We purchased this oven to replace a Delonghi oven that was more than 10 years old. This oven has more options and controls, and because it is convection, it works much faster. The fact that it accommodates a frozen pizza and larger amounts of food makes it even more useful and convenient than my beloved old toaster oven. It is not so large that it overtakes the counter, and I am noticing that I use it more than our regular oven - due to the precise controls, energy use and speed of cooking. Be careful, the edges get HOT and you are easily burned -- this is a real design flaw.

It is a great oven BUT it is a power hog. We have 20A circuits in the kitchen and after using it for 4 months it started dimming the lights when turned on. I was also totally disappointed with Breville's customer service and Zappos’ "fine print." When I asked to exchange it through Zappos I was told this product is an exception and that it is very clear on the site. I respectfully disagree.

I have had this oven for 2 years and I love it! Cleans easily with slide out crumb tray in front. I have baked casseroles, Texas toast, 12 in pizzas, cookies, coffee cakes, kept food warm with it. Mine came with a round pan I use for cookies and pizza, a broiling pan. I purchased other bake ware to fit into it. You can set dishes on top to keep warm also. It is real stainless steel. I have used it on granite and laminate counter tops. The temperature and numbers are back lighted and highly visible. The oven shelf comes out when you open the oven, which has two positions. I wouldn't trade this for anything and I just purchased a Breville Toaster I like the brand so much.

The more versatile your needs are the more you will appreciate having this oven on your counter, or wherever you need to have it. Cooking small party pizzas and using it as a toaster oven have saved us quite a bit of heat and electricity in the house. It preheats to 450 in about 3 minutes, as opposed to our house oven that does that in about 20 minutes. It comes with a nice pizza pan and a couple very nice racks. Typical Breville quality here.

I have had this oven for over a year now, and I use it every day. It is large enough that I rarely need to use my regular oven any more. It makes perfect toast in 4 - 4 1/2 minutes; does a great job of baking homemade bagels, pies, brownies -- everything I have tried. I love the crumb tray -- easy to pull out and clean. It has many settings for various purposes, and I have found most of them useful, although I haven't roasted meat in it; I do mostly baked goods. The quality of workmanship, materials, and design is excellent overall. The roasting pan and rack that come with it are heavy-duty metal with porcelain enamel coating. I will say that the pizza pan has a non-stick coating that is somewhat fragile. After a year of careful use, I set an apple pie on it recently to bake, and where the hot filling boiled over onto it, a bubble developed in the coating, leaving a bare spot when I washed it. As to customer service: when my oven arrived, the crumb tray had a huge dent in it, as if something heavy had been dropped on it. There was no way it happened during shipping, so it was a quality control failure. I really didn't want to return the whole oven to Zappos, so I e-mailed Breville with some photos, and within a couple of days they e-mailed me back that they were shipping me a new tray, which they did ... no hassle, no questions asked. There is no question that this oven is expensive, but I have to say that, so far, though not 100% perfect, its quality has lived up to the price.

This was my first purchase with you guys and I was blown away by the fact that It was shipped free and it arrived the next day! I'm very impressed with my new oven. It's twice the oven my old one was and it accommodates a full size 11x13 baking pan. It heats up in half the time as my big oven and cooks faster. Your company -keep up the great work!

After reviewing every toaster oven on the market, I was hesitant but decided to go with the Smart Oven,I think it was a smart choice! It is what it is, a toaster oven but it is a top of the line toaster oven.It is a great product.

The Breville BOV800XL is a little appliance that I fell in love with the minute I first used it. It is beautiful, very sturdy. I love that you can bake in it! It is real stainless steel. Don't laugh, but I use the top of it to place a clothespin with a magnet to hold and dangle a recipe -- when it's not in use of course! Come winter, it will be nice to be able to warm the dinner plates on top. All in all, this is a very well-made toaster oven and very much worth ordering. Zappos is tops in my book for service, promptness of delivery, and great return policy.

I waited a long time to buy this oven. I love countertop ovens and have used them for many years. I read a lot of great reviews about it but the price had forced to me wait. I have put it through several tests to see how well it performs and it does perform well so far. Very even baking, no hotspots so far. I haven\'t had to rotate a pan yet which is usually a hallmark of a well designed oven. The controls are intuitive and very thorough in its offerings. It even offers settings that distinguish between frozen and fresh pizza and sizes almost every size pizza. The toast function worked well actually. You can set not only the darkness but indicate how many pieces you are toasting. A single piece was very evenly toasted. Like almost every countertop oven, the exterior does get hot. Great product. I sure hope it lasts since so many items these days don\'t.

