks like new. The extra outside pockets are a plus because they hold my passport, etc., without having to rummage through the bag. I highly recommend.

I love this bag...it's a great neutral and not too flashy. It's great for toting all of my stuff for day to day errands. It holds my planner, phone, wallet, make up bag, etc. I have also used this as a beach bag for a towel and suntan oil and flip flops. And has 3 pockets on the outside for lip balm, hand sanitizer and tissues for easy access! I have this same bag in black patent...and they are super lightweight and durable.

Although a little pricey, this bag will be really useful as a flight carry-on. The straps fit well for shoulder carries. The 3 outside zippered pockets are just the right size and my water bottle will fit in any one of them. The top zipper is very convenient. The roomy interior will hold my book, cosmetic case, smaller purse and several other items. It is a great tote. I like the jazzy, bright pattern. Zappos delivery is very dependable & fast.

This was a perfect size for my carry-on to Europe. It also was my day to day bag when lugging around 4 rain jackets for the family & an DSLR camera. I will add that I got caught in a torrential downpour for about 10 minutes and my camera did not get wet inside the bag (yay & phew!). Outside pockets worked great for my wallet & essentials. I also loved using it as a shopping bag at the local grocery stores. I can't say enough nice things about it, it really is a travel essential. Loved the little inner bag for organizing my smaller items too.

I love this bag. I bought it for the beach and pool. I had a LeSportsac previously, and this one is sturdier. Even though its not as large as a tote, its the perfect size. I fit one towel, a book, few magazines, sunscreen(s), and change of clothes. Love this bag, its worth the $.

I have been using my Black Medium Travel Tote primarily as a college bag for over a month, and so far I love it. The design is utilitarian and versatile yet sophisticated and non-descript (it does not scream expensive). The material is water resistant, so I do not have to worry about it in the rain. The straps are a sturdy and comfortable seatbelt material. The main compartment comfortably fits my folders, books, binders, tablet, water bottle, and umbrella. The top zipper also extends upwards if you need more space. It is easy to take things in/out throughout the day, and shove them all back in at the end of the night. The inner zipper pocket fits a small pouch, pocket planner, and a checkbook size wallet. The three outer zippered pockets are narrow but easily accessible, perfect for smaller items like snack bar, slim camera, slim sunglasses case, keys, cellphone, etc Also, one thing mentioned by other reviewers the black does not come with the removable pouch that the other colors do. But I have plenty of my own, so it is no big deal for me. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Impeccable fast and friendly service from Zappos as well.

This is a great bag... arrived just as pictured! Got it for my mom. She likes that there's a zipper on the top and zippers on the side as well and that it's not big but still spacious.

I use this as my "work bag," and lug a bunch of stuff in it every day. It is roomy; has ample compartment space on inside and great pockets on outside and inside. I'm pleased with purchase and so far the material has held up great and appears to be high quality.

This tote is great! I use it for a purse and it holds ALL I want with room for more. The pearl lightning color is a wonderful neutral shade with a bit of shine. It's so practical because it's lightweight, can be machine washed (hang to dry), and is durable. The straps fit comfortably over my shoulder. The 3 outside zip pockets and the 1 inside zip pocket add convenience. Having the entire tote close with a zipper adds security. The tote is well made with good quality materials. The only thing needed to improve this tote is to include the zipped accessory bag many LeSportsac Totes have.

I was looking for something to replace a beach bag I bought in St. Lucia 4 years ago. I just received this bag so I can't comment on durability but I think I will really like it. I ordered this bag in both the medium and large size and ended up keeping the medium. I not only use it for a beach bag, but use it any time I travel, either by car or plane. I like the size, material, and the pattern, and the fact that it has a zipper. Great bag!
