I love these shoes! I am in the military and log a lot of miles running over varied terrain. I have found that the ASICS Gel-Evolution 6 is the only stability shoes that keep my overpronation and fallen arches under control. I completely dislocated my ankle a couple of years ago and these shoes have made it possible for me to run injury free--no more rolled ankles for me. Thanks Zappos for carrying ASICS; and ASICS keep making the Gel-Evolution 6!

Absolutely the most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn. No breaking in needed. I am overweight and an overpronater, and these maximum support shoes provide stability but still feel very flexible. I only wish they came in different colors; the grey is just a bit blah. I ordered a half size larger to allow for plenty of toe room and this is exactly what I needed. My foot has a medium arch and this shoe has great arch support.

Just got these and I love them! As soon as I put them on I knew I didn't need insoles for extra arch support. I bought these running shoes after reading my Fitness magazine. They were the winner as the top running shoes for extra stability and shock absorption! Happy that Zappos had them. I just bought another pair!

I work out a lot but I'm a fairly new runner and I overpronate. I purchased 6 pairs of shoes from Zappos that I read about from Runnersworld that were highly recommended for women for overpronaters. These were the best. They cushioned my feet, gave me the arch support my foot doesn't have, and were comfortable for running right out of the box. Although some of the others had better color combinations, these were the best shoes hands down.

Just like the previous Gel Evolutions, these fit me well and the run feels light as well as controlled. I don't get the aches I would from experimenting with other models.

I really like this shoe! I have no arch and it gave me great support. They also didn't need any breaking in and I was able to run with them on the first day I received them! Great motion-control shoe and I highly recommend them! They may not be the cutest things, but they will get the job done and make running a little bit easier. Thanks Asics!

Not very attractive, but I never knew my feet could feel good after a run! Great support.

I absolutely love these shoes! As a former sufferer of low back pain, these shoes for over pronators saved me! I am not a runner, but a serious walker, logging in several miles per day. I appreciate how light these shoes feel, how they seem to cradle my feet, and I especially like the soft heel strike. A winner, I have just purchased a second pair.

It is often hard for me to find a good pair of running shoes that don't hurt my feet. This is my third pair and I will keep buying them as long as they have them in stock. I run a couple times a week and do lots of stair stepper/cross trainer type exercises daily and these work great.

I love Asics shoes and this did not disappoint. It is super padded and comfortable. I always order a 7W and this one fit as all the others before did. I like the Asics narrower inside heel which hugs my narrow heels well.

I am a lean 5 foot 9 inch, 55 year old woman and I have long and narrow feet. These shoes are a very good fit for me. I am also a pronator, and these shoes offer good stability. Note, I am a runner and fast walker and put no at least 7 - 10 miles a day with these shoes. I will be buying another pair again in the future. I think I have finally found my match!

I love these shoes! They felt great right out of the box. I also like the neutral color. They make the treadmill a better experience for me!

So lightweight and comfortable, they fit perfectly, but I order a half size larger to give my foot more room during my workouts. The best!

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever tried on. As soon as I put them on, they felt like they were made for my feet. They also provide great support. I would totally recommend these shoes. My roommate saw mine, tried them on and now owns a pair herself. Great purchase!

Love these shoes! Usually wear the Gel 2160, but like these even more. I have a high arch and wide feet - these fit and feel great. I like to powerwalk 5-10 miles and this shoe works for me.

These shoes are very comfortable. I enjoy running in them. They aren't the cutest shoes, but I'll choose comfort over fashion when it comes to working out any day!

I have worn these for years, if you have a slender foot and hardly an arch these will help keep you from knee pain. I have an old injury, and must use a walk run interval which I do outside on a trail. Your feet will get wet on damp days as the top is designed to breathe which does let in moisture. Great shoe would not buy anything but!

Finally, a neutral color that goes with everything! Perfect shoe post-bunionectomy, too!

Love the shoe. Support is so good I can skip my orthopedics for Y workouts and classes. A big plus for me. I passed on Gel Evolution 5 as toe box was too big. 6's toe box is a return is closer in fit to the 4, I think. Thank goodness! I'd like a few more color choices, though. Very supportive shoe and comfortable.

have put hundreds of miles on the Asics Evolution series. They are comfortable shoes with great support, and I have never had lower body injuries in them. That said, these are quite heavy and feel sloppy in the toe box. For this reason I have moved from these shoes into stability shoes. If you have had injuries, or if you are a heavier runner, take these for a spin. It also bears noting that although these shoes have great arch support, you cannot feel the arch support. Compare this to the Brooks, where I can always feel the support under my arch and find that feeling annoying. As such, depending on your arches, you might prefer the Asics Evolution over comparable motion control shoes from other brands.

All round supportive, moderate supportive arch (therefore, 4 stars), very good cushioning, good color combo (nice and neutral).

After trying a couple sizes on I had to give up on the shoe because it bothered me in the midfoot so much. Even in a 4E they would still hurt my feet. They have really good cushioning, but I would not be able to deal with the way they felt. Now I'm just going to drop the money, and get a pair of Brooks Beast.

This is an excellent supportive shoe, very comfortable too. Unfortunately it looks like a man's shoe. It needs a little color at least probably to make it a bit more feminine.

I bought these shoes for running. I have flat feet so wanted something with a lot of support. They wore out quickly and were very heavy with a thick sole (as most shoes for flat feet tend to have). After reading up on barefoot running, I decided to purchase a pair of Merrells. These shoes are great! No more chunky shoes for me! After trying my Asics on after using the Merrells for a few weeks I cannot go back, I feel like I am wearing bricks on my feet with those huge soles!