Chicken, beef, pork or pizza, this convection oven handles them all. It even toasts bagels and English Muffins. We are very pleased with this product and have already recommended it to friends.

The oven is everything it advertises. Even temperatures and accurate, easy operation, and not overly large for the countertop. Couldn't be more pleased. And Zappos' service was again outstanding!

Zappos provided excellent handling and prompt shipping. I received it within three days of order. The product was exactly as ordered, and operates beyond expectations. My wife was absolutely delighted!

You will not regret this purchase. A high quality oven! It works better than most built in stove/house/apartment ovens. Seamless design, no brainer settings and functions. Again, Breville lives up to its quality and performance. Kudos!

We have had other ovens, not a one could come close to the Breville, The Smart Oven. We will never use any other brand!

This is so superior to the toaster oven that we previously had that I don't know where to start. Toast is perfectly and evenly browned, the oven functions are wonderfully efficient, the controls are well-marked and intuitive, and the unit is solidly built and good-looking. It's a real piece of kitchen equipment, not a shabby appliance.

Great easy and quick. Those were our requirements and that's what it is!

Wow, I really like this little oven. Got it to use while I remodel and don't have a stove, but I like it so much I think I'll keep it in my completed kitchen. It's quick, hot, easy to use, has lots of options and settings. Has a better broiler than my old stove had. Speedy with frozen foods. I've never owned a microwave and can't imagine why anyone would want or need one when they could have a Smart Oven instead. My only reservation; don't love the way it looks (but don't really hate it either).

I ordered this stove as we were in need of more than a toaster over for our camper/temporary housing while our home was built. I do not know how I lived without this little guy! To call it amazing is falling short. This is a great oven and it cooks perfectly. I have a small family and I have been able to use this oven exclusively for over a year. I have absolutely no complaints about this oven and I love it! I also got the pizza stone and bamboo cutting board for the top - I recommend the cutting board as it allows you to use the top of the oven to place spices, etc. without getting hot. It has many pre-set cook settings that are very nice and having the convection feature really puts this one a step above the rest. Do yourself a favor and skip the toaster ovens and go for the real oven!

Fantastic oven. It is the first toaster-oven I've owned that actually works as described. I threw out my Cusinart oven because I could not get it to toast bread properly - either burnt or unevenly toasted. This one toasts! I've only used it a few times for baking, but it keeps the set temperature - checked it with oven thermometer - and everything has come out perfectly. I love the self-ejecting rack - no burnt hands. Overall, a wonderful product.

I have toasted bagels, bread, english muffins in the Breville and they all come out uniformly toasted. It is great for warming bread. It is much better than the cuisinart I had before. The crumb tray is in front so it is easy to remove. I got the recommendation for it from Cooks Illustrated.

I LOVE this oven! I wanted a small oven that could broil, bake and toast in order to avoid using my kitchen oven to cook small quantities of food. It was silly to use that much electricity to bake 2 potatoes or 4 cookies. I also wanted to reheat leftovers without using a microwave. This oven is really nice looking and I love the easy-to-use dials to adjust time and temperature. I like that you can add or subtract time just by turning the bottom dial. So far I've broiled fish and chicken, baked French macarons, reheated dinners and made toast. Everything has turned out perfectly. The only feature I haven't tested out yet is the convection bake, which I hope to try this weekend. This is one of my favorite kitchen purchases. I highly recommend it.

The Breville Smart Oven is a great addition to our kitchen. I've baked cookies, made chicken dishes, broiled fish, and created other dishes as well. One complaint is that after a few months of use, it stopped working. Thank goodness that Zappos has such a great return policy. Got a new oven and now we're back on our way to more delicious meals without heating up the entire kitchen! One warning, the oven itself gets pretty hot on the outside. Just don't let anything touch it on the sides. Other than that, and the fact that we had a unit quit, this is worth every penny!

Absolutely love this oven! It is an appliance I couldn't live without - it's used on a daily basis to reheat leftovers, bake cookies/brownies, etc. I use it more than my conventional oven! It's true to temp and bakes evenly. The settings and convection features are amazing additions to a "simple" toaster oven!

This is an awesome toaster oven! It has not disappointed me yet. And although I wish they had 'magnetized' the bottom and top shelves for easy pullout. I don't much consider that a disappointment, more like an 'opportunity area'. There is a great deal of thought and care into the design of this product and it shows. Its very easy to use, and has baked everything that I have cooked in it thus far tremendously well. Its functional, stylish and most importantly does its job well. I also like the idea of not having to waste so much energy with a large kitchen oven. Not to mention the time you save from the preheating process. A definite recommend! Thank you Breville.
