This is the coolest looking shoe I've seen on the Zappos site (in black, gray, and white), and it's the best looking shoes on my feet ever! And then, amazingly, they're super comfortable with substantial cushioning and moderate arch support (what a difference that makes), and unlike some Saucony Originals they have a breathable mesh toe box. Some people have said these run large, but I usually take an 11 in street shoes and an 11.5 in athletic shoes, and often I have to get the Saucony's 1/2 size larger (I got 12s in the Original Jazz) but after reading the reviews saying these run large, I ordered them in my normal 11.5 size, and they fit perfectly. And then, when I set them next to my Nike Air 11.5s, they were identical in size (but more comfortable and better looking than those). I'd say they are true-to-size, not large. One thing that the pictures may not show clearly is that the Saucony design on the side is gray, not white, just a lighter shade of gray than the outer sole gray. The only white is the small front outer sole strip and the white thread that weaves through the black laces (you won't believe how cool that looks), and they also come with a second pair of white laces with black threads woven through. Too cool. I never thought I could get a shoe this comfortable that would also be a hot design. They look even better on, actually making your feet look smaller. Most brands try too hard on their designs and they're too busy, have screaming ugly colors, are boring gray, or just look stupid. The Saucony Original Shadow 5000 is a design masterpiece, and the price is an amazing bargain for all you get. You could spend more and not come close to shoes this good looking and comfortable. These are my #1 shoes now, and I plan to buy a back-up pair, but only in this black, gray, and white color combo. One last word on the sizing, if you need a snugger fit, you can lace tightly to the very last hole, as you have a choice of two there, but they fit fine for me on the second-to-last holes. Of course, if you're unsure, order two sizes because Zappos makes it easy to return them. One last major plus -- these shoes come with a removable cushioned insole, in case you want to add your own custom orthotic. Okay, hope this helps. Enjoy your Bad--s Shadows! Great running shoe! Fits like the original Saucony Shadow. Sole isn't rock hard like the newer Shadow editions.

The style and feel made me feel old. No offense to old people. It was light, but felt cheap in material and durability. I returned it because this was not for me.

These shoes are great! Very comfortable. Great sole. Classic, edgy design with the black and red combination I chose. It's my only pair of sport shoes I own; I prefer boots myself, but I love wearing these. Fit right out of the box.

Very comfy excellent for walking. The netting on the top is very thin and you can actually feel the air on the top of your feet. Of course this makes it terrible in the rain, but wear different shoes for that.

These shoes felt a little big I'm normally a size 9 in casual shoes but I was able to size down to a 8.5 and fits just right. If you prefer a looser fit stick with your normal size.

Wow. I have been a Peg 83 loyalist for years. Then, I found the Shadow 5000. Great fit, great style and great comfort, you will not be disappointed! Oh yeah, and great service and fast shipping from Zappos!

Well made and the picture is accurate to style. Love everything about the shoe except that its a good deal bigger than the size marked. I'm a consistent 10.5 in every brand I know and I'm swimming in these.
