These are unbelievably comfortable, easy to get on and off and I love how they look. I did have to order down a full size and a half, they seem to be run quite big. I typically wear an 11, but had to go down to a 9.5 for the perfect fit.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I just put them on, and I am never taking them off. I have a hard foot to fit; very flat, wide in toe box, narrow in heel. I had to buy men's 8.5 (I am a woman, and usually wear women's 10.5) to get a wide enough toe box. With the strap, I can customize the fit to keep them on my feet. The arch support is phenomenal. I am going to order another pair. I have never written a review before, so that should tell you something.

Wow, if you like your Chaco sandals, you will love these. The same great feel in the sole with the advantage of the foot cover to keep your toes warm. I wear the Chacos all summer, now I am wearing these in the winter.

Zappos customer service can't be beat, other companies take note! Exceptional! Remember that regular chacos are about a half size bigger than you need as a bumper. These shoes are covered and therefore you use all the area. Order a half size smaller than you chaco sandels.

100 miles on them, they still feel good, the leather is holding up to minor scratches with bushes and rocks. I bought them for the Chaco foot-bed, and the ability to resole them. Since they lack the complete wrap over the foot, plan on wearing socks to keep them snug, but then again I bought them to wear places I couldn't wear the sandals. I bought the same size as my sandals, which left me room to wear wool socks if needed. If you like the support your z1s or 2s gave you over the summer, then there is no point not to get a pair of these to support you through the fall and winter.

I own a pair of the Z1s, so I ordered the PedSheds in the same size. The fit is between snug and tight around the arches. I'm not complaining but if I had to re-order, I'd get a half-size or full size larger.

All in all the PedShed is a pretty good casual shoe. It provides lots of comfort, plenty of room, good grip, and the trademark Chaco straps. On the down side, there is too much play in the heel for me which warrants a return. Once again kudos to Zappos' shipping and return policies.

These are stylish shoes! Just I wanted with arch support and an adjustable instep. Unfortunately there is an inset elastic gusset in the instep that rubs, so I cannot keep these shoes.

I have previously worn only the Chaco sandals and they are excellent because I have fallen arches and wear an orthotic, which leaves out most sandals, but they have such high arch support that I have no worries. These are great shoes with or without the orthotic, except the back part of the shoe is a little too soft. Nonetheless, this is a very good shoe. I love Chacos!

The squeaky noise some have disappears by day two. I like the PedShed, terrific support. Only complaint is that textured inner sole surface catches your sock so you have to jam your feet in (binding the sock around your toes) rather than slipping your feet in. Maybe an orthotic inner sole will help.

These shoes look great, fit beautifully and are supremely comfortable. I have been wearing them inside all evening. I so wish I could keep them. Unfortunately, Chaco has made the PedShed with some kind of soft, supple, shiny and yet extremely noisy lining on the inside of the upper. I am not sure if these clamorous clogs would quiet down after wearing them a while, but I do not think I could withstand the incredulous looks, smirks and stifled snickers from strangers until they do. Understand, this is not just a minor squeak or click, it is more like squeezing into a vinyl diner booth while wearing patent leather pants. Over-and-over again while you stroll along. So back they go. Because these tootsie tigers growl so loudly, I have to give them three Stars overall.

I have 3 other pairs of Chaco's so when I saw this new style it was a "no brainer." I ordered the usual size and it was too big. My foot was swimming in the shoe. I had to reorder a half size smaller and I could have probably gone a whole size smaller. They have great arch support and cradle your feet but after a few hours my inner arches began to feel like I was getting blisters. I was not wearing socks and that could be the problem or it could be the inside of the shoe has seams that rub against your arch. As far as style they are a bit clunky but I rather have comfort than style.

I've worn Chaco sandals for years. I'm on my 7th pair. Save your time and money on these and buy the Chaco Toe Coop! I bought the PedShed and Toe Coop to try both, and the huge problem with the PedShed is that the leather back half doesn't grab your heel the way the strap on the back of the Toe Coop does. Result: your heel just slides up and down the entire time you walk. The Toe Coop, however, is really great. it grabs you heel just like my Z/2 and Z/1's and keeps my feet warm with or without socks in the fall and winter. I gave the Toe Coop 5 stars all around. I wear a 10 in Chaco and also wear a 10 in the Toe Coop and PedShed.

