Wonderful boots! Comfortable and stylish. My only complaint is that they look more black than brown.

These are awesome Boots! They are easier to put on than wellingtons. They are light and comfortable from day one.

I had read about these boots in Outside Magazine, and swore that I would one day treat myself to a pair. What was I waiting for? They are by far the most comfy work boot, or any boot, that I've ever worn. Seriously. I was concerned that the slip on style would not feel secure, but it is great, and so convenient! Plenty of toe room, and completely unaware of the steel toe, unlike some other steel toe boots. They are well made, and I can tell they will last and last. I find myself wearing them even when not needing the protection because they are that superior to other footwear.

Bought these for my husband. He really likes. Comfortable and just what he wanted.

Great boot, love the look and feel. Bought these for work; however, I notice that I just throw them on just to go to the store or going out on the town. I originally ordered size 13 US, however, these were too big for me. I tend to wear 13s in most shoes. So I ordered a 12 US and they fit perfect. So with that said I would say that they run just a bit big. Zappos provided great customer service on the boot swap and next day delivery at no charge to me.

First time going back to my ship and felt no foot ache from being on 3 months vacation. I wish Id found these babies years ago. Excellent in every way fit comfort donning these are work boots safe and comfortable. My feet actually felt good after three days running around getting ready for sea out of the shipyard. The need for toe-nail guard due to fungus was met by this boot. Just a great all day boot. Cant say enough about how satisfied I am w/ the boot.

I am very particular of my footwear. I have low volume uber-flat feet with nerve damage caused by too many years in rock climbing shoes and hiking, ski, and mountaineering boots. I ordered these Blundstones to replace a 5 year old pair of Keen's of similar design (slip-on, full-height). The "Stones'" wide toebox accommodated my wide, flat feet and the removable insole allowed my orthotics easily. There was zero break-in time and they are warm as can be, even with the steel toe. I live in New Hampshire, USA and bought these in November. It's down around 10 degrees F as I write this and still nice and warm for active wear outside for extended periods. The soles are non-lugging and I have found them to provide excellent traction on everything from wet grass to icy dirt roads to icy sidewalks. I love these boots and am considering just buying another pair to have for when these wear out! Oh...and the slip-on factor is great (late-night dog-walkies!) When I ordered the Blundstones, I also ordered a pair of similar Keens and Merrells. The Merrells were the closest in fit (very comfy) but were more dressy/less rugged than I needed. The Keens were well made but not a good fit to my foot. Zappos provided free shipping of the 2 pairs I did not purchase...it was a complete no-brainer to do it this way, as most shoe stores won't carry 3 different company's boots in the same style, so I could never do a side-by-side comparison. Zappos rules!

I have had the shoes for little over a month now and they are getting to the point the leather is forming to my foot shape. The leather is a good quality and thick, so expect a few weeks break in period. I was worried about my foot sliding around once they were broken in, but this has not been the case. They keep your foot in place, but allow the ability to breath by not having the shoes tightly wrapped by shoelaces or lacing in general. I was on my feet for over 11 hours straight one night at work and they definitely did their job of reducing fatigue. After 11 hours straight I would compare the fatigue of my feet to about 4 hours of my last pair of work boots I used. They are still breaking in, so I only expect them to get more comfortable. I would not hesitate to buy again and have recommended them to others already.

I work in the power/utility industry and was shopping for a new pair of safety boots. My co-worker, who is also a farmer and rancher in Central California turned me onto Blundstones. I had never heard of them until now. They are a great boot! Great craftmanship, durable build. I like the slip-on style for ease and comfort. I typically went with Timberland boots, but after seeing the V.P. wearing them, I quit that brand. Also, my last pair of Timberland boots feel apart pretty quick. If you are and industry guy/gal, give these a try. They should be able to hold up to your long work day! Stay safe out there!

Love this boot! They look great my only complaint is that the steel toe digs into the top of my feet a little.

