With some apprehension I ordered a pair of square dancing shoes from Zappos. Never before had I ordered shoes online or from a catalog, because I was concerned that they may be uncomfortable or not fit properly. Well, big surprise for me -- the shoes fit perfectly and were so soft they felt almost like slippers. They are very light-weight and comfortable to dance in. I've gotten lots of compliments on them from my square dancing friends. I've told several ladies to go to your website and order a pair for themselves. I will certainly purchase from Zappos again when the need arises.

Bought these shoes for ballroom practice, contra, and social dancing. I wear them three times per week, very comfortable. Not the cutest shoe in the world, but nice enough to wear with skirts and jeans. The order took longer then expected to receive, as I'm sure they were a special order in my size. None the less, well worth it.

I ordered these and the Cher, and I preferred the Jans because they have a lower heal and are more comfortable for dancing long hours on end. I also love the side buckle because it is quick release rather than having to fidget with buckle holes when you are quickly trying to get on the dance floor. I think these shoes are very well made for the price. I am a ballroom\/latin dancer and these shoes are perfect for ballroom dancing.

I was delighted in how quickly I received my shoes. They arrived just 2 days after I ordered them. The shoes were very comfortable with plenty of toe room and easy to slip on and off. They could use a little more interior cushion, but I just added a cushion insert. Next time I will buy a dancing shoe with a little wider heel base, but I still like these. I will definitely order from Zappos again.

These are mostly comfortable. I get the tiniest bit of digging in from the strap/pressing on my big toe after a while of dancing in them, but they work perfectly fine for me. I am in a ballroom dancing class at my university and so i dance in these about three hours a week.

These are so soft; so comfortable; they sag out a little on the outside but the comfort level is so high, I can live with the bulge!

These are very comfortable shoes. They are well made and easy to dance in. My only complaint is the straps are too short. I like to keep my shoes loose across the instep and the straps barely fasten when I do this. If you order these shoes, order 1/2 size larger than your regular size. The heel is also a little wide.

I use these shoes for contra dancing. Shoe's are not as high quality as I would have thought for the price. Not a lot of support, but once they are broken in, work pretty well. Not used to heels so have to watch how I step so I don't twist my ankle.

These are the worst quality shoes I have ever had my hands on. Unless they are dance shoes only and are meant to be very lightweight! They are definitely not worth the price! It had a scratch too that was almost painted over by the looks of it.

I purchased these shoes for a part in musical and to double as dance shoes when I do contra dancing. The heel is low enough but a bit unstable as it tapers in at the bottom. I think the fact that is a somewhat wide fit added to the instability. I purchased an 11 which is 1/2 size larger but if I were considering it for purchase I'd order my normal street size of 10 1/2 to compare the fit. I liked the strap and the style and it is comfortable, but not ideal for dance turns etc as I could see myself potentially twisting my ankle.

I bought size 8 Tic Tac Toes to wear in a dance class that has since been cancelled. I was worried about the low cut of the shoe, since it doesn't completely cover bunions on the big toes, but the shoes amazingly conformed to my feet within about 5 minutes wearing time. I wear a 7 1/2 -8 or size 38 depending on the cut of a shoe. I also need room to fit an arch support. The half length arch support fit fine. A full length arch support made the toes too tight. I will be wearing the shoes with tights. All of these extra fitting problems worked well with these shoes. The perfect shoe for me would be slightly higher covering the bunion and built in arch support. Also, if the wedge of the heel were slightly broader, I would feel less tottering. After wearing flatter shoes most of the time, it takes some adjustment to wear a heel with a narrower footprint. I haven't tested the shoes on a dance floor yet, but I look forward to the opportunity.
I'd also recommend:
Naot and Stonefly -- but I can't find shoes that don't grab the floor in those brands.

Yea! A shoe that is made in the USA and fits like the sizes should! I wear a 7 1/2 medium and that size fit perfectly. I am so happy. I was tired of all these dance sneaker where by you had to guess what size to get. The heel is a good height and the shoe is comfortable to dance in for several hours. If I have any complaint at all it is that the heel is occasionally unstable and I have to be sure to not let my ankle turn when I am spinning. And I love the look.

I love these shoes! They are so comfortable to dance in, and I can move easily because they are so lightweight.

Awesome shoe for a dancer with foot problems. I had bunion surgery and wasn't sure I'd be able to do character shoes again. The low heel and wider toe design of this shoe made it possible. I'd highly recommend this shoe for anyone who is post-surgery, has bunions, or is just looking for a more comfortable character shoe. I ordered a size up to give my feet even more space in the toe and don't have any trouble with the shoe slipping because it's a bit larger. I'd also recommend buying toe spacers and dancer pads (also known as sesamoid pads) to stick in the bottom for additional comfort.