I've been needing a casual shoe for a while now having outgrown my old skate shoes (figuratively). I wanted something comfortable and nice enough to wear out without looking like a teenage mall rat wearing slippers and pjs. Since I own a couple pairs of Chacos, I decided to give the PedSheds a shot. When they arrived, I was a bit worried they wouldn't live up to the everyday wearability standard set my my other Chacos but I was patient and kept wearing them around the house. There was a slight hot spot on my right outer foot, and the ankles rubbed me the wrong way. I knew they would need to break in but I took a gamble and brought them on vacation without ever wearing them outside. I can't say that I had any issues once I got rolling on these shoes and they felt great by the time I pulled them off my feet after we arrived at our destination. I've been happy with them ever since. They have the same Chaco arch support as my sandals and fit pretty much the same, sole-wise. There isn't any fabric on the insole -- just rubber like their sandals -- so socks tend to stick. The heel strap is not adjustable for those with a narrow heel. The front strap is all the adjustment needed anyhow, in my opinion. I hope they have enough coverage for winter use but I may not care if they remain as comfortable as they are now. Overall a great shoe, good quality, good fit, simple and stylish. Everything I'd expect from Chaco.

Love these shoes! I have insanely high arches/instep and a wide forefoot. The womens were not wide enough and made my toes fall asleep. Too tight across the instep. I envy the people who write they need to tighten the strap! I ordered the mens and the extra width was just the ticket! Best arch support ever! True to size. Fit just like my sandals (wides) I work 12 hour shifts and needed no break in time.

Color not as pictured. Actually a lot more green. Still a nice color, just not what I wanted. Returned them and got the Redlands/Brown color!

I have always loved Chacos and wanted a closed pair of shoes. My wife found these on the Zappos site and ordered them. I am extremely happy with them. With a pair of wool socks they are warm. Zappos is full of wonderful staff that are friendly and helpful picking out the right shoes. Thank you so much!

Just got my new Chaco PedShed shoes they seem a little heavy, but I haven't got to wear them a whole day yet. I am glad I read a review on them about the size. I usually wear a 9 but got a 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Hopefully they will help the bone spurs in my feet.

Great shoe! I wear it for my daily walk to school (college student) in the rain and it keeps my feet toasty warm and dry! It's very comfortable, looks great, and functions perfectly. I was worried at first since they were very squeaky but after about a week they apparently broke in enough to stop making noise. Overall, great shoe, one I know will be my main shoe for years to come. Sizing wise, I wear an 11 in the Z1 sandal, and the 10.5s in the Pedshed fit perfectly.

Outstanding shoe...if you love the sandals, you will love this shoe. Very comfortable. Ordered same size as sandal size and fits me perfectly. You will be glad you bought this shoe. First time buyer with Zappos. Great service...received shoes within two days of order.

Orthotic alternative! I wear custom orthodics in my shoes and love the support the PedSheds provide without having to use the orthodics. Comfortable as my Chaco sandals and perfect for winter. Easy on and off for travel and security lines. Well constructed and beautifully finished.

This is the best shoe I have bought in my lifetime. It is playing a huge role in curing the plantar fasciitis that I have been fighting for the past few years. I would recommend anyone with plantar fasciitis to try this out.

My feet love these shoes. If you struggle getting the proper arch support in your shoes then look no further than Chacos. I may never buy another casual shoe or boot. I typically wear a 10.5, but Chacos run about a half size larger than most. So, I have size 10 in the brown. Note that I originally ordered the PedShed in Military Brown, which is really an olive drab green. It's hard to see that on the website.

Just like a pair of Chacos but covered in leather, so you don't have to give up your Chaco allegiance over the winter. I wear a size 9 in the sandals, but my PedShed shoes are a 8.5.
