Keen McKenzie is the perfect warm weather shoe for me. I love the easy on and off, the lightness of the shoe and the shoe string system.

These are cool, dry, and comfortable, yet provide substantial protection and agility. These are my favorite shoes and I wear them most of the week. I adjusted the cords when I opened the box, and have not touched them since. I have very square toe shape feet, and this is the best fit I have found. After 40 years of wearing Birkenstocks, these rival the comfort, yet my feet are much safer, and water or most any other adverse environment is fairly do-able. Put on wool socks in the snow!

I had read the reviews on these Keens, and was not too sure that I would end-up liking them. Boy was I wrong, as they are a another great Keen model. The shoe is extremely light and comfortable, yet the sole is very durable. They slip on like a loafer and adjust like the Keen Newport H2. The shoe has generous room inside and tends to run a little wide. I would say they are true to size or a little larger. They are perfect with the "no-show" style socks.

Merrell shoes are nice as well, but I love Keens.

Absolutely love the shoe; only wish they made this exact shoe with a waterproof inside like the H2 has instead of the stupid insole.

I'm a die hard Keen fan. These are the lightest I've owned, possibly even lighter than my sandals. The mesh keeps my feet comfortable even on hot days. The shoe is a little wide at the toe pads, giving it a slight flipper look. The cinch is non-elastic, so if there is significant slack, you have to pull pretty hard to get it tight. The rim at the ankle is elasticized, however, so it holds the foot in comfortably. Overall, they feel very open inside the shoe, but since they fit well and stay on, that is fine. Be aware that there is less sole support than in a heavier shoe. These feel more like walking in slippers.

I bought these shoes to replace worn Keen Newport sandals. I thought I'd wear them in and out of the water. Well, I quickly realized they don't really keep the rocks out. In fact they keep them in whereas with the Newport you can easily dislodge any debris from beneath your foot. Also, after that first weekend at the lake during which they never had a chance to dry, they reeked. Really bad. Much worse than any Keen's I've ever had. Part of the problem is the fabric insole. It retains water and grows microbes. So I washed them with a little bleach. Now they're fine but I don't wear them in the water. Otherwise they're a good airy summer shoe. Also you can wear socks with these sandals without looking goofy.

The Keen McKenzie shoes are awesome! It was exactly what I had expected! My only worry prior to the purchase was the sizing of the shoe. Most online reviews stated that you should buy a half size smaller than you normally would. In my case, I purchased a size 9.5 instead of my normal 10. It fits perfectly!

This shoe is sick...just make sure you leave them outside to dry otherwise they will stink.

This is a great amphibian hiking shoe. There is very little water absorption so they dry quickly. I use them year round -- in winter I put it inside Neo's Overshoe. I can ford streams without socks, and power dry them with cut off seal skinz. The heel is soft allowing it to flip down quickly making, it a clog slip-on for padding around camp; this makes them great from hammock use. Hydrophobic open mesh keeps pebbles out. The wide toebox is great; I like the Newport Trails model rather and Voyagers. The light weight is a great improvement for Keens. My size 11½ are 12 oz each without insoles. Half a size smaller than usual worked for me.

I like these shoes. They are on the lighter side for Keens. Great for just wearing around and in the water. Mine ran a little large for the size. Good quality and workmanship. Zappos customer service and shipping are simply the greatest!

Like all my Keens, these are instantly comfortable and provide excellent traction and stability. They also tend to run a little large. Go at least a half size down - especially if you plan to wear them without socks.

Wonderful shoe. Used for a combination of hiking through rivers and creeks, through brush along the side of rivers and creeks, and for canyoneering. Amazing grip in water and on sandstone. Great protection, great comfort, highly recommended.
Tried Chacos and they destroyed my feet, and had little traction. These are the opposite.

Great beach shoes. Wore them on 8 mile hike from Clearwater Beach, Florida to Caladesi Island State Park and back. They were very cool and comfortable. I wear them around town on warm days. I will buy another pair if they ever wear out.

I've had problems with other water shoes in the past because the open sides would allow rocks to get into the shoes in certain settings so I decided to gives these a try. The mesh in these shoes did the trick. I love all of my Keens and these are no exception. As always, the support from Zappos is awesome!

A very comfortable shoe, very lite weight and flexible. They are a little scratchy on the top of your foot when you first wear them without socks, but break in very quickly. I was also surprised that they are very comfortable with socks on, too.

Comfortable and light - just perfect for the desert southwest. Initially purchased the Newports, but found the straps on top very uncomfortable because of a bunion on right foot. Sent them back and asked for credit. Found the McKenzie and it was shipped immediately next day without an additional charge to my card. Got them the very next day, put them on, and wow are they comfortable. Will be great for walking the golf course or just plain walking around. I've found a new favorite. I ordered a half size larger than my foot actually measures and they fit great. A little loose in the heel, but once used to it - no problem. Thanks Zappos.

This shoe is very light and comfortable. However, the arch support was not what I have found in other Keen shoes (I have 5 pair). This shoe almost feels like a bedroom slipper, but is wonderful for taking strolls on the beach on using in my kayak. I am thinking of getting new insoles to try and improve the feeling of support.

No more swamp feet. These shoes look great with a pair of darker socks and long pants. To the casual observer they are shoes but they breathe like sandals. They need better arch support however.

Wore these on a pretty rugged canoe trip. They're great shoes and I love that they can get wet, since I was in and out of the water a lot. They dry out pretty quickly and provide good support and foot protection while hiking. The mesh upper helps on land, but when you're wading through water it also traps lots of pebbles and sediment, which means frequent stops to pull out the soles and rinse out the shoes. Also, my girlfriend has a pair of McKenzies and we both got blisters near our big toes, where the rubber tip meets the rest of the material. Overall though, a fine shoe that will make most day trips and hikes go a lot better, especially if you're near water. I would recommend.

I love the shoe. It's very light and cool. It does not feel like a sandal at all, but I like that. I wear socks in them and get a perfect fit. It may be a bit too loose for daily use with no socks.

This is my second pair of Keen water shoes. Not sure what model the other pair was but they were certainly more shoe-like than these. These are not very supportive at all. I'm not faulting them for that since they are more of a full sandal as opposed to a full shoe. I wish the heel area and the material around the ankle was a little more substantial. The mesh fabric seems to be pretty flimsy too. Because of all of this, these will be relegated to swimming and kayaking only. I will not be wearing these for any length of time. On the flip side, the toe is great, the size is right (I buy a full size larger), and these will work great for what they are designed for. I will certainly buy more Keen's in the future. I may go after more shoe-like styles though.

I use these for sailing and absolutely love them. It drains water freely, and doesn't hurt my feet after two hours of sailing. The only cons are I feel they are a little loose and I have to cinch the strings tight and they aren't the most stylish with the big black rubber toe guard (but it works). Would definitely buy this shoe again.

These shoes are great on hot days, the mesh keeps your feet cool. I like the fit, the design allows a wide toe area which helps if you're in between sizes. My only complaint is that the mesh on the shoes is pretty stiff - if you wear them without socks for a while they will rub the skin off the sides of your feet - ouch.

I bought these shoes for an Outdoor Adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The adventure featured hiking as well as wading in water so I needed something amphibious. These shoes worked well and were pretty comfortable, but they let a lot of little rocks into the shoe which became a bit of a problem. They were better than the old sneakers that my friends wore since at least these shoes dried pretty quickly.
