I am a shop foreman for a theater company as well as a master carpenter for several other theaters. I am sometimes on my feet for 16 hours at a time and spend a lot of my day going up and down ladders, kicking things into place and walking back and forth carrying heavy things and my feet take a beating! I recently fell and broke my toe so I was a little worried about these boots; however, even with a swollen broken toe these boots are amazing. They support my feet without being overly stiff and the lacing pattern allows me to make them fit exactly how I need them to. I also have very flat feet and these boots are a life saver!

Keen has done it again. I have loved all 14 pairs of my Keens. From my flip flops to my Work Boots. I continue to but and wear my Keens till they wear out which doesn't happen often. I'm on my feet 10 to 16 hours a day on construction sites as an inspector. These have been through snow rain dirt concrete hot asphalt and miles of freeway. And they continue to keep on keeping on. Dry and comfortable should be the name of the boot. This is my next pair and possibly the pair after that too. Love my Keens.

100% protection, total comfort, and rock solid support all wrapped up in one great looking work boot. What more could you ask for? I went up a 1/2 size from a 10 to a 10 1/2 for that extra pair of boot socks and the fit is perfect. I've already put this boot through the paces with several demanding jobs involving wood, water, and concrete, and these Pittsburgh Boots performed flawlessly. They're worth every penny - get 'em now!

I hated these boots the first week I wore them. Now, a year later, I hate them even worse. Several of my coworkers were adamant that these boots were great and that I needed to get a pair. I can't imagine how they could feel that way. I have dreaded putting these on every working day over the past year. I work 12 hour shifts, and by the end of every day my feet are destroyed. These boots don't breathe AT ALL. I can't emphasize this fact enough. There is no ventilation - wearing them is equivalent to keeping your foot sealed in a plastic bag. Secondly, they don't flex much, and they are quite heavy. Add these three factors together, and these boots are very unpleasant to wear.

Purchased this boot for landscaping work around the house after owning other types of work boots such as Timberland and Red Wings. These Keens are by far the most comfortable steel toe boots that I have ever worn. The tread pattern on the bottom is great, even when working in wet grass, I haven't lost traction yet!

I'm a civil engineer and had been unhappy with my steel boots for a while, but then I found these. My previous boots were always heavy, pinched my little toes, marginally waterproof at best, and just generally uncomfortable. So far these boots solve all those problems; very light for a steel toe boot, nice big toe box, totally waterproof, and comfortable. After a long day walking around in mud and muck my feet were still dry and comfortable. I highly recommend them to anyone needing safety boots.

Having been in the military I am used to wearing boots, and after a year of using these I have to say they are the most comfortable pair that I have owned in two decades. I have had Keen shoes in the past and bought these without realizing they were steel toe shoes, and I never would have guessed otherwise. At 350 pounds they support my feet on stairs and ladders without any flexing and I would recommend these to anyone that is looking for an all around outdoor or utility shoe. I'd buy another pair without question. I have got a pair of Herman Survivor combat boots I bought in Germany in 1986 that have been resoled time and again and lasted 25 years, and they were happily retired when I got the Pittsburgh boots.

These boots are just excellent. I get them less than a week ago to use them in the site where I'm working in Ukraine. They break in just 2 days and I even wear them back to my apartment walking through snow at -13 C. They feel stable and super comfortable you can't even feel the steel toe bothering your toes. I am a very demanding at the time I select a work shoes, these ones are just extremely good.

Good, comfortable boots. They are definitely waterproof. They don't need any breaking in period.

I have purchased just about every brand of boot there is for 27 years and I will tell you now, these are the best boots I have ever worn. Excellent quality and comfort. Waterproof, and easy to walk in. Unlike other clumsy, awkward and poor quality boots. I will highly recommend these to anyone that needs a utility boot. A must buy!

I bought these to deal with the very snowy and slushy NYC winters. I typically walk 2-3 miles a day in poorly plowed areas and these boots have definitely met the challenge. They look pretty good, the steel toe is good for kicking snow and ice away from my tires when I need to dig out my car and they are nearly 100% waterproof (I feel a *slight* dampness in my toe area if I'm out for long enough trudging through slush). They are warm and comfy, too.

I have several pair of Keens and love them for the most part, so I thought it might not be a stretch that I'd love their work boots. The Keens have a very rugged and sturdy feel and might even be a little lighter that most other steel toe work boots. They might work well for someone working outdoors as they have a pretty aggressive tread pattern. They also might work for someone who is only on their feet about 50% of the time, but for me they did not do. After a couple of weeks I was having trouble walking at all because of knee pain. So I'll stick with my Timberland Pro endurance.

Very nice looking boot both in construction and style. Came with a spare set of laces, bonus! Felt comfortable until laced tight. There is no padding in the ankle which was very painful on my ankles when I would step.

The soles on these boots are cheap. They started peeling and then broke off after 6 months of periodic wear. Zappos claims no responsibility and informed us that we have to deal with Keen directly. I wouldn't wish these boots on my worst enemy.

These boots lasted approximately six months before the sole developed a split. I would have expected longer wear from them. I am disappointed.

I work on a drilling rig, bought a pair of Keen Detroit's several months ago. They are the best yet, why does the right shoe come untied all the time, I have to use a square knot. I'll order the Pittsburgh Next, N. Bates. Toolpusher.

I have had these boots for about a year and wear them everyday to work. They are by far the most comfortable work boots I have ever owned. They are light, but provide good support. The uppers were very stiff when I first got them. I had to lace the uppers very loosely until they got broken-in. A coworker didn't even lace the uppers until the boots were broken-in, but he too thinks they are very comfortable now. I would highly recommend these and am actually thinking of getting a pair of low top Keen Utility next.

A co-worker called one day and told me he found the most comfortable steel toed boots. They were the Keen brand so I went on line and ordered a pair of the Keen Utility Pittsburg boot. Zappos shipped them that day and I had them 2 days later. Right out of the box they fit comfortably. A great pair of work boots at a great price!

I have worked in a chemical plant for years and steel toe work boots are a requirement. After seeing a co-worker with a pair of Keen Utility Boots and having him recommend them I decided to try them. I can honestly say they are the most comfortable steel-toed work boot I have ever worn. They are very light, and there is no "break-in", just slip them on, lace them up and go. They are waterproof, lightweight and stylish. I will definitely get another pair. And with Zappos' great service I will be buying them from them again.

These boots rock! I have also worn Wolverine and Timberland, these are better. They were very comfortable from the moment I put them on and finally a steel toe that is not so bulky. I have two issues. The first was the ankles took a long time to break in. I've worn the boot almost every day for 3 weeks and they are finally broken in. Secondly, I put these boots on at halftime for the Super Bowl and this did not lead to a Steeler victory.

This boot rocks! I have tried almost every brand of boot available and this is far and away the best I have bought. Light, comfortable and excellent traction. Just what I would expect from Keen.

Terrific shoe. Extremely well made, but heavy due to steel toe. If you need a tough boot you can't go wrong with this product. Like the fact that it came in a wide width so I could wear a heavy sock with a liner. Waterproof lining is a bonus.

Great boots. Look great. Feel great, a little snug for marked width. Not very warm though. I love them.
