Love the concept and look of this shoe. Unfortunately the cut around the toe falls right over my pinky toe joint and caused pain so I had to return them.

Dansko's are great shoes for comfort! I purchased these for work as they are dressier than most styles. They are just as comfortable as my other Dansko's and they are perfect for dressier attire/work.

I have never had a pair of shoes this stylish that were this comfortable. So many compliments the first day I wore them! I have wide feet, but the toe box was perfect from the moment I put them on (so, may be really wide for others). The adjustable strap is forgiving on my wider athletic ankles, and I haven't had any trouble with pinching or rubbing. No break-in time; first wearing was all day at work and they were more comfortable than many of my dressy flats - but the style and height make you feel a whole lot sexier and more fashionable. As with other Danskos, excellent arch support and the footbed cushions wonderfully. Going to buy them in red now!

I got so many compliments when I wore this shoe! The heel looks much higher than it really is because the leather at the toe covers the high platform, so they look fashionable while actually being quite comfortable. Although the strap chafed a bit the first time I wore them, it soon softened up.

I absolutely Love my Rachels. I pretty much only where Dansko shoes and these are the only ones so far that I feel like I can wear with dresses and suits to work. They simply are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned and the snap makes it so easy! Can't say anything but great things about them.

Love these shoes. So cute and very comfortable. I haven't experienced any of the strap problems other reviewers have had. Totally comfortable and easy to wear. I wear a 40 in the Professional, but a 39 in this style fits perfectly. The red is beautiful and rich.

GREAT shoe! The rare combination of comfort and style. I am on my feet all day long and can wear the Dansko Rachel without one thought to my feet except when customers compliment my red shoes!

The shoe is cute but I always wear a 36 in Dansko's and this 36 was way too big.

I am a full time chef and when I go out I want comfortable shoes. Not only are they comfortable, they cause a sensation. Everyone wants to look at them and I tell them to go to Zappos. I also say that Zappos has the best customer service I've experienced.

I absolutely love these shoes - they look like high heels because of the hidden platform but they are comfortable and easy to walk in - like most Dansko shoes. I'd like to buy a back up pair!

Love these shoes! I am a clog, flip flop, Ugg girl and this is one of very few heels I can wear. The platform and the rocking at the toe makes it work and they are sexy - even with my skinny legs. Lots of compliments. went down to a 38 (usually a 39 in Dansko professionals). I did try them in black but both pairs oddly dug into my left ankle, but not the red.

These are very comfortable and gorgeous. I wear a 41 in the regular clog style Dansko, but wear a 40 in these. I bought both the 41 and the 40, and the 40 were the keeper.

People stop me top ask me about these. Very cute and reasonable comfortable; I am on my feet all day running up and down flights of stairs for my job. One initial break in blister, par for the course and none since. I did buy the same as my US size and they felt a bit tight at first. I almost exchanged for next size up but they have stretched a bit so after a few days of wearing the fit comfortable. My feet tend towards narrow though. They give an illusion of being a much higher heel than they are because the platform is about an inch so really walking on probably a half in to 1 inch heel but it looks more like 2.5 to 3" heel. I am so tired of comfort shoes looking so orthopedic, these are a comfortable antidote to the practical orthopedic look. They have a bit of sass to them.

Just bought this today! Awesome fit & comfort, looks gorgeous. 37 is my usual Dansko size for the Dansko Professional, Marah, Maeve, and now this Rachel. The footbed has about half inch platform, so it doesn't feel like a 3 inch heel. The side snap adjusts, and I use the largest setting.

Just bought this shoe, not at Zappos, but only because the store has a "bonus program" and I was getting a discount on the pair. Normally I buy all my shoes from Zappos as they have the best selection, fast delivery, and excellent service. I found this shoe ran a tad large, and instead of going with my usual size of 39 (European sizing) I felt the 38 was better on my foot. It doesn't feel like a 3" heel, due to the fact that there is a hidden 3/4" platform under the ball of your foot. Very comfortable for a higher heel. I have had 1/2 knee replacement, and must be careful of what shoe brands I buy, and I have found that Dansko has a nice product that looks cute and feels great. I have not had the opportunity to wear these a lot, but so far they are very nice.

