I bought this bread maker to be convenient in making bread but while mixing, the mixer bowl automatically pops up and did not mixes the dough properly. Our first bread was a failure. On our second one, we hold the mixer bowl in its place to prevent it from popping up. Finally it did come out well. Keep on holding the mixer bowl while kneading is not a solution to this problem so we wrote and inquiry to the product maker (Cuisinart Customer Service) and they didn't reply to my query until now. What a poor service!

We do not make too much bread, but we make a lot of 1.5 pound pizza dough. Our machine is only about 2 years old, and already the motor is straining. My wife has a quality "mixer" so we'll be using that for pizza dough when we toss this machine out. I did think this model was pretty to use, for what we did with it. Would have like to have gotten four years out of it.

I am really disappointed in this bread maker. I have tried using it a hand full of times, breads fall or they do not bake evenly. I have made dough (for pizza and such) and half of the time it does not mix properly. I am tired of wasting good quality ingredients on this machine!

I jst wasted more ingredients and time making yet another load of bread and it was a complete failure. Little flat loaf with the paddle out of sight in the loaf. I make wonderful bread with my Panasonic. This machine has so many steps to follow and is not easy to understand. It is a piece of expenseive junk and I expected the best with the name. I would not buy another Cuisinart product even though I am pleased with their coffee maker.

This Cuisinart CBK-200 Convection Bread maker is the greatest! I love the way it mixes, kneads and bakes my gluten free bread. Zappos' completed my order in lightning speed and everything was perfect. Thank you Zappos!

Love it! It is so easy to use! This is my first experience with a bread maker and it is wonderful! So easy to use everything comes out perfect so far. I use the light crust setting the medium was a little dark but it's fantastic. Throw a few things in and let it go! It is a little big but worth it! Love Zappos great customer service as always!

This is my first bread maker so i may not be qualified enough to give a review. Nonetheless it gets the job done. On Performance: If you want some simple bread to start your day this machine do quite a good job. The bread's taste didn't seem to depend so much on the machine. It depends on your recipe. The texture, however, may depend on the machine. If you are really hardcore about the texture you may be better off beating/kneading the dough manually (rigorously) or use the KitchenAid standup mixer (it's got more torque!). On Aesthetics: This machine comes with brushed stainless steel, which is awesome. However the black plastic trim feels a bit cheap. There are not too many stainless steel ones out there (the other cool option is the Breadman BK1060S Breadmaker).
I'd also recommend:

I did a lot of research on bread makers before I settled on this one and I'm really happy I chose this model. It's working great for me, I've make about 5 loaves of bread week since I've received it. Keep in mind, there are bad reviews floating around for this model, 2010 or sooner. I suspect they improved the machine without renaming it. Zappos had the best price I could find w/o the machine being refurbished.

I make bread all the time. This bread machine is awesome. I have bought more expensive brands in the past but this one is better. The cookbook that comes with it is very good but you can use any recipe you can find. The instructions tell you how to do this. You never need to buy a bread machine mix. The only improvement would be if the outside was not stainless steel so it would be easier to clean and if it was more retro in styling.

I actually bought this off of Craig's List and used it for the first time tonight. Yesterday, I drove over to Bob's Red Mill and picked up bread supplies and so I was excited to tryout my first loaf of bread from this machine. At first, I had trouble getting the paddle to mix but once I figured out how to lock it down, the mixing, needing and rising were perfect. The only thing I would say is that I set it to medium color crust and had to turn it off about eight minutes early because it was getting more brown than expected.
