Ordered this shoe in the Champagne Metallic. It's a cute color but I didn't like the crackle effect on the shoe. It makes it look like the shoe is peeling. I'm normally a 6.5 but I would rather take a 7 in these shoes. Cute shoe all around, but I would go with a different color.

I too had a problem with the fit of these shoes. I have owned several pairs of Born's before, and have found that they stretch generously. These shoes were the right length, but tight across the toes and uncomfortable at the edge of the shoe all the way around. I really liked them; it's so hard to find an unadorned black flat! I was hopeful that these would stretch and be comfortable so I didn't want to get a larger size. After 3 uncomfortable wearings, I can finally wear them all day. Wearing them around the house with thick socks helped stretch them.

This shoe does not fit right. I normally wear between a 7 and 7.5 in flats. In the 7.5, my big toe was touching the front of the shoe, so I ordered a size 8, where my big toe was still touching the front of the shoe but overall it was a little loose. Very odd fit. If it happens to fit, it seems like it would be a very comfortable shoe though.

This shoe is not as comfortable as I had hoped and not like other Born flats I have. Although the size is right the shoe hurts my big toes and my feet are in good shape without any problems. I think ordering a larger size is not the solution. I am disappointed. I wish I had saved the return box and label but I did not.

Cute but not as comfy as all my other Born flats. Silver ones had marks on them already out of the box! No arch support and felt a 1/2 size smaller than all my other Born flats. I am returning these.

This shoe is very disappointing. I've purchased born shoes before and found them very comfortable, but these rub and give blisters and have not strecthed as expected. A total waste of 80 dollars!

I've had a couple pairs of Born shoes, and like the others, these really need to be broken in before you wear them for a long time. In particular, the back of Born shoes digs into my heel. I foolishly did not break these in before wearing them on a trip, and they rubbed a big blister in my heel and stained my heel black. On the other hand, the sole is very comfortable, and I felt like they had good arch support for flats (but I don't have very high arches). I was worried that they might look a little frumpy, but they look very cute on.

These shoes are a bit strange. I'm going to keep them because they do have some pluses: they seem well made, they offer decent support, and the leather is sturdy, not flimsy. They have some minuses, though: While my normal size is the right length -- a half size larger and I'd be walking out of them -- they feel tight on the big toe, on the top. I think they might stretch out with wearing, because the left one already feels better after 8 hours in them. But I put an adhesive cushion on that spot, inside the shoe. Also, the inside color (black) rubbed off onto my feet. I will wear these on "normal" walking days in NYC but won't wear them if I'm going to be walking for hours at a time. They're kind of cute, but more serviceable that stylish.

As I wear a lot of Born shoes, I was very surprised how tight the fit was on this shoe, especially across the toes. Cute shoe, but have to return.

Too narrow and tight. Almost all of my shoes are Born, but this particular style is very uncomfortable. Felt full size smaller then marked. I wear 10, but felt like 9. I am returning them.

These earn big style points. Sadly, I will be returning them due to comfort/fit. They run wide, and rub on my ankle. So sad these aren't going to work.

These are a lovely shoe. I, however, was misled by the material listing. In looking for a vegan shoe, I mistook the vegetable leather to mean something different. These in fact are made with real leather for the upper, with a man made sole. There were some other forums that I read questioning this, and I figured I'd clarify. They are not vegan. For me this was sad news. They truly are beautiful, if only they weren't made of leather.

Nice shoe - great quality - but the shoe itself is very slim. I have to return.

I have identical shoes from French Sole that are softer on the foot. I only got them because French Sole did not have this color. They caused blisters on my heel because they are stiff. Also I did not like the feel of the split sole.

So disappointed with these shoes given the many glowing reviews. Pretty much no arch support (fine, I have flat feet and don't really need it) but the inside soles are extremely slippery and when wearing tights my feet keep sliding around and twisting. They were a bit wide for my feet which allowed for some of the motion, and occasionally they would even slide off. They are painful to stand in for long periods of time and I feel pressure points even though they are really padded.

Although initially a very cute and comfortable shoe, I ultimately returned this for the following reasons: after wearing for a short time it turned my feet black. This is the case when the whole shoe is not real leather. My feet sweat so I need a good shoe. I think if you intend to wear this with socks, you should be okay. I got blisters in my toes. The shoe was not too small at all, there was space, but it is a hard shoe, not much flexibility even though it's leather. Maybe if you get a bigger size and wear with socks it would be okay.

These were cuter than they looked, but the fit was very strange. They somehow seemed to small and too big at the same time! A little too short, but too wide in the heel and around the foot, so it felt like they wouldn't stay on. Also, the gold color shown on the photo was not gold at all, but more of a mustard print on a grey background (which was actually pretty, but not gold like the photo). Had to return!

I cannot understand why so many said this shoe runs large. It runs small in length and the toe box is tight. And it's not very comfortable otherwise. No shape. They appear so comfortable and easy fitting, but they are not.

Cute but so painful. After two days these show no signs of breaking in and becoming comfy. I have many Born shoes and have never had to try anything to get them to form to my feet. The edge of these shoes that goes across the top of the foot has no give and even after powder and socks, still hurts to walk in them. Doesn't feel like a Born.
