I got these pants for my husband for a trip to Italy. I wasn't sure how they'd look on him - he's a pleated-pants guy; flat-front isn't as flattering. The way these pants are shown threw me off too because it looks like a lady's waistline (no offense Zappos). But I am thrilled to report that these are the coolest pants around! They look great on him, rugged but still look nice when dressed up with a black polo. Lightweight, easy wash and dry on the road. We're going to get tons of mileage out of these and I recommend them highly - they're super-Kuhl!

These are my favorite pair of pants; lightweight, breathable, stretchable, and comfortable. Great for travel (they pack small and light). Also, excellent casual pant.

Great pants, light, stretchy, comfy. Runs a little big in waist as is stretchy, legs roomy, and length is full 32 inches for that length. Great cargo pockets with zippers without looking like big bulky patch on your legs.

These are great pants for travel - very light weight, packs easily and versatile, can go from hiking to dinner out. They seem well made and durable, but are very light weight. Fit is a little snugger than the Kuhl jeans, but still very comfortable and plenty of room in the leg and seat.

Nice pants. Extremely comfortable, stylish, maximum freedom of movement, good pockets, though I would wish for top loading cargo pockets rather than side zips. Sort of soft shellish in that they seem to shed water a little bit, but too thin to be considered anything but a warm weather pant. My friend with kuhl pants has had problems with the durability of the front snap used, but at least there is a backup button on flap.

I now have faith in Kuhl again. Comfortable. Breathable. Looks good. Wish they made them in more colors.

I may never wear jeans again. These pants are that comfortable. Tough, lightweight, functional, and stylish. The hidden zippered cargo pockets are a nice touch. I have two pairs now, and if Kuhl offers these in black, I'll have three.

I love these pants! They're waterproof, comfortable, and multi-purpose. I'm a minimalist when I pack. These pants are great for hitting the trail, the town, the gym, or even the hay.

Nice, loose fitting. Material resembles canvas, but is much lighter, thinner, and slightly stretchy! Dries quickly. Good pocket placement, tough Velcro on both back pockets. Slightly heavier than hiking pants. Very nice, but pricey.

I bought a pair of these at REI and really liked them even though the size wasn't quite right. I prefer a size 33 waist but REI only had 32 or 34. I thought the pants only came in even sizes until I checked Zappos. Zappos had the odd sizes too so I ordered a pair. They fit perfectly. Because they are made of nylon, they dry out quickly when they get wet. In the damp Northwest they work well for rain and wind. I wear them hiking, working outside, and for traveling. Actually, I wear them more than I wear jeans. The pants are very comfortable, too. I wear them outside and inside instead of sweatpants. They are better than sweatpants for keys, wallet, and phone because they have real pockets. They look outdoorsy, but with sports clothes they look sporty.

Five stars, hands down! I absolutely love these pants. I purchased my first pair of these about three years ago and they are still going strong. The only reason that I purchased a new pair is due to my my size changing. I wear these pants at least once a week, and the quality is superior than other pants made of this material. They are lightweight, really comfortable, and definitely worth the price. You cannot go wrong with these.

Excellent fit for a tall, slim man. Super comfortable. All my new pants are going to by Kuhl.

Great pants. The fabric is soft, and slightly stretchy/elastic. Preferred these over the Mountain Hardware Mesa pant for fit and feel. The Mesa was much looser in the seat, and the fabric was rougher. There are more logos on the pant than I would normally prefer, but it wasn't a showstopper. I'm a 32 waist and the Med fit perfect.

Love these pants! Completely comfortable and cool in heat. Plenty of pockets to carry pretty much everything you need. The one issue is the side pocket, which holds items well but seems to "sag" as the day progresses if you keep you phone in it. Overall, a great pair of pants though (I own two).

Color is not the same as shown in the photo. The khaki pants are very green in person not light white khaki in the photo.

These are very comfortable. They have a great stretch to them - good yoga pants that do not look like yoga pants. The downsides are they are a bit narrow in the legs. If you have more muscular legs, they will be snug. Most Kuhl pants are NOT this way. Also, the material is not all that durable - I have some Kuhl shorts of the same material and they are not built to climb, ride, run, etc without tearing up.

Nice pants. I bought the gray ones a while back and liked them so much I bought these. One problem, the Khaki colored ones are cut an inch shorter than the same size in the gray. These are almost to short even though they are the same size.

I love Kuhl pants a lot. I'm wearing a pair now! (Kontra.) But these pilled between the thighs on day 2. They were fabulously comfortable on day one and I thought they'd be my favorite pants of life. But by the end of day 2, they were growing unwearable because they pilled so badly. Disappointed.

I really wanted to like these pants. I am a Kuhl fan, so this feels like a betrayal. First of all, Kuhl must have an uncalibrated tape measure in the design shop, because this is the second pair of 33-inch waist Kuhl pants I have bought that are an inch bigger than 33 inches. The Renegades are indeed lightweight, but they are so lightweight they retain almost no shape. They hang on my legs in the way of the newer pajama-style major league baseball pants. If you couldn't see the top, you might think they were sweats. As for the oversized 33-inch waist problem, that's OK initially, but as the day wears on these pants just get droopier and droopier. My cell phone looks like a rock hanging in a nylon bag in the pocket. I'm wearing these pants now, and just finished a long international flight. I had to remove my belt to go through airport security, and the pants almost fell off. Unfortunately I thought I needed the pants for the trip, but I wished I had returned them instead.

Interesting how some reviews seem to be in more than one model's reviews. Wonder how that happens. Anyway I own a number of Kuhl pants and shorts. I work in the water sports industry as a Scuba Instructor so light weight and quick dry are a must. Fit and wearability are also strong factors when I choose shorts and pants. Kuhl lower wear as I call them, fits these 4 points very nicely. Only one problem with Renagades are that the material "pills" if you wear them a lot. By a lot I mean two pair worn in rotation over a week's time. Other Kuhl material does not suffer but can be too heavy. Just my .02.

Love these pants. Great stretchy water resistant material. Super comfortable. My new favorite pants. Will be buying another pair.

My husband already had a pair of these and, when I found them here, I got more. They are comfortable, fit nicely, easy to clean and durable. We love the Kuhl brand for the quality.

Pants fit well. The fabric is synthetic and not very soft. It stretches noticeably and repels water very well, so it's suitable for outdoor activities such as climbing or canyoneering. Two of the zippered pockets are made of mesh and can act as cooling vents.

The Renegade Pant is awesome. Will be my go to pant for travel. I love the velcro back pockets and zippered side pockets.
