Great shorts! My husband really loves them. The only thing he mentioned was that the wax on the shorts is coming off on to his light leather seats, which makes it look dark/dirty. Strange. Other than that he loves the look/wear of the shorts.

If you carry gear with you, then these shorts are perfect. Plenty of room, lightweight, fit like board shorts and they breathe well. All the pockets are sewn in, so no lumpy pockets that need ironing after washing. Easy washing in the field, just hang to dry and in less then 30 minutes on a sunny day, there dry and ready to wear. Highly recommend.

Excellent product from Kuhl as usual! They fit true to size and are extremely comfortable and very durable. I especially like the cargo pocket design with the zippers that tuck away. Overall great pair of shorts and worth the price.

Very comfortable lightweight shorts. Well constructed. My only minor complaint would be that the waistband needs a couple more belt loops, as the shorts can 'droop' if my belt is loose (not a good look for a 60+ man, as one can imagine). Pockets are roomy, but not excessive. Snap button does stay closed, but I did order a slightly larger waist size - this could be problematic if you order a snug fit.

My first pair of Kuhl Ambush shorts fell apart after light wear. The replacement pair fell apart after the first wash. I have had three pairs of Kuhl pants and two pairs of shorts. One pair of pants and both pairs of shorts fell apart. Kuhl has no quality control and I will never purchase them again. I did receive good service from Zappos.

The Kuhl Ambush cargo shorts have a generous fit, working ventilation system, and excellent cargo pockets. By far the best pocket layout of any Kuhl item that I have tried on or owned. These factors with the gusseted crotch make them the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn. Unfortunately, the waist band lining is pulling away from the back of the snap. This may because of the French fly snap closure Kuhl uses instead of a superior button closure. I am afraid that they are not durable like the Kuhl Crag Runners I own that began to disintegrate after light use. Additionally, I do not appreciate the patina color process. The Gun Metal color I ordered, which resembles parkerized metal, is mellowing and streaking with each wash. I am not a hippie. I want comfortable and durable shorts. The Ambush shorts met one part of my criteria. I am disappointed and likely will not order any Kuhl product. If you can afford such expensive disposable shorts buy these and enjoy them while they last.

Awesome shorts. They fit well, look good and are very comfortable. My only complaint about Kuhl is that they don't last all that long. Every once in a while a belt loop will break or a rip will show up along a seam. I'm not sure why this happens as I'm not tough on clothes. It's not happened to THIS pair but I've been buying Kuhl clothing for years and they'd rate a three if ZAPPOS added a durability rating.

I now own 2 pairs of these awesome shorts. They are the most comfortable stylish shorts I have ever worn. I highly recommend them.

These shorts fit the bill for my 6'4" frame in regards to inseam, are well made and comfortable. Initially hesitated on price but after prior experiences searching for rugged comfotable shorts have no regrets.

Great shorts. Just the right length for me, just on the knee cap. Waist size right on.

Great fit and excellent fabric. The shorts run a little long I'm 5'9 and it hits below my knees.

These are very sturdy, lightweight, well designed and built shorts. I don't like the long leg, 8-10" would be better for me. I also like warm wash, not cold. But everything else about them is great. The pockets are the best. The zipper is better than buttons and hook and loop closures. I tried the other versions, but this one suits me best. Highly recommend them, from Zappos, of course!

Love the fit and functionality of these shirts. I've purchased at least 6 pairs. They dry quick and have adequate storage. They look good on too.

My son loves these and will order two more pairs, but needed to get a larger size due to the waist being a little sung. He normally wears 32 will go up to a 33.

I purchased the Kuhl shorts for my son-in-law for Christmas. He appreciates the quality and fit of Kuhl. I can attest to his satisfaction as he wore them to my home on Christmas! Lovin the New England mild temperatures. He was cool in his Kuhl!!

Kuhl shorts are among the best overall shorts I have owned. They are very comfortable and well fitting, with lots of pockets in just the right places, unlike other typical cargo shorts with the big flappy pockets on the front or sides.

I already love these cargo shorts, great fit and very comfortable. Like the fact they have odd sizes, very helpful for a great fit.

These are really nice cargo shorts. They fit true to size and have the perfect length hitting right above the knee cap. After a couple of washings they are feeling softer. Zappos got them here super quick as usual.

These shorts have so much going for them. I now have 4 pairs of them...very good looking, lots of pockets. I like the front zipper pockets instead of a big button pocket. Would like more colors.

Kuhl makes some great shorts! This is my second pair from them and the Kuhl Krux shorts are great also. Would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality product that wears great.

These shorts are terrific. Very light so they don't weigh you down and dry quickly. Also they are very durable. I've already taken these on a couple long hikes and they performed very well. I ordered two pair and may get another.

Fantastic cargos. Great for hiking, and an all star around town. My favourite go to short for sure. Great pocket design and ballistic like a tank. I've taken these hiking and traveling and they are my preferred short on a trip . Worth what you pay for them, no drawbacks. Great fit.
