Love these shoes. I am female but wear an 11 1/2 in women's and it is impossible to find what I need in women's in that size. I did not buy these shoes for toning. I bought them because my feet and joints feel so much better in them as I have arthritis in most parts of my body. If you do, try them.

My husband bought these shoes. He has multiple melanoma and has extreme pain in his back and hips. He was using a cane. He has been wearing these in the house instead of slippers and he can see a difference in his pain and has hung up his cane for now.

Yes these sneakers are wonderful. I bought them for my husband who has Multiple Sclerosis and his balance is off and he walks very well with these rocker/shape sneakers. I highly recommend them.

I recently received my Avia ishape shoes in 4e and they are plenty wide and very comfortable, granted I have only had them for a week but so far very pleased and the price is great.

I ordered these shoes because I too have developed Plantar Fasciitis two years ago. Had some injections done in my heels and it helped...but eventually it returned. I was able to find a pair of shape up shoes at K-Mart last year and it really seemed to help! Went all over my town of Beckley WV and could not find even one store that sold this style of shoes in mens. I was astounded! I saw an interview with Barbara Walters about this company "Zappos", I thought what the hell...I'll check. I found these Avia shoes and placed the order. They showed up a few days later and I love them. A great price and well worth the effort. I'm wearing them at this moment.

When I was diagnosed with a severe case of Plantar Fasciitis a few months ago, I thought my days as a recreational runner were over; the pain and swelling were so acute that I could hardly get shoes on, let alone go jogging in them. A visit to my doctor revealed the grim news, the prognosis & the possible remedies. He told me that I needed serious arch and heel support & he recommended that I acquire a pair of those Skechers shoes with the "shape-up" soles. He said that even though any claims of these shoe's ability to help the wearer "shape-up" are dubious, they do, nonetheless, offer tremendous arch support. I was optimistic as I headed to the store, but quickly had my hopes dashed upon seeing the price tag of these things. I refused to be deterred, & my search took me to an adjacent rack that featured (among others) Avia products & among those was the Avi-Motion line which the salesperson asserted were functionally comparable to the Sketchers (but these were cheaper), so I went for it. These shoes have a sole that has a kind of exaggerated convex profile to it (i.e. one continuous curve from toe to heel). Since most of us are used to (essentially) flat soles, this arrangement can feel kind of funny at first (as it did for me; with my feet easily able to rock front to back while standing stationary). One advantage to this is that is essentially forces the wearer to make a smooth transition from heel to toe while striding (it was my habit of running on the balls of my feet that caused my foot problems in the first place). Any unusual sensation caused by the shape of the sole abates after a very short period of time (maybe an hour) & thereafter feels no more odd than any other shoe I'd ever worn. Besides saving money, another plus that the Avias had over the Skechers was their understated appearance; putting on a pair of the Skechers make your feet look like a couple of advertising billboards (with more logos and slogans per square inch than I've ever seen on a pair of shoes). My advice to makers of shoes & other apparel is that if you want me to advertise for you, we can work out an endorsement deal... otherwise, I don't want your logos on my body! The Avias are white calf-skin leather with white soles & just a hint of gray embellishments. Tasteful. My doctor encouraged me to get back to running as soon as I was comfortable in doing so. I was scared, but four weeks after my diagnosis I headed down to my local high school track to see what'd happen. To my astonishment, I was able to break into an easy stride without any pain whatsoever (at a time when just walking around barefooted on a hard surface was uncomfortable). These days, I'm back up to my usual four miles per day, three days per week & I'm convinced that I have these shoes (in large part) to thank for my quick return to "normal."

The price is right, the service is quick, the product is exactly what was wanted -- and I did not have to leave the house! This is my second Zappos purchase...or is it my third? Not my last one, for sure!

Light weight, very comfortable with just a bit more room in the toe which is fine by me. Excellent arch support as well. They feel like I can easily walk all day in them. As everyone that uses Zappos already knows how outstanding their customer service, selection, shipping etc. is I almost feel it unnecessary to repeat it. Once again they exceeded my expectations, which is becoming SOP for Zappos, by overnight shipping these shoes as an exchange.

Excellent MBT copy, just as comfortable and work just as well. I have several pairs of MBT's and these are lighter and easier to wear all day. At about 1/4 of the price of MBT's, these are a great deal. My MBT's are just sitting on the shelf for now.

I'm a middle-aged man with degenerative osteo-arthritis of the knees. Walking is a necessity for me and painful, to say the least. I was going to order my regular Avia's here and spotted these (extra wide). I read about them and ordered them, though they appeared strange looking. When I first put them on it was like...whoa, a little bit of tipping forward and backward, just a bit. Within 5 minutes, they were mastered and I will never buy another pair of any other type of walking shoes - incredibly comfortable for my knees and legs. Living in Montana I have never seen these available in any store. Suffer from bad legs or knees? These aren't a cure, but they're almost sure to help!

Amazing arch support keeps my husband's flat feet from killing him by keeping him off his heels. I have the women's version and love them, too. They're a little funny looking from the side, but well worth the sacrifice for the comfort gained.

These shoes are the best. My feet killed me till I found them. Then I couldn't find them in the stores. Thanks Zappos for having them at a low cost.

I have had knee problems and with these shoes the problem has gone away.

This is a great shoe. It took a couple of days to get used to, but then...Wow! I don't know if I'm walking better, but I'm enjoying it more.

I am a nurse and am on my feet running for 8-12 hours per day. I was having pain in my feet/toes and tried this shoe. It is fabulous, most comfortable shoe ever. Already bought another pair for home wear and telling all my nurse friends about it!

I love this shoe. I have problem feet along with knee pain and heel spurs. I was looking for a work out shoe for the gym. I had heard many wonderful things about MBT shoes and how they are good for your feet but I didn't want to spend a lot of money to try them. This Avia iShape has the same concept of a rolling sole. When I first put these shoes on, my feet felt great. It took several days to get used to them because I walk differently in them. The design pushes me forward. I want to move when I'm wearing these. They are also wonderful for driving. I feel no pain in my heels while driving. I bought the 12 4E for my wide feet and there is plenty of room in the toe box. If you buy these, I would recommend breaking them in slowly so that your body adjusts to the new style of moving. I wish Avia would offer some styles in casual footwear in addition to the iShape.

These shoes (Avia iShape) really helped with my chronic plantar fasciitis (PF) foot pain. After slowly breaking in my leg muscles over one week, I am now able to walk 4 times as long as I did before, with little foot pain. Up from 15 minutes to 1 hour. I have had PF for 40 years and have had several professional orthotics, but have not had much relief until now. I am using the insole that came with the shoe rather than the over-the-counter type I have been using. They do change you gait I guess, but they feel secure and have no side to side wobble that other shoes of this type have. The nice thing is, if you don't like them, you can send them back.

I order men size because my foot looks big in regular women shoes. I'm 5'3 and wear a womans 10. I ordered a mans shoe size 9 and it fits great.I usually wear in 8, so on this style I would suggest you order a size larger like I did. My order arrived quick. Not complaining. I was anxiously awaiting them. I work in health care and this shoe has really put some pep in my step. Oh so comfortable for the long 10 to 12 hour shifts.

This is the fourth pair of shoes I have bought from Zappos and the first sneakers. As before they fit well, are comfortable and I am thoroughly satisfied.

I found these shoes at a local store but they didn't have my size, so I tried Zappos. With their return policy I figured there was no risk and the price was a few dollars cheaper. It turned out that these shoes are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned, I love 'em! Thanks Zappos.
