I love this shoe! It has a Vibram sole. The footbed is somewhat hard against the ground as compared to most cushioned running shoes, which I like. I wear this shoe for everyday use and walking. The soles grab the pavement and do not slip. The toebox is just wide enough to accommodate my somewhat squarish feet, and my narrow heels do not slip in the shoe. The suede leather gives just a bit - enough to stretch against my foot and not rub against the bones of my foot, although I would be happier if the toebox was a tiny bit wider. I wear a women's size 9.5 and the men's 8.5 fits perfectly. I contacted Scarpa directly by email to ask if the men's model has a wider toebox than the shoe of the same name marketed to women, and was told that the men's and women's Scarpa Mojito shoes are identical except for the colors. So, with that knowledge, I also ordered the same size in Parrot - a women's Mojito color. The tongue in the shoe does tend to migrate to one side, but the optional loop in the tongue helps a little with that issue. I also ordered the Superfeet Black insert for arch support and these fit into the shoe perfectly!

After owning these shoes for one month and just walking, the stitching started coming undone on both shoes. The location of the stitching is where the inside of the show meets the outside (picture attached). I do not run. I have only been walking. Zappos was fantastic through their customer support, but I am disappointed in the shoes.

I am writing this review 2.5 years after purchasing my pair of Scarpa Mojitos from Zappos, so you could say I've had plenty of time to try them out! These may be the best pair of shoes I've ever owned, for I've worn them now on numerous overseas trips. They're perfect, for they're really a combination of a rugged hiking shoe and a running shoe, so you can wear them for just about anything. I've walked hundreds of miles in these, and they're still holding up great! I particularly like the gray color for it goes with anything. Highly recommended!

These are probably the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. They are designed and fit like driving shoes with the laces extending up most of the top of the shoe. The arch support is moderate but I always put my own orthodotics in my shoes. They are great for everyday use and have a grippy Vibram sole. They are really light weight,have nearly no break-in period, are very well made, and great looking. I now have two pairs in different colors. A word of caution though; they are also advertised as approach shoes but they are definitely not rugged or water-proof enough to be used as approach shoes. Scarpa has other shoes such as the Gecko that are specifically built for this purpose.

Great shoe. I have had this shoe for over a month and I really like them. I have very wide feet (EEE) and I have a hard time finding shoes. One of the nice things for me is that the laces run down to the toe of the shoe. Since the laces run the length of the shoe, I am able to adjust the width of the shoe to make them more comfortable. If you get these shoes, you will not be disappointed.

Love right out of the box! (Zen - lites+) I have been using the original Scarpa Zen for a number of years as my go to day hiker. The sole is very stiff and quite suitable for the terrain in the mountains around and above Tucson, AZ. Over time my trusty Zens had worn and it was time for a replacement. I did my due diligence; checked reviews and purchased the Mojitos ; they arrived in 49 hours after placing an online order. (I love Zappos; their customer service is outer-worldly!) When I removed the shoes from the box, I had a huge smile on my face. The mojito has excellent construction, quality and style. Their lacing provides a custom fit.; simply loosen them up the first time and then you can dial inyour optimal fit when you lace them up. The Mojito Vibram sole is not as stiff as the Zen (or presumably, the Zen Pro), so if you are planning on using this with a heavy pack, this shoe may not be adequate. However, for shorter hikes (with a day pack); this shoe is a great option. This shoe may be worn for casual wear; it is definitely more comfortable than its bigger brother the Scarpa Zen. Lighter too.

These boots are gorgeous. I was worried they would not be very comfortable. But they offer tremendous support given how low profile they are. The only thing that I'm not a huge fan of is the large amount of lace holes. These are provided to allow you to "custom-fit" every inch of the shoe. I honestly believe they just make for an obnoxiously long effort in tying and untying your shoes. I don't buy into the "custom-fit" mentally that appear to be the rage in this type of shoe. But if you do, you will love them even more.

My first time buying into this Italian shoe company, as I was planning my trip to ... Italy accidentally. Usually, they recommend taking a pair of well-worn shoes to your vacation, especially if you plan to walk a lot. I took a risk and purchase them just few weeks prior. Spend 10 days in Italy walking everywhere. The shoes did excellent job: remain comfortable during the entire day, hold well in rain and moisture, kept shape and looks.

The Scarpa Mojito is very comfortable. I have spinal stenosis and many sneakers/athletic shoes are uncomfortable and I feel pain immediately. These are very comfortable and no discomfort on my lower back. No break in time needed, I put them on and walked all day. They are stylish, and I just ordered a pair for my brother. Love them.

Husband has been wearing the Scarpa Mojito's at least the past 8 years. Glad to see they're being offered by Zappo's and in his large size (12.5). They are the only shoes he wants to wear because of their comfort and support. That's because one foot is slightly smaller than the other. I understand most people have this problem. If he buys shoes in the larger foot size, then the smaller foot feels too loose. If he buys shoes for the smaller foot size, then the larger foot feels too tight. The Scarpa Mojito has solved his problem. The extra long shoelace eyelets makes it possible to custom tighten or loosen whatever area of the shoe he needs to feel most comfortable in. He hasn't tried the other models that Scarpa makes because he's perfectly satisfied with the Mojito's. I myself thought the extra long shoelace pattern on the shoe looked strange, but am repeatedly surprised with the many compliments he gets from both men and women when wearing these shoes.

