I ordered these shoes in my measured size and they fit well. The sides come up a bit higher than some other shoes and seem to provide a bit more ankle support. The shoes are comfortable to walk in. I have worn these in dry weather, snow, rain, and mud. My feet stayed dry in all instances. A minor complaint is that the shoes don't seem to breathe well. When worn in the office, I notice my feet feel a little bit damp by mid-afternoon. Maybe it's function of the waterproofing. In any case, these have been very good shoes for the month I have had them. I hope they are as durable as the Dunham boots I wore for most of my 4 years of college.

Based on previous reviews, we went with 1/2 size up his usual (10EE) shoe size. The EE width was perfect but actually had to order 1/2 size down to 9-1/2EE. Perfect fit and support from day one being on my feet 10hours a day. Will be ordering a second pair because finding comfortable shoes for high arch and wide feet is not easy!

I had originally ordered this shoe in size 10.5 (my size in Clarks shoes) and extra extra wide, 6E. The shoe was just a bit too short, although the width was perfect. So I ordered a second pair in size 11 with a 6E width and they fit perfectly. So I think these shoes run a little small in length, at least that was my experience.

Best, most durable shoes I ever owned. I wear one pair of shoes 90% of the time that I wear shoes. I do a lot of walking on rough terrain and these shoes hold up. I am buying a new pair today only because the heels are wearing through. The uppers are still perfect.; the shoes are still comfortable.

This shoe fits me fine and is comfortable. I have very wide feet ( 4.75 inches) and Dunham shoes are the only ones that fit me well. When my foot is measured it shows I am a size 14 but no shoe I have bought in size 14 fits. I always have to go up a size or two to get the correct width. For the Dunham to get the width that is comfortable I get size 16/6E. It is not too long and is the best fitting shoe I have had. The only shoe I will purchase in the future is Dunham and I will get them from Zappos.

Propet makes a nice big shoe but Dunham offers 6E.

Have a long narrow foot. My wife ordered five pairs of brown casual shoes for me to try. These were the ones that felt best. I put them on and we went out to dinner. Came home and realized I had not even thought about my feet. Total comfort. Style is nice for me. Perfect shopping experience, because I did not have to go to several stores to even find my size.

I ordered these in a narrow - one of the few men's shoes that comes in width B and does not cost $300+! They are made by New Balance, so I was confident of the manufacturing. Fit is excellent - this is a very comfortable shoe. I originally bought them to wear to the office in bad weather, but am wearing them almost constantly at this point. They look good with almost everything and the sole is not noticeable as a "hiking" sole. I will buy a pair in black soon. I highly recommend these shoes. I gave them 5 stars across the board.

Nice shoe but I had to return them. I usually wear a D but these shoes in D were too narrow.

These shoes are awesome! I ended up buying a pair in each color. The 6E fit is perfect. Well worth the money.

I did order, but did not keep these shoes. I loved their appearance, unfortunately I have a very wide foot and the 4E was not wide enough.

Liked the shoes, but the 4E width was much narrower than I am used to. Unfortunately, the 6E was not available. Was able to exchange the shoes by phone without having to pay for the return shipping and was given an advance credit for the returned shoe in order to purchase the new item. Both the original and replacement purchases arrived (for free) in two days.

These are great shoes for those of us with narrow feet. Stay away from the black polished leather version. My wife and daughter both preferred the nubuck or brown.

Nice comfortable shoe, but no arch support. I added inserts from old shoes and they felt 90% better. With new inserts they should feel really good.

Sizing is tighter than other Dunham shoes I have purchased. Could be just the pair I received. They look good and they are very comfortable. They seem to be water-sealed as described too.

The shoes seem great but the laces that came with the shoes are NOT great. No matter what I try, the laces will not stay tied. Laces feel very waxy. I thought things would improve after two weeks, but no such luck. I emphasize, shoes become TOTALLY untied after five minutes. I did not have this problem with previous Dunham shoes.

Fit, size and style were fine--it was the quality. Bought these, wore them for abut 12 days, and the bottom of the sole started coming apart. Zappos took care of the issue (thank you!) and the manufacturer sent a different pair. Wore them but watched the sole at the end of every day. Same problem! Returning, and looking for a different shoe....Obviously there is a quality issue--too bad, because the previous pair of Dunhams are 7 years old and have none of this type of issue.

I wanted shoes just like my Dad wears. I needed something comfortable because I have bad feet...they always ache. The first pair that I ordered was too big, so I sent them back. The second paid fits perfectly! Now I have something comfortable to putz around the office in. Thanks Dunham!

the shoes fit my feet; however there was some stitching in the left shoe that rubbed my foot raw.

Very disappointing. The sides of the shoes are much too tall and poke underneath my ankles on both sides so the shoes are too painful to walk in. I bought them in a 6 E width, but there wasn't enough depth in the toe box to fit my toes into the shoes. Overall, very uncomfortable and poorly designed.

Way overpriced. Within the first three months, one of the metal aglets (metal thingies surrounding the shoelace holes) came loose and then the small leather shoelace hole broke open when I was tying my shoelaces. Now, I have to re-lace my shoes without using that hole. Also, one of the shoes started squeaking when I walk. For this price, I could have bought three comparable quality pairs of walking shoes from "lesser" brands. Avoid!

The shoe itself appears to be fine; however, it fits more tightly than the same size Dunham shoe that i currently wear
