Lightweight and chic, secure zippers for city living. Living in London means that I must always carry: an umbrella, a sweater or pashmina, map of London, wallet, iPod, work phone, personal phone, sometimes a 6 lb laptop, and other personal items. I have stopped using my leather bags because they weigh at least 3 lb completely empty. I searched a very long time for a bag to be my commuting companion. Positives: secure zippers not magnetic snaps or open tote tops that leave my belongings ready for pickpockets. Waterproof is helpful too. Lightweight. Chic. Excellent construction quality (my previous $250 Charles David bag fell apart in 8 months, and the company has meanly decided to not offer a website or customer service). Multiple compartments because I miss many phone calls when I carry my single compartment bags and so that I don't flash my wallet when I take out my tube or train tickets. Design that is relatively classic but not stodgy. I have only had this bag for 2 weeks, so I can't comment on it's sturdiness, but this is far lighter than any of my Furla or Italian-made bags, and I'm not embarrassed to be seen with it. Negatives: soft bottom, no bottom padding so I can imagine things poking a hole through it eventually. The strap, though adjustable, starts to slide and grow longer within 10 minutes of walking around with it, especially when carrying 5 lb of stuff inside of it.

I purchased the Peter Jensen edition and I love the size. I was going to use it for a gym bag, but find it too nice to use as such, so am using it for an overnight business trip to see if it works for that as I pack light. Although there are zippers on all 4 sides of the bag, and a small removable bag to help organize things, I do wish there was some pocket inside. Plus, the lining is all black, and it makes it hard to see things. Overall, it's a good bag. My first LeSportsac. And it is a perfect size, stylishly fits all I need for going from work to the gym, as well as everything I need for an overnight business trip, including toiletries. The strap, although adjustable, doesn't look comfortable, so don't put too much into it.

I love this bag. I was hunting for the perfect bag to carry in the snow and rain in lieu of my nice leather bag. I hunted for weeks, and am extremely happy with my purchase. It holds up well in the rain and snow, sits comfortably cross body, and the exterior pockets are great. Perfect size for city commuting. The only downsides are: - No interior organization pockets - Black interior, can be hard to find stuff - Front and back exterior pockets look exactly the same, so it can be hard to know what stuff is in which pocket. I fixed this by tying a small ribbon to one zipper. Normally I'd want something a little "cuter," but this is jet black and so functional, it was worth it.

I had this bag in another fabric and used it for over 10 years for my carry on bag when traveling. I finally thought I better get a new one and opted for the black "patent" looking bag. Used it on a recent trip and it continued to do a great job. It has zip pockets on the outside which help organize stuff you need instant access to and the inside is big enough to hold toiletries, books, and a change of clothes. Great investment.

LeSportsac is such a great variety of designs and patterns. This is my newest purchase, and it's just the right size as a gym bag. I like all the outer pockets, and the extra bag. Two different handle options is convenient. But it was the pattern that was the final decision maker to buy this!

Two years ago, I bought a smaller version of this bag for travel in Europe. Loved it -- used it every day for two years after the trip, and even now, it still looks like new. This larger bag is just as pretty, just as tough, and just as useful. It's my gym bag right now, but it's the perfect carry-on size as well for the next time I go abroad. It's so lightweight! I also like that it's mushy, so you can wiggle it into places that a more rigid bag wouldn't go. The patent leather look is classy and a little dressy without being too froufrou. This bag was a really great purchase. I don't have a single regret.

I have ordered and received of these now. This is the perfect sized bag for short trips or even using as a little gym bag if you are tired of rummaging through your present one because its too large with too many choices. The various compartments and the reliability of this manufacturer is for our family, quite incredible. I did lose one I had for years at an airport and was crushed. All five family l members had used it at different times and always said "Where is the little Sportsac? I prefer a classic solid in zinc or black but see they have introduced many prints. I very trustworthy company who likely would honor their product but have not had to test yet. I heartily recommend and they also wash and dry naturally just fine!

I bought this bag to use as a carry-on bag. I almost got the large size, but ended up with the medium, because I usually carry more than I need to. I am glad I did. It is perfect - light weight, organized and oh, so pretty. I will use it as a handbag sometimes, too. I do not like the black lining so much, but I knew that when I ordered it, and loved the print so much I decided to deal with that minor issue. I loved that I was upgraded to 2-day air shipping. I ordered the black medium weekender to replace an old bag that got the "sticky" inside before LeSportsac added a lining. Was very disappointed with a large, unsightly silver claw type buckle that attached the handle to the bag on each side. One of the reasons I like LeSportsac is the simple lines with no heavy hardware. I won't use this for travel (looking for something lighter weight) but it will work as a gym bag.