Amazing shoes! I wore these everyday for 3 straight weeks on a summer trip to Europe. I wanted a shoe that was as comfortable as a running shoe, but more stylish and less athletic looking. These Mojitos fit the bill beautifully. Awesome support, very well made.

These are the greatest shoes! I bought them for travels in Europe, to have a shoe for hiking but could wear with shorts or a skirt if need be. I am since home and wear them for all of my workouts, including my fitness martial art class, hiking, sometimes even running. I can wear them all day and evening and my feet never get tired! They are the best fitting walking/hiking/exercise shoe I have ever purchased. I love the yellow color, different! And the look of the shoe is a bit European so I fit in a bit better while traveling. I get endless compliments on them and have passed the name on to many people. Don't ever stop making them! I am glad to see other colors offered now too. Run, don't walk to buy a pair, you won't regret it!

I was looking for a light hiking shoe and I came across these. These shoes are more than I expected, they look good, feel good and have good traction. They feel good right out the box, no break in period.

Love these shoes. Bought them for travel, lots of walking /hiking every day, very comfortable. No break in period required. Looking fw to some hikes at home in these.

My wife and I each have two pairs of these shoes, purchased because we were retiring abroad, ditching our cars, and walking everywhere. We usually walk between 20-30 miles a week just getting around and hiking this large city. These shoes are absolutely the best shoes fort walking, much more supportive and rigid for ultimate protection from the many sidewalk and street hazards here. They are well worth the price and much better than standard athletic/running trainers. They are also extremely well made and hold up to the rigorous walking we do everyday. We both enthusiastically recommend Scarpa Mojitos without reservation!!!

The Scarpa mojito 39.5 fit my women's size 8.5, semi-wide feet perfectly. The low profile is a nice alternative to all my bulky hiking boots. Unfortunately this size is not available in 'shark' color which is the one I really want. Now I wait for my notification from Zappos that they are back in stock.....

I bought these shoes for a trip to Greece, where I knew I would be walking over a lot of different terrains (city streets, ancient ruins, trails, etc .). I averaged 8-10 miles of walking per day during the trip, and by the end of the first day determine that these are hands-down the MOST comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Broken in out of the box. The style isn't for everyone, but in my opinion, they look as good as they feel.

I bought these to have a black "long lace" casual shoe. I have asolo space gv's in several colors, but they don't have black. The lacing to the toe works very well for me. I can tighten for better support on hiking type wals or long days and loosen for times with I'll be mixed sitting and walking/wandering. I use them for all kinds of casual and really like the look. They fit the wide ball of my feet and have plenty of room for my toes. I found the lace length to be way too short for lacing losely so I got longer (72inch) laces that work much better and are easier to adjust than the flat laces that came with them. The support is just fine for long days and light hiking. Would not use for off path/trail hiking. The quality seems good and the suede looks pretty cool. The soles are not too think, so you do feel a bit of the ground but still very good support and underfoot and quite stable. Sizing seems fairly accurate in that I tend to take a 44.5 EU not matter what size is listed for the US size. In these I take 11 US (44.5 EU) and in asolo space I take 10.5 US (44.5 EU). Since both are European shoes it makes sense to guage on the EU size. These are not waterproof and I didn't expect them to be waterproof. I think they will breath very well and in fact have some venting holes in the tongue. Overall very good shoes....comfortable out of the box, look cool, and good support.

My wife and I each ordered two pairs of hiking shoes for an upcoming trip where we are going to be doing quite a bit of walking. We did not want something that looked like running shoes, because we were going to be wearing them in the city, and sometimes in the evenings, and neither of us wanted to take a bunch of shoes along. We both loved these shoes for not only the style, but also the fit. My wife actually through they looked cute on her size 9 feet! The laces running almost all the way to the toe is not only a style element, but offers a more customized fit. We are both wearing them a lot to break them in, and find them very comfortable and supportive, even without extra support from orthotics/inserts (but the factory insert is removable if you need to put your own inserts in). Overall these are great shoes and worth the price, and such a surprise that we both loved these and now have matching shoes for our trip!

With a revolving closet of two dozen of the finest shoes in the world, this is the best pair I have ever owned. I picked these up for a trip to Nicaragua where I knew that we would be walking, hiking, riding motorcycles, etc. Style aside, these are the best shoes in the world. Comfortable beyond belief and multi-functional, I wear them to work and then can coach soccer in them after. I will continuously own a pair of these shoes until some unicorn to replace them is found.

I bought this shoe for work, I do alot of standing and walking on concrete for eight hour a day. So far they are great for walking all day. They are good for standing as long as you are not standing in one place for a long period of time. Your feet will start to hurt if you stand in one place too long. Other than that, this is a great shoe. I purchased the black and i also purchased the blue, and i love both pair.

Great shoes. This is my second pair; first pair I wore almost everyday for 3 years. I have a narrow foot with the design of shoe the width is easily adjusted with the laces. Great shoes for everyday use and hiking. The soles adapt to most all surfaces. The shoes are manufactured in Romania and are of high quality. I have had my new Mojitos for the past month and wear them everyday....Great shoes.
