I have worn Birkenstocks for many years (more than 30) and have, and do, own numerous styles. I bought the Granada Soft Footbed to replace a pair of soft footbed Birkenstocks in a similar style. This is the only pair of Birkenstocks that I don't like, for various reasons: The cut of the top strap is farther down on the top of my foot than any other pair I own, which causes me to step out of it regularly. When I tighten the top strap the edge of the piece of leather under the buckle, is right on the bone of my foot, and it's painful. I can't get a good fit from these sandals. Also, the buckle placement looks odd - instead of it being on the side as all other Birkenstocks, it is on top of the foot, which looks goofy. Every time I put them on, I wish I would have sent them back. This $135 purchase was a bad one. I never thought I would write a negative review about a pair of Birkenstocks.

This is my 5th pair of Birkenstock’s, my 2d Granada in regular width. But dimensions have changed! they are significantly narrower! note in my photos that straps on new pair (brown) are on LOOSEST holes, and still don’t fit! The inner footbed measurements are smaller in width in the new pair. I didn’t anticipate a non-fit when re-ordering the same brand, model, and size. Had to return them but I do plan to contact the manufacturer about this.

This is my 1st pair of soft footbed birkenstocks. I've worn the regular footbed before and these are amazing. I did have to break in the leather a little bit from the instep but once the leather soften they became my favorite pair of sandals. I walked around the house with socks at the beginning to break them in. Will definitely buy another pair or soft footbed. Would recommend them to anyone who finds the footbed of the regular birks too stiff. Narrow width is great for someone who has a narrow to medium width foot.

Wow. I ordered these Grenada Birkenstocks yesterday at six and received them today at six. Shut the front door! I ordered a 37R even though I wear 71/2. I tried several different styles of Birkenstocks on in a store and the 38 was long. So I rolled the dice on these. The width is perfect to accommodate my huge bunions and normal foot. The length is a tad short, but I am not hanging over the shoe and the toe placement is fine. Yay! I have been dreaming about these shoes ever since my fake Birkenstocks broke after two weeks, same style. Sigh. They were so comfortable I decided to pony up for the real thing. The tobacco leather looks really nice and is not at all stiff. I love this style and am crossing my fingers the real leather strips will not break! Am enclosing a photo of my ugly feet so you will know if I am happy y’all will be happy.

The soft footbed is an improvement on already pretty perfect shoed, I will be looking for more shoes with this style footbed. The design of these shoes are cute and not-clunky at all. I love Birkenstocks!

Everything was excellent EXCEPT... the foot bed of the shoe has already started majorly separating from the sole. I’ve never experienced any shoe I’ve owned do this! I am super disappointed in the lack of quality here. I’ve never had an issue with Zappos or Birkenstock like this before. And I’ve only owned them a little over a month.

A 40 in Birkenstocks is not a 9. I thought perhaps they changed the sizing. These will be returned and a 39 will be ordered.

I bought these shoes for my mother...who is a die-hard Birky lover. She had never tried the soft footbed. She is picky and persnickety and she loved them! I liked them as they are dressier than the normal Birkenstocks and my 78 year old mother looks less like a '60s hippie and more like a hipster! Thanks Zappos for coming through with the perfect gift!

I have really enjoyed wearing my new Birkenstock shoes. I have Plantar Fasciitis and heel Spurs and have to wear my tennis shoes with my orthotics all the time. It is a nice cool break to m feet to put on my Birkenstocks.

These were my first Birkenstocks. I am very pleased I ordered them. I wear them all the time! Good support and so comfortable and very well made. The color goes with everything. I am definitely a new Birkenstock fan and will definitely order more in the future. I normally wear a medium, but have to get narrow with the Birkenstock brand, as they run wide. Keep this in mind if you wear a medium shoe. Zappos is the best company to do business with, bar none!

This is my 2nd pair I have ordered in 2 weeks. The first pair was blue. I decided to splurge and order a new black pair also since mine are 10+ years old, and yes, I wear them mostly every day. I have worn Birks for 30+ years. The best fit is on day 3 or 4 when stretched a tad bit. Just do yourself a favor, buy one pair, wear them for many years, and you will be a happy gal (or guy!).

This was my first time ordering from Zappos and I was very satisfied. I will definitely be ordering in the future. These sandals were exactly what I was looking for. I love the oiled leather uppers. They fit perfectly & the soft footbed is really nice. I wear a narrow & the width was just right. I was concerned about the size but, with Zappos return policy I knew it wouldn't be a problem if they didn't fit just right.

Excellent shoe. Wear them practically 24/7. I have planter fasciitis and podiatrist recommended I wear Birkenstocks. Has helped tremendously. And as always, just love, love, love Zappos service. Wish every online website was as efficient as Zappos!

