I will buy nothing but Chippewa boots since I got my first pair. My wife gave me a pair of these last summer, they are lightweight and very comfortable. You know you have a great pair of boots when you put them on in the morning and never think about them all day until you take them off in the evening. I have 5 pairs of Chippewa boots including the first pair (over 10 ten years old and still waterproof). I've got Chippewa snake boots, 8" boots and this 6" boot. I can't throw any of them them away because I can't wear a pair out. I'm a surveyor, tree farmer and hunter and wear a pair almost every day through swamps, creeks, clear cuts, construction sites and whatever. For 30 years I tried about every other brands but never think of buying anything else since that first pair. Well worth the money.

This was a first. My husband actually said. They were a little too big. He wears a 13 6E. I ordered the 13 4E because that was as wide as they came. with thick socks and his insole he did claim they were a perfect fit. From a woman's perspective these are a handsome boot.

These shoes are great. I have had them in mud and water ankle deep. They are very comfortable. I would highly recommend them. I would also like to say that Zappos is a great company to do business with.

These boots fit great and are very comfortable. They took a week or 2 to soften up but after that they were a night and day difference from my previous Timberlands. The composite toe makes them very lightweight and eliminates the fatigue a steel toe has.

Overall I really like these boots. They are pretty light thanks to the composite toe. They are not insulated but seem fine from a cold standpoint. I spent several hours shoveling 15" of snow the other day in 0 degree weather and my feet never got wet or cold. I was sure my feet would get wet but they never did. They definitely run large. Every other shoeboot I own is a 13. I had to send the 13 back and get a 12 which fits fine. They are pretty comfortable but like any boot they can bind slightly at the top. They are a nice looking boot. The shoe laces aren't great but I can always replace them if they annoy me too much. The Zappos experience was very good and the boots arrived faster than predicted and I live in a fairly remote area. Overall I'm pretty happy with these and would buy them again.

So, so good. Have only worn them about ten times. They seem to be waterproof as described. Its comfortable as a work boot can be. Will be wearing it more often during the winter.

So I have tried 5 different brands of safety toe boots so far and they all fit the same. The toe box hurts my foot. This one is just ever so slightly roomier, but still just won't do it.

so far all safety toe boots are the same, painful

I liked these boots. They fit nicely, and were comfortable out of the box. They were not waterproof. I stepped in a puddle and when the water got up to the stitching that attaches upper water came in. I also think I felt water in through the sole. I am very disappointed in the waterproof failure.

These are comfortable in general, but my husband did not like the feel of the composite toe in the toe box. It was definitely wide enough though! Returning for something without a hard toe.

I liked these boots when I got them. It took a couple of weeks for me to break them in. However, after a couple of weeks the boots started to fit well. Now I have had the boots about 4 months and the sole is beginning to break away from the upper and there is a large cut over the toe cap on one of the boots. I think these boots are ok and great looking. I probably won't be trying anymore Chippewa boots, however. In the boots defense, I work industrial maintenance in a very tough environment. Lots of hot wet water and chemicals. Not to mention the oils, grease and cleaners and degreasers. It was a piece of steel that cut the leather, but my old boots (which lasted 18 months), would not have been cut.

I wanted to like this boot because it came in extra-wide. I wear a size 11.5 4E sneaker, so it's hard for me to find boots that are comfortable. Well, my search continues. For the most part, this shoe is wide. But the toe box is not wide enough for me. My big and little toes are squeezed. Probably by the composite toe insert. I would like to try the 55160 model that does not have the safety toe, but Zappos does not carry it in the extra-wide width. Disappointing. I am returning the shoe to Zappos for a refund.

I’ve had these boots for 3 going on 4 years and they’re excellent. The leather has held up well over the years and the boots have provided great support. I wear them professionally and socially.

I LOVE the look of these boots!!! This color goes good with everything, new blue jeans, khaki, brown... Chippewa is the only boot I have found on Zappos that comes in my 3-E size. I will definitely buy these again, soon!

These boots are very comfortable from day 1. I’m usually on my feet 10 to 12 hours daily and by the end of day my feet don’t ache. These are lightweight yet offer the safety protection I need. I’m a fan thus far and most likely will stick with this brand next time around.

This is my 2nd pair. 1st still going, just beat up looking. The laces are WORTHLESS. They failed in a few weeks. Plan on getting another set of good laces if you buy these.

I have a wide thick foot. Boot is a little tight and I don't need the hard toe. Good looking boot though.

Order these on a Wed night at 10PM, and they arrived the next morning at 9:30AM!! Unbelievable. I have hard to fit feet, and these fit great. Worse them the next three days in the snow and they were comfortable, warm and dry. I honestly expected a fit problem, but these were great.

Work requires that I wear safety shoes daily, and I'm really tough on them. They are used in a saltwater environment, so the glues usually let go first. Most only last 6-8 months. I bought a pair of these 2 years ago and they are still going. The leather is cracking, the sole is starting to separate, and I've walked most of the tread off. However, they have lasted longer than any other boot I've ordered in 10 years. I have A width feet and am able to lace them to fit comfortably. I plan to order another pair to replace my current ones.

I bought these exactly 3 years ago, and am looking for a replacement, only because they look worn. They still feel great and work well. I'm an engineer, so i'm at my desk about 70% of the time, but i also go to job sites, so i like a tough boot. These are ideal for me. I'm strongly considering another pair of these exact boots, and keeping my old ones in service for days when i'm going to get dirty.
