Very comfortable shoes, but they are a little short in length, so allow an extra half size for sure. You will probably want to wear good socks with them. Easy to walk in, even though it is a little different feel than regular walking shoes.

Like the shoes. I wear them around the house while I am cleaning, trying to kill two birds. They are comfortable and I do feel it in my legs, after wearing them for a while my arches start to hurt, but if you are looking for this kind of shoe, I think they do the job.

I purchased the Avia Women's Avi-Motion I-Shape shoes after trying them on at a store. I fell absolutely in love with the comfort of these shoes and they made me want to walk - a lot! I purchased them and for one week I wore them every day (both for walking and just for daily wear). I have had two arthroscopic knee surgeries a few years ago on one knee and have had no trouble with my knees for at least 3-4 years now. However, after wearing these shoes for one week, both of my knees were in awful pain! I was so disappointed and alarmed! I love these shoes - the comfort is off the charts - you want to wear nothing but these shoes; however, I think they cause you to walk differently, thus engaging your knees big time - which ended up bringing a lot of pain to my knees. I went back to my regular tennis shoes and in less than a week, the knee pain subsided. I did notice that I felt a lot of tightening in my buttock area and you can feel the shoe working on your calves so they undoubtedly do help with shaping up! My husband also purchased a pair and he really loves his avi-motion shoes and wears them daily during work as well as while walking. He is younger than I am and doesn't have any knee issues so perhaps these shoes are just not a good investment for people with knee problems. I also feel that the style looks a bit like a orthopedic shoe an old person would wear. A couple of people actually made fun of me when I wore the shoes!

I\'m not sure if I like these shoes or not but in all fairness, I have worn them little since I got them. I have plantar fasciitis and really think that a good ol\' pair of Brooks walking shoes is better for my feet because of their support.

I purchased this fitness sneaker 2 weeks ago. I wore them exactly 5 times and from day 1, they have not quite lived up to the reviews that caused me to purchase this shoe. I for one found that this sneaker stretches quite a bit. After day 1, these sneakers felt extremely large 'width' wise. It may have to do with the leather used being too soft for this type of sneaker. Aside from the stretching, the sneaker looks as if I've worn them for a month. The support seems OK, but my arches did feel a bit sore at day's end. In all fairness, my work day is 8 to 11 hours. On a plus side, these sneakers do alleviate the pain I suffer from plantar fasciitis, and this is the only reason I just marginally recommended this sneaker.

I don't know what Avia has done to these shoes. They are supposed to be the same model that I already have, but as soon as I put it on I realized how much cheaper they are. They hurt my feet so much that it took me a whole day for the pain to subside. I never will order these again.

I bought these shoes in July 2010 and this review is October 2010. I was happy with the fit and comfort, but they have completely fallen apart! Only 2 months after I got them, the heel split, so it is flapping off and the inside fabric of the heel wore through a month ago. I would not recommend this product if you are walking more then an hour a day and will never buy these low quality shoes again! Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with this product!

Don't buy! They start out cushiony but then the heels fall into the center. Didn't even last a year w/ limited wear.
