Am a big fan of these. This is the second pair I've owned. Comfortable and have subtle design differences to make them just a bit different from the typical Chuck Taylors. To me, it was worth the extra money.

Great slip Converse for the summer. Good for the beach or something to slip outside of the routine ol' flip flop. Comfy, casual and easy. Add to that the John Varvatos sole and you have yourself a stylish yet comfy all around sneaker for the warm months.

I love these shoes. When my last pair wore out after 2 years I searched in vain to find them again. Zappos! is the only place that had them. Speaking of Zappos!, I have never found better customer service anywhere. That holds true even when factoring in physical stores and not just other websites. They are fast, friendly, and go out of their way to resolve problems. Love the shoes and the company. One note-- if you aren't used to laceless Chucks, they might feel a little loose until you get used to them.

John Varvatos adds nice cushioning and support in his Chucks...they feel extra good. I ordered multiple usual 7 and they are a tiny bit larger than the regular Chucks 7, so you may want to try these 1/2 size down. I wear the coordinating socks so the size works. These are a great slip on sneaker - I have worn them for flying. They are easy on easy off, and my feet stay covered and comfortable on the plane. As someone who has handled airline claims, here is an extra tip: keep your tootsies covered when traveling by air. Things fall during turbulence and it is easy to stub toes in the tight spaces. Love these sneaks!

Comfortable. My first pair of Chucks, I chose the JV ones due to the reviews saying they are made better than the original Chuck. I wear a size 10.5 and I had to order mine a size 9.

Like others have said, ordering a half size smaller than you are used to is the smart way to go. The shoe takes a little while to break into in terms of full comfort, but overall it's a great shoe and one that I love to wear and get questions and compliments on.

After wearing these I never want to wear another pair of normal converse. Their comfort is incredible and they fit great. May want to order a half size smaller than usual just to help the shoes stay on since they're laceless. They're definitely worth the extra cash.

Great looking shoe (slip-on). Befitting the Varvatos name, the cap toe has a slightly worn (vintage) coloration/look to it so if you are looking for gleaming white cap toes on a pair of Chucks you may want to go with the regular All Stars. The pair I bought are in black and they look great with anything. Keep in mind it is a slip-on so without laces combined with the fact that they are All Stars you will want to get a size smaller to make sure your heels don't slip out. Other than that, great shoe and as always Zappos is the best! AMAZING super fast free shipping and customer service!

I had a sizing issue with this shoe, because Converse doesn't have a consistent sizing scheme. I recommend starting with a full and half size smaller than you normally wear, then seeing which is best. I like these shoes. They look crisp and clean, feel sturdy, and confuse everyone older than 55 with its lack of laces. I wish they were a smidge wider because my feet fill a little cramped after a full day wearing them.

I love the Chucks slips, but those are of notably lower quality and last way less long than these. These have a thicker sole, offer much better support, particularly in the heels, and last quite a bit longer. I'm a huge fan of these and just ordered pairs 3-5 through myself, as I'm so in love with them and pair #2 is just about worn out. If you like Chucks, I highly recommend these. They're well worth the extra money! I won't go back to normal Chucks anymore.

These are great looking and quality sneakers! Zappos was quick to deliever I have to return them for a bigger size but all is good!

These are outright one of my favorite shoes. I've bought 3 pairs since I started wearing them in 2009; I wear them so much, they wear out! What makes these stand out are the insoles and the bottom soles of the shoes. The insoles they place in here are much more comfortable than a regular pair of Converse, so much so that I feel comfortable wearing them without socks. Furthermore, the bottom soles have the cool All-Star logo, which is more aesthetic than functional, but definitely adds to it's style points. I usually wear a size 9, but go down to a size 8 (per its instructions). As long as they keep making this shoe, I'll keep buying it!

They are great. I actually found that they ran just about true to size, if not a half size smaller. They look and feel great and I have gotten a number of compliments, other than from my teenage daughters...but that is nothing new. :D

I bought two pair of these and love them both! These are comfortable and stylish. If they had more colors, I would probably order more.

Love the look, bought all three colors. I wear a size twelve but bought an eleven and a half, the fit was great. Get a lot of compliments. Wear them with all colors of Levi's and the insoles are the best in these John Varvatos Vintage slip. I wear them every day rotating each pair though the week. You won't go wrong with the purchase of these Converse by JV. Buy one, buy two, enjoy the look and comfort of these Vintage slip ons. Enjoy!

As someone who prefers to wear the low Chuck Taylor style of Converse I have to say that my choice has always been those with the John Varvatos name attached..,they are amazing with better quality and style than the standard Chuck Taylor's and these are no different....that's why I purchased a pair in both black and gray, worth the extra money. And being laceless, they do get noticed...I have been asked by others where they could get these and what colors are available. I find these CT's to fit almost true to size, maybe only go down a 1/2 size at best, and they are certainly more comfortable than the standard CT slip-ons. They also look good with most jeans, esp. with True Religion jeans as I have been told when I wear them together...I would definately recommend these to anyone, as I would most of the John Varvatos line of converse. And the best part is buying from Zappo's, I can purchase online at home, and I will receive the item the next day with free shipping...now that's customer service!

These shoes are great. The fit is true to my "normal" size 12 in this brand. They are comfortable and a perfect shoe for summer. Love all the Varvatos line of products.

Look just like the pic. My boyfriend loves them! Wouldn't normally spend this much but, he's a Converse "lover" so I knew he'd love these.

Best shoes I've ever worn! Way more comfortable then your average chucks. The sole looks awesome and unique. Worth the money fer sure! Size is more accurate the the average chucks, so don't buy a size smaller.

Beautifully designed take on the classic. I love the color and detail (and my preschool aged daughter loves the big red star on the bottom). My only complaint is the sizing; ordinarily I wear a 10.5, but based on reviews here went with a 10 and then finally a 9.5 before I found a good fit. Still, stylish and comfortable.

Chuck Taylors run big so I had to go through a few sizes find the right one. They're okay. They're nice. It feels like I might slip out of them.