I ordered a 12”, D width and undoubtedly, these boots are true to size. I must admit, pulling them on is NOT easy. Hopefully, in time they will become more flexible.

Just a quick note about sizing: most of my shoes are around size 12 (US Men's) and that's why I ordered the size 11 AU because it is supposed to convert to 12 US. Seems simple enough. The boots arrive it's immediately clear that they're too big. No problem, I return 'em and exchange for a pair in size 10 AU (that's 11 US) and they fit great! For many yankees like myself the Australian sizing can add a layer confusion, especially if you're not able to try the boots on in a store. I'd advise ordering a full size smaller than you normally would; these ran large for me. To summarize, I normally wear a 12, and the AU 10 (US 11) fits my feet very well. I was immediately and pleasantly surprised with how comfortable they were, right out of the box. I was expecting a week or two of break-in period, as with other leather shoes/boots/etc but like i said these were quite comfortable all day on the first day i wore 'em to work. I do a variety of handy work ranging from art handling to demolition and construction, and since I live in the city I commute by bicycle. These boots are comfortable enough to wear all day, light enough to wear while riding a bike without them feeling clunky at all, and of course durable and supportive enough for real work. Highly recommended; I should have bought these years ago.

They are a fantastic boot for being on your feet all day.

Fit & size is ok. It's just it really feels heavier compared to my other shoes with steel/composite toes

Husband had a pair a few years ago and loved them. He tried them again and said these are good, but also tried the BL990, and they were much more comfortable, so he went with those.

These shoes have been okay so far; maybe 2 weeks in. Not as comfortable as I thought they would be, though. The insoles weren't very great. I replaced the insoles with ones from my old boots (Thorogood), and it helped a bit. As far as aesthetics, I don't really like the toe cap design or the design lines along the lateral part of the sole. It makes it look weird compared to Blundstone's more traditional boots, which are very very stylish. These are also made of genuine leather, which isn't as lasting or as great looking as full-grain leather. The collar along the achilles area pressed into my ankle/achilles a bit, but got use to it after 2-3 wears. Also, I can feel the work safety toe press against the top of my forefoot (think base of the toes, below where the foot knuckles start) when I am walking. They still function as a decent work boot. However, not as great as my last pair of work boots which were Thorogood's, The only upsides is that these Blundstones are lighter and the slip on feature makes it easy to slip on.

These boots are absolutely AMAZING! I have been wearing them for over a month now and have never worn such a more comfortable shoe/boot! After 30 yrs working and walking all day on a cement floor I couldn’t be more pleased. These boots are so worth the price that one would normally spend on a work shoe/boot. I will not settle for less ever again. Happy feet happy life. Thank you Zappos for patiently returning and shipping until I got the exact fit for me. A++++++++

After trying the 2 styles in 2 sizes the 3rd try I found the perfect fit. Other reviews said to go up in size for wider and to fit the toe for the steel toe. I went up a full size (longer toes) and wore them the whole first day and they feel great! Work on cement floors for 32 years and these will be my go to for the future. Love the style for weekend wear too! Love that Zappos has no shipping charges. They helped me again find the perfect fit. Lifetime VIP member for years.

Great fit and comfort for a steel-toed boot

This is my second pair of Blundstones. I wore the first pair, BL 490, for a year straight and the soles gave up. I can’t blame them. This pair is, to my surprise, steel toe. I missed that somehow in the description. Keeping them because in early December we dropped a desk on my foot and I had a limp for a few days. The BL 490 might have been a tighter fit in my right foot. It’s winter here and my right toe was constantly cold. Now that I have these BL 172s, no cold toe and it’s really outside now! The size is good front to back, it’s just that I think the 172 has more room if you have a big arch or fat foot. I like them! I work in the lighting department for TV production. Blundstones are great for climbing truss, scaling set walls and lugging gear for 12-16 hour days. Great boots.

Terrific! Way more comfortable than the Mountain Horse boots I'm replacing.
