I absolute LOVE this skirt! I am not a runner, but a walker, golfer, boater and I wear this skirt all of the time, even to just shop or run errands. I have ordered 5 skirts! Love them all!

When I travel in European cities I need a little more dressed up look than shorts. This gives me shorts function but skirt look. I've tried lots of skorts that don't work -- too short in length; shorts ride up legs; back of skirt sticks to legs; too narrow with a pencil skirt appearance. This fabric is lightweight enough that if I spill on it I can rinse it out and it will be dry by morning. I liked it so much I bought one for my sister.

This is a great summer skirt! I don't usually spend this much on anything, but it's well worth it. Will live in it all summer. It's comfortable and cute. Both the M and L fit me, although I decided on the L because it was a bit more forgiving (the M skirt looked good but the shorts underneath were too skin-tight for my taste). The L skirt is a little large as a result but it works (I'm 5'4" and 145 lbs). Shorts are snug but not uncomfortable, and they don't ride up at all, whether I'm running, hiking, playing bocce, riding roller coasters, or anything else. Washes well too.

Great fit and length for a 50+ year old woman who is not a skinny girl. Every other tennis skirt I've seen is too short. This is comfy and roomy without being baggy or sloppy.

Great skort for hiking or biking! Interior shorts are long enough so they don't creep up when active and thin enough to be non-intrusive. Classy looking enough to go from the bike into the bar without looking out of place. My only complaint about this skirt is that the waistband is a bit thin/flimsy, rolling over when active. But it's a GREAT fit, well made - well worth the extra $$$ compared to the cheaper brands.

This is a great running skirt. It has got a little flounce to it. I put it on and took it for a 5K run. No rubbing. Comfortable fit. Relatively modest length. I love it!

This is such a great, versatile skirt! I first bought the skirt to golf in because it is a perfect length and it has great pockets where I can keep an extra ball or golf tees, but now I wear this skirt hiking, tooling around town...you name it! So comfortable, great colors, great length for those that want just a little extra!

I wear this skirt all the time. It's great for every day, casual lunch out with the girls, even for a run. And it looks great on. Love it!

Great skirt. Very comfortable. The mesh shorts feel light and don't ride up. Love the three pockets. It's dressy enough to wear out. It seems to run a smidge large.

I am 5'4", 155 #, so I ordered this in 2 sizes: a large & an extra-large, knowing that one or the other would fit. Happily, the large fits and I can tell that as I lose another 10# I will need to order a medium. This skirt is sleek & slimming and I don't feel as though I have everything hanging out for everyone to see when I run.

I have several items from Skirt Sports, but for me I like the Happy Girl skirt better than the Gym Girl Ultra. I like the extra length in the skirt and the compression shorts. My only complaint is that the elastic in the skirt is not strong enough to keep the skirt up when I run on the treadmill and the skirt is not too big. In order to take care of this problem I have someone put in heavier elastic. Once that is done it's my favorite workout gear.

It is longer than I thought it would be, almost to my knees on my 5'1" frame. I love the fit otherwise and the colors are fun to wear with everything. It feels like swimsuit material, so know that it is pretty casual.

Love this! I've tried a ton of skorts, and this is the first one where the shorts stayed in place. It's also a nice length for someone who hasn't worn a lot of shorts in the last ... 20 years. But I'm down 25 pounds, and this will probably get me through the next 20. Love all the pockets. LOVE! The waistband is a little odd, but I'm getting used to it. Pretty sure this cute skort got me through 11 minute miles (walking) this AM. Fastest time w/ neighbor yet!

First, I am a 14-16 and got xl (14-16) and it was way way too small. I also got a 2XL (18-20) and that did fit. Secondly, the waistband does not lie flat since it is not stitched in place. Instead, the facing, a different color, rolls up. What a disappointment, since the skort is comfy and flattering when you can't see the waistband. Would have still kept for that reason but found better options.

I ordered this in a small, first, too tight. I normally wear a 4 to 6 and the shorts were uncomfortably tight. I returned the small and ordered the medium, better. The shorts could be a little more stretchy and comfortable, but it is so cute, I am keeping it.

I agree with the other reviewers that the fit around the waistline was loose. After running ~3 miles the skirt stayed up just fine (sweat?). I will keep the skirt but will also continue looking for that "perfect" fit.

This was a cute skort and the price was right, but it ran extremely small so I returned it.

Very comfortable and nice, but the shorts underneath are very long--if you don't hike them up, they show below the skirt!

I ordered this longer version of another Skirt Sports skort that I wear for tennis. This was primarily for wearing on a trip combining hiking and sightseeing. This has the same major irritating problem as the other one: I am constantly pulling it up. Don't know if that's because it's supposed to be "mid-rise" (which I imagine a lot of older women hate) or if it's just my body -- but I wish with all my heart they would make a skort that stays in place. I got a Patagonia skort for the same trip and it's wonderfully comfortable -- except that the shorts are too flimsy and tend to ride up into my crotch. If Skirt Sports made a skort that was truly comfortable for a very imperfect mature body, or if Patagonia put Skirt Sports-type shorts under their skort -- I'd buy about five and probably not bother ever buying actual shorts. But as it is ... both styles are an uncomfortable compromise.

I received this item today. I am 5'6" tall and wear a 6-8 or medium. The length was just a bit too short for me. I am 50 and thought that it would hit me about an inch or so longer. The shorts are very comfortable however the skirt waist is not very comfortable and not very flattering as other skorts that I own. It is a thin elastic band not as shown in the picture or it is a bit deceiving looking. I am returning this one but also ordered a dress by the same company and love it. If the waist were different I would be keeping this item.

I'm 5'5" and 135# and the M was too snug around the tummy. Also, the leggings are longer than the skirt. The skirt material was flimsy. Very disappointed. I expected something much cuter and more sturdy.

thought the material was not thick enough- front is kind of floaty- there are much better skirts out there

I ordered the persevere (black and white one) and while the style was great the shorts were itchy. It felt like polyester with no air flow.

I wanted to love this. I am med/large so ordered large to be comfortable on vacation. The waist was a little tight, but the shorts underneath were VERY tight and my legs are not huge. So disappointed bc its really cute and lightweight. Returning.

I loved the extra length of the attached shorts. However, the material of the longer skirt added to the weight of the skort. It also felt loose/larger after just one wash. I could not bear it after just 10 minutes of running. It is a painful waste of money. I would not recommend it for running or speed walking. I am not sure that I will even chance it on an elliptical. I will demote it to just post-gym grocery shopping.