These make a “farting” noise when I walk. They also hurt the outer side of the lowest part of my left pinky toe. They are not as masculine looking as the original style with two thick straps, so that’s a plus. My street size is an 8.5-9 but I had to get these in a 38 and the length was perfect. Wish they didn’t hurt my left foot as much as they do. I’ve worn them for the last four days and my foot is paying for it. Will probably have to donate them. So sad, especially for the price.

As other reviews have noted, be sure to order a full size smaller than you normally wear (I normally wear a 9, I bought these in 8). If you can find it in a Narrow size you will probably be just fine, as they tend to run wide and the leather will stretch out. It took me about 3 days to break these in, re-adjusting the straps so the footbed arches hit my feet in the right spots. They are now quite comfy and I wear them all day around the house and for outside errands. It has a strappy look that is rather cute and not like the typical "Birkenstock" clunky look.

At 64 years old, I've been wearing Birks for a lot of years. I have a packing crate full of them, plus an overflow. With feet that become more painful each year, I'm always searching for the right shoe and keep coming back to my Birks. The new soft footbed is a life saver, too. It's nearly instant pain relief. I've always bought the "regular" width but have noticed in the past couple years or so that they seem wider than previously. This shoe I ordered in a narrow and it fits great on my moderately wide foot with a very high instep. Due to puppy antics over the years, this is probably the 5th Granada I've bought because it's more feminine than many of my other styles.

This was my first pair of Birkenstocks and I think they are going to work out great for me. I have only worn them three times so far, but they are very comfortable right from the start. My only concern is that I have the top buckle by the toes as tight as it can get and I'm hoping the leather strap doesn't stretch too much or the shoes may be get too loose. I suppose I could have another hole placed in the strap if this happens. The width is great. I have medium to wide feet and usually take between a 7 or 7 1/2. The manufacturer says these shoes are medium width but I would say they are definitely more on the wide side. I bought the size 38. The footbed is very comfortable, supported, and cushioned all at the same time. I'm thinking I may become a new fan of Birkenstocks.

Perfect fit and style. I am a true 9 and bought the narrow 40 which fit perfectly for me. I do like them small/narrower than what is recommended. I was looking for the least amount of 'presence' with my next birks but still wanted the traditional comfort and ability to wear socks in winter. These totally checked off all the boxes. The tobacco leather is very light - does show scuff marks more (not a negative IMO). The buckles are on the top of the foot which seems fine, actually better than sticking out on the sides. The cutout straps make for a low profile, ventilated shoe - too early to tell how they hold up (have seen reports of straps breaking after little wear). Best birks I've ever had.

I normally wear a women's size 9 but I take a 39 (women's 8) in Birkenstocks. I have a lower arch and always found regular Birkenstocks left me with aching feet and legs. These soft footbeds are wonderful and comfortable. The cut outs in the straps are stylish and airy. The tobacco leather goes with just about everything and looks great with tanned skin. I can't stand when my footbeds look grungy. So I use a paste of dish detergent and baking soda, apply/scrub it in with a toothbrush. I let the mixture dry on the sandals and then brush it off. A quick rinse, a little extra scrub with the toothbrush and allowing them dry completely makes them look and feel like new again. Have done this multiple times on my soft footbed Granadas. The way I care for the tobacco leather is a light application of jojoba oil.

So comfortable! I have a heel spur and wanted to wear something other than my walking shoes with Orthotics. A friend recommended Birkenstock. My heel hasn't hurt at all since I got them!

Over all the shoe was great. Unfortunately, if you’ve got wider feet that normally fit the regular width you are going to find yourself disappointed. While the sole fit perfectly, the straps are not NEARLY as long as they need to be. They would have definitely rubbed my foot raw. Sad to say I’m returning them. I attached a pic, please forgive me for the swollen feet, driving all day does that to me! Haha

Let's face it, you don't wear Brikenstocks to be fashionable! But these are a little more delicate looking than most. The soft footbeds are as supportive as the regular ones but are much more comfortable, especially when walking on concrete. These sandals did take some breaking in as the leather is somewhat stiff and the top strap hits in an unusual spot.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock's, I like them so much I bought the same style in Blue. I've had several compliments on the style as it can be dressy or casual. The soft footbed is very comfortable, I would highly recommend this sandal to anyone looking for a great all around sandal.

I bought size 9 blue to match a handbag. These shoes are awesomely crafted and totally comfortable. I can't say they are sexy because I have big, wide feet, but they fit perfectly and the color is beautiful with jeans. These are fabulous runaround shoes for times when foot comfort and health are priority. Adjustable straps help with fit as my feet are B width. Traction is incredible. If you are used to the feel and quality of Birkenstocks, you will be happy with these sandals.
