Does not work with orthotics. This is a nice shoe, but be warned that it doesn't really work with orthotics. The first problem is that the insole is glued in, and it's extremely difficult to tear out. So if you intend on replacing the insoles with your own insoles or orthotics, think about getting a different shoe. Even if you manage to get the insole out (which I did, after much difficulty) it still doesn't work with orthotics because orthotics tend to lift your foot higher than regular insoles, and there isn't enough room in this shoe for that.

Initially, I was pleased with these shoes: they look good and they have a bit of cushion. Yet they did not hold up to walking around London for a week - my feet hurt enough to buy insoles at the nearest drugstore. So I wouldn't recommend them if you actually walk more then a mile per day. 1 year after buying them, they haven't held up very well. The leather toe cap has started peeling away, with loose threads on the front of both shoes. Since these are mostly mesh and suede, it's difficult to get them looking new again. I don't like to write a negative review. They look great when you first get them, but they're just not made to last.

I have several pairs of Tigers (Ultimate 81, Mexico 66, etc), but I think the Serrano is my favorite. It's definitely the most comfortable. Very lightweight, comfortable shoe! I got the navy Serranos yesterday, took them out of the box this morning and wore them all day. They feel great! Like most of the other Asics Tigers, the Serrano runs a half size small, at least in woman's sizes.

This is my first pair of Serrano's by Asics. I own several pairs of the Ultimate 81's and a pair of Mexico 66's by Asics, and the Serrano is my favorite of all Asics' low profile shoes. The Serrano has a cushy sole, super light weight, and flexibility unmatched. Another thing I love about the Serrano is that it's the one shoe style by Asics that doesn't make my feet feel too hot. The mesh on the sides and top is breathable and airy. All I hope for are more colors. Please don't discontinue this Asics model! I love the yellow/black and the charcoal gray. Looking into buying black/white/yellow also.

If a person likes a low profile shoe and likes the Asics shoe brand, then this shoe will rock for you. I currently own 4 different types of Asics and this one is now my favorite. Quality construction and almost barefoot feel. My only concern would be to get one's shoe size to fit accurately. I am normally a size 10 but these style of shoe run one size big, so I wear a size 9 here.

Zappos exclusive! Black color: Loved the shoe for kickboxing and Krav Maga but it started coming apart at the right outer seam within a month. Zappos was great and offered me an exchange, I chose the same item hoping it was just a defective pair. The replacement pair did the same thing. Had to return them again and am bummed but am done with this shoe. Maybe it's just the mesh ones (the entire shoe is not leather, just the Asics logo on the side).

First pair of Onitsuka Tigers. They're really light and flexible. And as far as sneakers go, they are pretty sharp looking. Sole is cushiony and comfy and offers good traction in the dry. They have a really nice firm, springiness to them. Haven't worn them in the rain yet, so I can't say how they'll do in the wet. They feel super durable, especially the nylon, and I feel like they will wear in really nicely. Can't wait to get my next pair!

These are very light, and comfortable shoes. My foot fits in very well. It has a cushioned sole and the bottom have little spikes for more traction when walking. I have had them for a few days and they are probably the best shoe I have ever owned.

If you like stuff that is awesome, then this shoe is for you. I love the look and fit of it. I'm a car nut, and I bought this shoe partly because it looked like it would be good for driving. It is that, with a thin sole for good pedal feel. I don't think I'd wear it working in the garage though, as I might quickly get tired of being on my feet in this shoe. But if you want a shoe that fits comfortably and looks awesome, and you don't plan to walk a half marathon in it, then I recommend it.

These are my favorite shoes. I'm about to buy a second pair in a different color so that they last longer. They are great for running, great for being on my feet all day, great for long walks. I love them!

I love these shoes, I have them in 10 different colors and are the only shoes I wear. Nothing fits better or feels better.

Very lightweight and comfortable. The sole is a tad too thick to be a true minimalist running shoe, but it makes a fantastic casual shoe.

This is the closest shoe to the Tiger Light Trainer I wore high jumping in the 1970s. They are a good training shoe, the closest to the N--- Zoom III spikes that I now jump in. When I'm indoors on the b-ball court and I really can't use the spikes these are what I wear for hj training. Great traction. Great fit for my foot. Love the style.

These shoes are stylish, spunky, and all around sexy shoe. They have a very squishy sole which makes them extremely comfortable for casual use, don't bike on them like I did or they will wear down extremely fast. The only cons about these shoes are the bottoms are like track shoes and they wear away too fast to even realize it happens, making them almost slick. Also the comfortable sole will break down and be terribly uncomfortable after a few months unfortunately.

Perfect fit, very comfortable, can be worn as casual shoes as well as for sports.

I just put these on, and they feel fabulous. They are so light, and yet supportive. I am not sure that I will be able to wear socks with them, because they fit like a glove (yes, on my feet!). But I am very very pleased right out of the box.

I needed some good, comfortable shoes to get me through Mardi Gras and these served that purpose very well. I happened to be carrying a banner in a parade and walked at least 5 miles in these shoes. My feet were a little tired the next day which is to be expected in any shoe. I found them so comfortable and stylish I wore them through the rest of carnival (and still enjoying them). I highly recommend these shoes! Nice job Asics.

These shoes are amazing! I have wanted a pair of Tigers for many years, but I was concerned that they would be too tight on my incredibly wide feet. Thanks to the marvelous reviews on here, I decided to take the plunge! I have had the Serranos for about two months now. To say I love them would be an understatement. They are comfortable, easy to clean, and breathable. I am a no socks kind of person and have not gotten any blisters! Not even one! They also do not stink, which is always awesome. Best of all, they do not make my giant feet look any bigger! These are the best shoes ever!

I love my new Onitsuka Serrano from Zappos! They are super light and classy! I actually bought two more pairs in yellow and red.

Love these "old school" shoes. My grandson even said "cool shoes nana!" Fit is right on and very comfy.

I was worried the color would look to flushed in real life, but the light base color looks great! If you have less of an arch than normal, you are going to need inserts. Also, these shoes look great with a dark wash pair of jeans.

These shoes are awesome. Complimented on them my first day wearing them and super comfortable as well.

I find Adidas and Puma to run a bit narrow for my foot, but these shoes are perfect! I bought another color a few days after getting these shoes - I wear these instead of my house slippers because they are so comfortable!

Overall, awesome. First day or two it will be tight fit with socks, but afterward it will be perfect. Do not wear in heavy rain or snow or jump in puddles. However, light rain or snow it will be fine! Color: The black shoe with gold/white stripes in real life look Dark Navy Blue. The brown shoe (Lead dust?) looks dark olive green. Good buy!

These have definitely got the cool factor and look great on your feet. I wore them out to a bar with a silk dress (after my heels had almost crippled me earlier) and they looked even cuter than my heels! I got a ton of compliments on them. I got the Royal/White color and I hope Zappos gets more colors back in stock. They are a classic!