This shoe runs big so size down. This style looks elegant and sexy but don't expect the same comfort you get with the Dansko Professional.

Beautiful shoe, love the toe, but sized much smaller than I anticipated. I ordered one size smaller than my usual Dansko proff. size, but should have gone down two sizes. I ordered the last pair of Red, but they also came with scuff marks on each shoe.

These shoes are the most comfortable heels I've ever owned. I was a little skeptical about whether I'd be annoyed by the ankle strap or not (especially because I have ankles of ample size), but the strap has three snaps so it can be adjusted. I have a job that requires me to be dressed nicely, but also able to move freely and these shoes have worked well for me so far.

I have a difficult time finding dress shoes due to ankle and knee injuries, so luckily, these shoes did the trick. They have excellent arch support and look great on the foot. Even though it looks as if you are wearing heels, it hardly feels like it since it is more of a platform. You could definitely wear these shoes all day at work or to an event and be comfortable. The two downsides are that the edge of the shoe underneath the ankle tends to dig in making it uncomfortable to walk at times. Also, your foot will slide forward if you tend to wear nylons or tights. To note, the shoes run larger than marked so I ordered one size smaller.

I really liked the style and wish they fit better but the ankle strap kind of hurts and the shoe overall felt heavy. I think I am going to have to send it back because I wanted them for work and I don't think they are comfortable enough.

I just purchased a pair of the Dansko Rachel in black at a retail store in my town, but thought I'd provide a review. Overall, I like these shoes and would buy them again. These are my first Danskos, and I like them so much that I came onto Zappos and ordered another pair of Danskos in a different style and color. Favorite things: The arch support on these shoes is amazing! I have extremely flat feet and my feet generally role inward. I also have narrow feet. These shoes provide excellent arch support, and fit my feet perfectly without excessive space around the sides because of too much width. The other wonderful feature is the heel height/stability. I haven't purchased a pair of heels in over five years, and generally steer clear of anything with a heel, but I needed to upgrade my wardrobe for work. Because this is a platform heel, it feels much lower than it actually looks from the outside. Yea! I noted that other reviewers complained of the ankle strap hitting their ankles at a bony/uncomfortable spot, but that isn't the case for me. One thing I'm going to have to get used to is the texture of the footbed. I guess all (or most) Danskos have the same type or material footbed - it's this hard resin, with the arch molded into it. While I adore the arch feature, I am used to a more cushioned footbed and was surprised at how hard it feels. It will take some getting used to. It's not uncomfortable per se, but just different. Also, I do like the style but at times I look down at my feet and sort of feel like a member of Aerosmith. I haven't bought platforms before, so again this is just something to get used to! They don't feel too "cloggy," but they do make me feel very tall!

Bought these at the same time as a pair of professional clogs. These are much smaller! I am trying the next size up.

For a 3 inch heel, this shoe is extremely comfortable, as it is a Dansko after all! However, I am very surprised that the designers at Dansko placed the buckle right at the ankle which directly rubs constantly (uncomfortable) and makes what would otherwise be a great shoe just an acceptable one. For a brand committed to comfort as one of its priorities, that was the largest disappointment (I am a huge Dansko fan). Otherwise the leather/materials are of high quality, and the shoe looks lovely (I got the pair in red).

I don't usually wear heels. I found these to be Beautiful and fun to wear with pants and dresses. I LOVE these shoes. The ankle strap has snaps that I can adjust for tighter or looser when needed. Not as comfortable as the clogs, with less arch support, but great for a night out or when you're not on your feet all day. I walked in the pouring rain and my feet stayed dry.

The shoe is way cuter in person, which was a pleasant surprise, and even cuter on. I love the way it looks -- with skirts, jeans, work pants, you name it. While the platform and foot bed definitely make this the comfiest heel I've ever worn (in no way does it feel like 3"), I was still a little disappointed in the comfort. The foot bed could easily be more cushy, and the strap is a bit problematic. The tightest setting digs into my foot, but my heel slips around with the next loosest. The foot being delicate and bony, the snaps also dig in. Cuter than expected, less comfy than hoped.
